Leigh chats Onoleigh about her most recent single release of her song, "OK Later", and they chatted about her future EP release as well as her Christmas release!
About Onoleigh:Onoleigh knows what she wants to say. The 26-year-old Mahomet, IL, native has spent the past few years in Nashville honing her sound and mastering her craft, but her story had begun years before. As early as 16, Onoleigh began making frequent trips to Music City, where she was quickly accepted into the Broadway circuit. She cut her teeth playing cover songs for tourists, and learned to keep their attention with her powerful stage presence and stunning vocals. Hailing from a small town just 50 miles east of Nashville, Ty Gregory has been sowing his musical roots deep in the Bible Belt since he was just a teenager.
As a young boy, Ty would sit in front of his grandmothers wooden console tv for hours at a time watching 90’s country music videos on CMT. Captivated by the look and sound of artists such as Tracy Lawrence, Joe Diffie and Travis Tritt, Ty knew at a young age that whatever these guys had, he also wanted. Her love of music was so strong that her parents decided she should take piano lessons. Years later, her teacher loaned her a guitar, and Sarahbeth became a multi-instrumentalist over the course of a weekend.
For her 14th birthday, Sarahbeth begged her parents for a trip to Music City to attend an NSAI songwriter's workshop. Her parents, recognizing her talent and dedication, agreed. That workshop led to her first publishing deal with Green Hills Music Group. After signing her pub deal, she then enrolled in online high school to be able to make the journey back and forth to Nashville to write.
Sarahbeth went on to sign her second publishing deal with Hall of Fame Songwriter Kye Fleming and SESAC Writer of the Year Catt Gravitt, who helped her begin developing her artistry. At just 17 years old, Sarahbeth drove her blue Chevy Silverado truck from Colorado to Nashville to fully pursue her dream.
Sarahbeth now embraces her new role as a wife, and young mother – often writing about her experiences in her music and carving out her own unique path within the industry. She’s always had a heart for children, and giving back to kids is a significant part of her platform as an artist. He developed his ear and began producing at age 12, which led to songwriting and becoming a performing artist. He has become accomplished on virtually every piece of equipment and tool used in modern production.His diverse talent and ear has allowed him the opportunity to produce and write for/with many well-known hip hop, pop, and country artists, including studio sessions with platinum selling rock band, Crossfade. In addition to producing music, Ryan also co-produced and starred in a full length, award-winning short film/music video, which debuted to a packed out theatre in Charlotte, NC.Most recently, Ryan has been working with one of Nashville's favorite producers, Jake Parshall, who used to tour at the guitarist for Cody Johnson.When Covid-19 slowed down live shows in the industry, Ryan stayed active writing and recording all new material. His first single, “Thank You For Breaking My Heart”, which a feel-good, positive spin on the pain of breaking up, caught the ear of one of Nashville's top radio promoters, Jerry Duncan. Jerry and his team have promoted over 82 #1 hits on radio, including artists Jason Aldean (Hicktown), Morgan Wallen (Up Down, Whiskey Glasses), Florida Georgia Line (Cruise), along with many others. Pappas’ journey brought her to Nashville’s own Belmont University in 2020 to study songwriting.As a writer, she has a unique and defining sound, inspired by storytellers like Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift. Her songs challenge the pop country landscape by merging infectious melodies, compelling stories, and clever metaphors. These elements can be heard on the carefree summer love tune ‘Every Mile’ (January 2024) and breakup bop ‘Space’ (February 2023). Pappas’ writing also led her to receive her first outside cut with country artist Abbie Callahan's 'Redneck Lingerie' in November 2023.Aside from her original music, Pappas has built up an impressive resume performing The National Anthem at 100+ sporting events since 2017.
