Rachel Brown is the weekend morning co-anchor and a general assignment reporter for ABC7 Eyewitness News. She joined the station in June of 2019 and is thrilled to become a member of the Los Angeles' #1 news team.
Rachel is a native of Chicago's South Side. She received a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Illinois. From there she went on to pursue a master's degree in communication management, and graduated from Northwestern University one year later.
She landed her first reporting job not far from home in South Bend, Indiana. There, she received her first Emmy nomination for her reporting during a winter storm.
On the search for warmer weather, Rachel's next job took her south to Charlotte, North Carolina. She joined NBC Charlotte and served as a weekday evening anchor and nightside reporter for three years.
Outside of the newsroom Rachel is passionate about kids. During her time in Charlotte she volunteered weekly at Levine Children's Hospital. In addition to his love for cats and dogs, Evanâs passions lie in exotic animal medicine and interacting with exotic animals in their native habitats around the world. Angela Martini was born in Shkoder, Albania during a time of political instability as communism started to dissolve in the region. Her early childhood was plagued by kidnapping attempts, neighborhood violence, and at one point, a short stay in a refugee camp. Concerned for her safety, Angela's mother sent her to Switzerland to live with her father at the age of ten. After leaving Albania, she would go on to live a lonely childhood, often feeling neglected and isolated from the outside world. During these years, Angela dreamed of building a better life--a dream that often seemed impossibly out of reach. At the age of 21, in hopes of pursuing a professional modeling career, Angela boarded a one-way flight to Miami. The very next day, she was signed by Front Management Agency in Miami, and only 3 months later, by Elite Model Management New York--one of the world's premier modeling agencies. She quickly started booking campaigns with retail giants such as JCPenney and Macy's. In 2010, Angela was crowned Miss Universe Albania. A few weeks later, without a hairstylist or makeup artist, she placed sixth in the Miss Universe pageant, the highest finish for any Miss Albania in history. This platform catapulted her to celebrity status throughout Europe and allowed her to cement a successful modeling career. To date, she has been featured in GQ, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Maxim, and Esquire, to name a few. Throughout the years, Angela has had various business ventures, including the building of a successful swimwear line that was featured in major events such as Miami Fashion Week. Jennifer Lahmers is co-host of the syndicated entertainment show Extra and is an Emmy-nominated journalist based in Los Angeles. Prior to joining Extra, Jennifer was one of the main morning anchors on FOX 5's Good Day Wake Up in New York City.
An Ohio native, Jennifer grew up always wanting to work in news and television thanks to a love for creative writing. She talks about getting her on-camera start in Jackson, Tennessee, where a boss ended up making a big impact on her career by demoting - yes demoting her, and teaching her you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Maggie was on the fire line in Australia during the heat of some of the worst wildfires in the countryâs history, and also on the ground during Franceâs historic country wide strikes and riots. In the Galapagos she reported on tourismâs environmental impact and in Chileâs Atacama Desert she showed us the worldâs largest array of telescopes.
While closely covering the royals, Maggie has been front and center on multiple royal tours. She visited South Africa and Angola with Prince Harry and Megan as well as traveled with Prince William and Kate to Pakistan. She was even there the day Harry and Megan said âI Do.â
Prior to joining the London bureau, Maggie was based in New York, where she covered the aftermath of Hurricane Michael, the Parkland shooting and the California wildfires. Before that Maggie covered the 2016 presidential debates and President Trumpâs inauguration while also reporting from the Supreme Court, Congress and the White House.
Prior to ABC News, Maggie was a Channel One News reporter and covered the dramatic aftermath of the Paris terrorist attacks, the Iran nuclear deal negotiations and Cubaâs renewed diplomatic relations with the United States. Closer to home she has interviewed first lady Michelle Obama, taken an in-depth look at youth homelessness in America, and reported on the state of nuclear weapons in the U.S.

