Schools have been among the most visible social victims of the pandemic, with their closures making national news and affecting almost every family on some level. In this episode of Brave, we speak to a School Principal, Candi Dempster from Ryan Catholic College in Townsville, about the processes of supporting students and young people through unprecedented times. Candi is only a recent arrival from Charters Towers, however, so we also talk about some of the differences in life, support services, and resourcing between cities and regional areas.

Kareau McKey exudes energy and confidence, and she manages a fitness program for new mothers in the form of KangaTraining Townsville. Melanie Grant knows well the challenges facing remote communities. As the owner of the Winton Newsagency, she's battled to keep news flowing to her community, while also diversifying to keep the business afloat.
