⭕THE LIMITLESS SERIES ⭕: Neurodivergent burnout is a byproduct of too much masculine hustle and trying to solve it with a masculine structured approach is like trying to put a fire out with more fire.
🔥What puts out fire? 💧Water.
🔥What reverses burnout? 💧A body first approach- feeling safe in yourself & community.
In this episode, I share how to find the balance between the strategies and knowledge, and actually embodying and utilising those strategies, through the body and nervous system.
Finding the unique balance for you, rewires the old beliefs keeping you stuck in the same cycles so you can actually have the energy to travel, to feel passionate about your work, to feel at ease, confident and in control of your life!
✨ What would change if you stopped collecting strategies and started trusting your body?

⭕THE LIMITLESS SERIES⭕: “You’re too much” is what you might have believed from such a young age, being sensitive and neurodivergent and internalising the many negative messages you heard as a child.
So often, that beautiful sensitivity turns into burn out as an adult, pushing through life on adrenaline and wasting your potential.

When you have ADHD, it impacts so many different areas of your life, and that can also include your relationship with food, what you eat and what causes you to eat those foods. Today’s episode is a fascinating discussion with the leading expert in ADHD nutrition research, Annika Angelo, also known as Nutrimind Coach. Annika shares about the three styles of eating we tend to see in people with ADHD, and how you can try to make accommodations for the way ADHD impacts what and how you eat.

Being your authentic self and reconnecting with your body can be especially difficult for neurodivergent people. Whether it’s being able to manage when the dopamine runs out, or constantly following the belief of “I’ll be happy when…”, there’s a lot more that we need to consider. This episode dives into practices like yoga, meditation, breathwork and somatic movement with yoga teacher and somatic coach Oliver Phoenix, who explains how to find what will work for you and why self-acceptance is so important.

Discovering you have ADHD later in life can totally alter your perspective on yourself and everything you’ve been through in the past, and it can be really difficult feeling like you’re different to everyone else. I met today’s guest, intuition-led business owner and coach Meredith Cairns-Palmer at a local ADHD networking group and I knew we would have an inspiring conversation about what it feels like to finally feel like you’ve been accepted for who you are after finding other people like you. We also talk about how we can begin to reconnect to ourselves even in a disconnecting society and the beauty of what we gain when we do.

Learning to regulate your nervous system will have a big impact on anyone’s life – but it will be particularly huge for those of us with ADHD. In today’s episode, I’m discussing why ADHD can be much harder to handle when we’re dysregulated, how dysregulation can manifest itself and ideas you can use to start to become more regulated. I’m also inviting you to an opportunity to unmask, to be your true self so that you can live a joyful, aligned life.

It’s very hard to make decisions about your health without the data – and that’s one of the things that today’s guest, nutritional therapist Jeni Crane, is led by. After being diagnosed with PCOS, determined to understand the “why” behind it and how she could help herself, Jeni discovered that nutrition and exercise were huge pieces of the puzzle. She then followed the path to becoming a fully qualified nutritional therapist and our conversation today covers topics like female hormones, why so many women struggle with chronic illnesses and how she used nutrition to support her PCOS, too.

Most people have heard of burnout – physical and emotional exhaustion due to prolonged stress – but have you heard of neurodivergent burnout? People with ADHD, autism and other neurodivergencies can experience this when they have been masking for too long with too little support. A lot of people think that because they had food on the table growing up, they didn’t live in a war zone or have any major negative experiences, they don’t have trauma. However, it’s not just the big things that can cause trauma and a lot of it can actually stem from conditioning that occurred during childhood and the lack of certain needs being met, too. Diving into this topic and others like somatics, living authentically and toxic relationships is my guest Cara Hooper, a Leadership, Life and Trauma Coach who is a mum, a CPTSD survivor and has a vocational drive to facilitate the release from trauma using somatic EMDR and coaching.

I get asked a lot of questions on social media about managing setbacks, keeping hopeful, and balancing work and money when having a chronic illness. Today I'm answering them! This is my first shorter episode, and I'm hoping that including these into the podcast will help to give you something to listen to when you have low energy or a bit of a shorter concentration span.
