Hey Babes!
We wanted to pop in and let you know that Book Club Babes is taking a little break for the next couple of months. Not a goodbye, just a tiny pause!
Everything is A-OK on our end, life has just been a lot lately, and we want to make sure we’re showing up here in a way that still feels fun, creative, and us – not rushed or forced. We’re not going anywhere, if anything, we’re using this time to work on some things behind the scenes… including finally getting our merch up and running (!!)
So while the episodes might be quiet for a bit, BCB is very much still alive and well, just in a little reset era. We’ll be back before you know it!
This is BCB, signing off as a BRB.
Miss you already, Kate + Chantal

This week, we’re taking a quick detour from our April read, First-Time Caller, to revisit its inspiration: Sleepless in Seattle.
In under 15 minutes, we break down the iconic romance… and let’s just say, some moments should definitely stay in 1994, lol. Here’s hoping the book delivers a better love story! Let’s get into it.

We’re sitting down to discuss We Are All Guilty Here by Karin Slaughter, and wow, this one gave us a lot to unpack!
From complicated characters to twists we did not see coming, this book had us fully hooked. Safe to say… we’re already counting down to the next book in the series, The Secrets We Hide (hello June 18th ).
Content note: This story deals with some heavy and disturbing themes, so please check content warnings before reading if that’s something you’re sensitive to.
If you’ve read it, come scream about it with us in the comments – theories, favourite characters, wild guesses for book two… we want it all!

HEY BABES, welcome to Rating Roulette!!
This week, we picked some of our all-time favourite books (Project Hail Mary, Never Saw Me Coming, Firekeeper’s Daughter, Beartown, The Bell Jar, Wild Dark Shore, and Fourth Wing), then took a deep dive into the Goodreads trenches seaching each rating from 1 to 5 and found the best, funniest, and most unhinged reviews we could find.
From glowing praise to brutal honesty, this episode proves one thing: the same book can be someone’s life-changing favourite… and someone else’s absolute nightmare.
Listen for laughs, hot takes, and the reminder that ratings are subjective and readers are passionate.

In this episode of Book Club Babes, we’re catching up on why we’ve been MIA, sharing the books we’ve been reading so far this year, and introducing our February pick: We Are All Guilty Here by Karin Slaughter.
Instead of weekly deep dives, we’ll be saving our full spoiler-filled discussion for the final episode of the month. That means low-pressure reading, flexible pacing, and lots of room for conversation along the way. We’ll also cover some background on the book and author to set the stage.

We’ve officially finished Sisters in the Wind by Angeline Boulley, and wow… what a ride! ✨

Now we can’t wait to chat with Angeline again – this time with the full story in our hearts (and a million questions in our notes). Have you finished reading yet? Drop your jaw-drop moments in the Facebook group! Let's get into it!
