Have you ever been turned down or rejected by a person or employer solely based on your past? Maybe youâve been judged because of your family lineage. Too many times people will judge others on the family they were born into, or even where they grew up. Itâs up to you to not let that discourage you. As Pastor Mark explains in todayâs message, God can and will use anyone regardless of their background. Many times God uses the people you would least expect to do the biggest things. The only thing you really need to be used by God is a willingness to follow Him and act according to His calling.

When things get tough in your life, where do you go? Do you go off to a place alone, or do you have a friend you can turn to? Too many people donât think they have anyone to turn to and they lean on substances or bad habits which, ultimately, only make things worse. You have to be careful who or what you turn to in dark times. In todayâs message, Pastor Mark explains how the first person or place you run to is your stronghold or place of security in your life. It is ok to seek counsel from people, but God wants you to turn to Him in your real times of need. Anything else can only offer a false sense of security, only God provides real guidance.

Have you ever known someone who was part of a group, maybe you worked with them, and they refused to follow rules or guidelines? The only thing that would have done is make the work harder or bring about more problems than you would have already faced. Have you ever been that person who wouldnât follow rules? In todayâs message, Pastor Mark explains that if you choose to not follow God, or choose to walk away from Him, God will cause you to have problems. Following God will bring about trouble and problems, but not following God will cause additional problems that you wouldnât otherwise have to face.

For many people that can be a very difficult and scary time, some even give up and never learn to move forward on their own. You have to be sure you arenât lying, or just saying something the other person wants to hear. You must genuinely believe what you are saying or it will not work and may make things worse.

Have you ever been invited to participate in a project, and you knew you werenât needed? In most of those cases, you probably declined to be a part. But what if the project had a massive positive impact on your community? Would that make you more likely to agree to help, or would it not matter? Obviously, He doesnât need you to complete His plan, but He is inviting you to be a part of something greater, to make a huge positive impact on the world around you⊠what will your answer be to His call?

Odds are you were asked to do the scary thing so the other person could walk away. Too many times people in authority ask others to do things they themselves arenât willing to do. There is more than likely someone you look up to or want to be like in some way, thatâs the person you are following. The best thing you can do is admit it to yourself. You may become jealous of the talents or financial standing of another person. You may even try to do what they are doing even though you know you donât have the required talent or finances. Today Pastor Mark urges you to find contentment in the talents and gifts that God has given you, and not try to do or be something you see someone else doing or being. If you arenât careful you may fall into jealousy and envy of the talents of others and forget all that God has given you and not others.

Most likely if you showed up unannounced you may find a different scene. Living life is messy and the only way to avoid that is to hide away from it all. As Pastor Mark will challenge us in todayâs message, weâre called into action as believers. Weâve been given an incredible gift, and with it, a mission to share that gift with the world around us. We need to step out boldly into this messy world and get to work.

What a loving and generous God we have! In our sinful rebellion, all we deserved was death and separation from His perfect righteousness. Yet He not only offers us forgiveness and salvation from eternal punishment, but He also offers us life and intimacy with Him in His perfect, eternal Kingdom. As Pastor Mark will illustrate in todayâs message, God looks at us through the eyes of a Father. Weâre not just little ants busying ourselves about this small world. He exists all around us and in us and is intimately aware of our heartaches and dreams and He blesses us with peace and joy this world can never provide.

Our God is a God of peace and justice. As humans, Heâs endowed us with a strong desire for these things in our own lives and the world as a whole. Yet, as we read the Bible, it seems that God is also a God of war. How do these characteristics exist together? War is a byproduct of the sin of man. It wasnât a part of the perfect design God had for Earth. Pastor Mark will expound on this in todayâs message, but God wonât just sit by while people abuse and oppress others. He has an unfathomable amount of patience and grace, so He doesnât work on the timeline weâd expect, but He will bring justice.