Michael is doggedly curious about the lives of others, and is passionate about reaching new audiences craving deeply-reported, long-form storytelling captured with cinematic style. Since joining ABC10, he has brought his viewers on journeys to places like Afghanistan, the US/Mexico border, Puerto Rico, and into Californiaâs deadliest wildfires, telling the stories of those threatened by war, natural disaster, political repression, and gang violence. His ability to produce, report on-camera, shoot cinema-quality visuals, write, and edit his documentaries have allowed him to work using a small footprint and gain exclusive access to subjects who may have otherwise turned away bigger crews.
In 2019, Michael won four Emmy Awards, including outstanding achievement in the documentary category for his film, âAfghanistan: What is Winning?â, which he solely produced, filmed, and edited. The documentary examined how, after 17 years of war, President Donald Trumpâs South Asia strategy was playing out on the ground, the impact the war has had on both Afghan civilians and Americans back home, and the future of U.S. involvement in the country.
In 2018, he won three Emmys, including outstanding achievement in video journalism; as directory of photography for the documentary âPuerto Rico Risesâ; and as a reporter in the ABC10 special âEmbedded: Northern California Wildfiresâ. âPuerto Rico Risesâ also won the Walter Cronkite Award for Enterprise storytelling. Michael was also part of a team of four reporters awarded a Regional Edward R. Murrow for their coverage of Californiaâs wildfires in 2017.
Before joining ABC10, Michael worked as a multimedia breaking news reporter for The Indianapolis Star from 2013-2016. Using innovative digital reporting techniques, he elevated the paper to the number one source of breaking crime news in the city. To accompany many of his stories, he produced breaking news videos and short documentaries for the paper's digital audience, one of which screened at the Indiana Black Expo Film Festival in 2016. He also used his role as a breaking news reporter to launch several long-form projects, including an examination of the police departmentâs crisis intervention team, the stateâs response to the Syrian refugee crisis, and an investigation into the treatment of female prisoners suffering from mental health issues.
Michael has also frequently produced, shot, and edited video packages for AJ+, Al Jazeeraâs digital news vertical.

Ashley Brewer is the weekend sports anchor and reporter at ABC7 Eyewitness News in Los Angeles. She also co-hosted 'The Bachelor: Winter Games' alongside Chris Harrison.
Ashley attended the University of Southern California, where she was a member of the varsity women's swimming team. She also competed in the 2012 Olympic Trials, where she swam the 100-meter backstroke. Ashley also worked as an intern in the ABC7 sports department in the spring of 2014.
After graduating from USC, Ashley became a college football sideline reporter for Cox 7 Arizona. She then became the weekend sports anchor at KGUN-9, the ABC affiliate in Tucson, Arizona. In her two years at KGUN, Ashley covered all professional and college sports, as well as Super Bowl XLIX and the 2016 College Football National Championship game.
She attributes her love of sports to growing up in a family of five Division-I athletes. Her oldest brother, Charles, is a right-handed pitcher for the Diamondbacks. Her brother Chase played baseball at UCLA, and her younger brother Connor is a quarterback at the University of Virginia. Her younger sister, Abby, played sand volleyball at USC. Ashley's mother, Deborah Pyburn Brewer, was a news anchor for the CBS station in Phoenix for almost 10 years.

Whit Johnson is currently a co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend and an ABC News correspondent based in New York. His reports can be seen across multiple ABC broadcasts including Good Morning America, World News Tonight, 20/20, and Nightline.
Since joining ABC News, he has reported on and field anchored coverage of the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting in October 2018 that left 11 people dead. He also covered the groundbreaking arrest of the suspected "Golden State Killer", the pivotal 2018 midterm elections, the historic volcano eruption on Hawaii's Big Island, and the case of Mollie Tibbets, the University of Iowa student who mysteriously vanished and was later found murdered.
Whit was previously a morning anchor for "Today in LA" on KNBC-TV, which won the Golden Mike award for "Best Daytime News Broadcast" in 2017. In 2013, he earned a Los Angeles Emmy for a multi-part investigation into reported scams at auto-repair shops.
During his time at KNBC, Whit reported on two Olympics including the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia and the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He co-hosted the stationâs Emmy winning special report of the Opening Ceremony in Rio.
He also reported on the 2015 San Bernardino terrorist attack, the 2013 shooting at LAX and the standoff between killer Christopher Dorner and the LAPD â anchoring live coverage for nine straight hours.
Before joining KNBC, he was a Washington-based CBS News correspondent and fill-in anchor reporting on national news, the White House and Capitol Hill. During his time at the network, he covered then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on several stops across the Middle East and interviewed her minutes after news broke that Muammar Gaddafi had been killed.
Whit was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and is a graduate from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in television and radio broadcasting.

