This week on the podcast Drew sits down with Derek Dombeck. Derek is a successful investor who has surfed the ups and downs of the market since 2003. Derekâs expertise ranges from creative deal structuring, wholesaling, flipping, and land lording, to lending and investing throughout the years. He has been involved in thousands of transactions in his career; and what sets him apart is his love for people and their success.
Derek has an uncanny gift for problem solving and negotiating; and he enjoys using his gifts and knowledge to help people out, sometimes when they have nowhere else to turn. He puts together creative solutions for sellers that few other investors can, and with his teamâs support, they always deliver.
Derek co-owns a private lending company called Best REI Funding, a real estate acquisition company and hosts three national mastermind groups called REI Circle of Trust. They also run an annual advanced strategies and networking event for real estate investors called Generations of Wealth Voyage (gowvoyage.com). Derek is dedicated to giving back to his community. He founded and ran the âCentral Wisconsin Real Estate Investors Association and later merged with WiscoREIA, based out of Wausau Wisconsin. There he coaches and teaches other real estate investors his keys to success.
Derek has been married for 20 years, and he jokes that he âmarried up.â He and his wife have a unique family, with three children from different backgrounds. They avidly help other couples who are struggling through the conception/adoption process. Derekâs family loves to travel and experience new things. An adrenaline junkie at heart who grew up racing stock cars and skydiving now enjoys hunting, fishing and camping...and watching the bucking bulls they own at rodeos.

This week on the Podcast, Drew sits down with C.C. Garland who is a full-time wholesaler in Burlington, NC, which is about an hour and a half outside of Charlotte. He started wholesaling in 2015, shortly after transitioning from a 3-year stint in the Army! C.C. has closed over 250 transactions since starting.
Since 2018, he has been actively focused on helping investors with getting their wholesaling businesses off the ground - primarily through building a team of virtual assistants to handle marketing, dispositions, and transaction coordination.
As well, he has been a recurring cast member on A&Es 50/50 Flip, which is an 8-part series where they aimed to flip houses for $50,000 profit in under 50 days, and the first episode aired in February 2022.

This week on the Business of Wholesaling Podcast, Drew sits down with Nathan Payne. Nathan grew up in Atlanta, Georgia but currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. At 19 years old, Nathan went on a church mission for 2 years in Portland Oregon where he strived to serve others. After his mission, he went to college at BYUI where he discovered his love for entrepreneurship. In college, Nathan started doing door to door sales and soon became one of the top salesmen in the company. He ran multiple sales teams over the years and generated thousands of accounts for the company. His senior year of college, Nathan followed one of his dreams and opened up a music venue and cereal bar in town called Skizzy's. It was a dream of Nathanâs to create a place where people could come to hang out and eat a bowl of cereal.
After graduating from college, Nathan worked in door to door sales until he decided to get into real estate. With no prior experience in real estate, Nathan decided to learn by taking massive imperfect action and by failing his way forward. 5 years now, he is the co-owner of Offer On Homes, his real estate investing company, and Investor Thrive, a coaching company dedicated to helping wholesalers and real estate investors acquire more real estate the painless way!
