My guests this week are Rachel and Daniel from the grunge metal band from Brisbane, Flamboyant Nightmare. We have a fantastic conversation as we get to know each other and they each share their creative journeys with me. Their influences vary from Tim Minchin to Evanescence, they have so many fun stories, including walking up Mount Coo-Tha at 3am, which then inspired them to write a song. They tell me about starting Flamboyant Nightmare and their love of dressing up and giving the audience the best show possible, and they tell me about Burn the Bridge their most recent single and how they went into creating it. This week we’re heading back overseas, all the way to the north of Italy! And joining me for this special episode is Daniel Fleba from the symphonic metal band Marble. He takes me back to the bands beginnings, as well as his beginnings, watching his dad perform on stage from an early age, to beginning is music journey, through lessons and university, to creating Marble and releasing 3 albums. Their most recent one, T.I.M.E is an incredible journey that delves into the passing of time throughout theatre. He takes us through the process of creating the album, as well as the video for Time Is My Essence, and gives his insights into the bands use of acronyms in their album titles. This week we’re back in Adelaide, SA and my guest is someone who I’ve known in the music scene for over 9 years, its Samuel Perry. We have a great chat about his beginnings, growing up in Kadina and playing in bands and pubs whilst still in school. Moving to Adelaide and sinking his teeth into the live scene, we reminise with some of our previous bands, and then we tranisition into the present day, where he shares all his current musical projects and he fills me in about his current band Late Night Lies. Today we’re back in Australia, and we’re heading to Melbourne to talk to someone who is making their mark on the scene, it Terra Rouge! We have a great conversation and she tells me about her tour that she conducted recently for her latest album So Fucking Over It, travelling and playing across several states in Australia. Including Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane. I’ve just returned from a month in the United Kingdom and Ireland. I had such an incredible time, and whilst I was there, I was able to converse with 3 fantastic musicians, so over the next 3 weeks, I’ll be bringing you our conversations, starting with singer songwriter from Essex, Roisin O’Hagan. She tells me about her ventures as a musician starting from a young age, to performing and playing gigs at the age of 14. Writing and releasing her own original music, as well as travelling over to the US, to Nashville to record her 2022 EP “Dreamstate”. We also talk about her newest single, What I’m Made For which was Recorded at Abbey Road, and she shares with me some of her favourite things about London.

My guest today is Ella Belfanti from the 8 person group TYDE, based in Brisbane, Australia. They’ve just released a new single titled Latte Party, an incredibly fun and hip tune that has you moving from the first bass line. Ella tells me about the song and how it features the classic lines about current generations spending their money on lattes and avocados, and they take it in an in your face, but very fun direction.