Seth Moulton is a father, husband, Iraq War Veteran, and a Congressman running for President of the United States in 2020. He now serves the 6th District of Massachusetts, with an office just ten minutes from where he grew up, but he first began serving our country when he was 22.
It was the minister at his college church at Harvard who inspired Seth to serve. âItâs not enough to just support those who serve,â Rev Peter Gomes said, âYou have to go out and do something yourself.â That advice resonated with Seth, and he decided to join the Marines.
9/11 happened a few months after his graduation, and little more than a year later, Seth was an infantry platoon commander in the first company of Marines to enter Baghdad in 2003. Despite his disagreements with the war, he insisted on returning for a total of four combat deployments so nobody would have to go in his place.
Seth went to business school on the GI Bill and worked in the private sector in Texas building the countryâs first high-speed railway, but missed the sense of purpose he had in the Marines. Serving in Iraq with some of the best Americans he has ever metâwhile feeling let down and left behind by the politicians in Washington who sent them thereâinspired Seth to run for Congress in 2014. He took on a nine-term incumbent backed by the party establishment, calling for a new generation of leadership in Congress, and overcame a 54-point deficit to win. Heâs been keeping the promises of that campaign ever since.
In just three short terms in Congress, Seth has worked tirelessly to guarantee good-paying jobs for hard-working peopleâhelping revitalize the biggest city in his district, the old factory city of Lynn, by organizing state and local leaders of all backgrounds. Heâs become a leading voice on foreign policy and national security, serving on the Armed Services Committee and holding the Pentagon accountable while introducing bills to transform our national defense and combat foreign influence in Americaâs elections. And determined to lead by example, he held more town hall meetings in the 114th Congress than any other Democrat in the House or Senateâmaking sure that the voices of his constituents would be heard in Washington. Heâs also fought for veterans health care while upholding his promise to continue getting his own care at the VA.
After the election in 2016, Seth recognized that America needs leaders who have faced challenges more difficult than losing an election or standing up to President Trump. So he used his organization, Serve America, to help change Washington by electing more service-driven leaders to Congress. Seth and his team mentored the candidates, raised millions of dollars for them, and campaigned alongside them in tough, Republican-held districts across the country. On election night, that hard work paid off: twenty-one of Serve Americaâs candidates won, accounting for half of all Democratic pickups in the House and flipping districts that voted overwhelmingly for Trump in 2016.

Among David's most notable assignments: his coverage of Puerto Rico's protests for governor Riccardo RosellĂł to resign and Hurricane Maria when it hit the island in October 2017. He spent more time covering Puerto Rico's recovery than any other network news correspondent, traveling to the island countless times, and breaking numerous significant stories. His distinctive, unmatched reporting resulted in government action, and throughout the crisis, he delivered sustained coverage on all platforms -- especially on social media. His coverage of Hurricane Maria earned him the prestigious George Polk award for public service in 2018. The award, as the nominating committee states, places "a premium on investigative work that is original, resourceful, and thought provoking." David also received Radio Television Digital News Association's First Amendment Leadership Award his for significant contribution to the protection of the First Amendment and freedom of the press.
At CBS News, David has covered major news stories around the world including the shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida, the terrorist attack at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California, and the devastating earthquake that hit Ecuador in April of 2016 leaving hundreds dead and thousands injured. In the summer of 2017, he covered Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Hurricane Irma in Florida, and Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. David's coverage of important national and international stories is also featured prominently on CBSN, CBS News' 24/7 streaming news service.
Prior to CBS, David covered a wide variety of national breaking news from weather to crime for several news organizations. Previously, he created and reported for "Newsbreaker" at ORA-TV, a social media platform for current events and breaking news and was a contributing correspondent for "Entertainment Tonight," the No. 1 syndicated entertainment newsmagazine in the world.
His career began in local news at KLFY-TV as an unpaid "teen reporter" while in high school, in his home state of Louisiana. Upon graduation, KLFY-TV hired him as a full-time reporter. He later became the weekend morning and evening news anchor. During the week he attended college, and graduated from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette in 2005.
