This week on Cousin Closet, Maddy and Emily are channeling Limited Too and feeling like the baddies their younger selves always hoped to be. Per usual, the order is found within the chaos as Emily navigates lutealing and Maddy is on day one of her period.
Together, they unpack a myriad of laundry list items that include seasonal allergies, cracked heels, the sensory nightmare of lotion, and a malapropism that Emily hopes to never fall victim to in her practice.
The girls talk about what they’re manifesting under the new moon and the goals they have for their individual selves and careers, and of course, their hopes and dreams for the pod.

Welcome back to another week in the Cousin Closet!
Maddy and Emily are ADHD-ing all over the place, as per usual, and unpacking a variety of topics: gay dentistry, Taylor Swift's wedding, and the Venn diagram where aesthetic patriotism and pride meet in an unexpected way.
Love you!!!

This week, the closet welcomes its first-ever guest to the pod! While Maddy is out of town, Emily sits down with Rachel Ratelle, founder of Rays Your Vibe—a nonprofit advocating for endometriosis and women’s health awareness. Rachel shares her own journey with chronic illness and the process of uncovering the conditions that have plagued her throughout her life. The girls have an unfiltered conversation about the ins and outs of endo surgery, the diagnostic maze that no one warns you about, sex ed failures, the gender gap in body literacy, and the difference between boundaries and manipulation when it comes to dating. If you bleed, this one's for you. ♡

Welcome back to the closet! Oh, and also back out of it?
After a few weeks' hiatus and much-needed reset, the girls are back on their bullshit. They recap the past few weeks and reflect on the first six months of the year.
Emily continues the dating saga and gives an update on the emotional and physical effects she’s experienced since that began, and Maddy opens up about unpacking her sexuality and learning to trust and free herself.
They talk abundance, mushrooms, life path numbers, and more in one of their deepest conversations yet.
Enjoy. ❤︎ and HAPPY PRIDE!

And just like that, we’re back in the closet. This week, Maddy tackles her second solo episode and realizes how underutilized lace is in her closet. She takes on Emily’s challenge to “stream of consciousness this shit”, which, of course, wanders through various thoughts and tangents.
She gets into her various dreams, fear of not being taken seriously, the tendency to hold on to and ritualize things way past the breaking point, and reflects on the first time she can remember really being in her body and trusting her own intuition.
In the end, she recalls the paradigm shift the Blue Morpho butterfly has provided her, and recaps last week’s shocking run-in with someone from her past.
Get dressed and meet Maddy in the closet for a short and sweet episode with lots of self-reflection.
OH, and in the name of Taylor Swift, Amen.

It’s Friday, and Maddy and Emily are reaching into the closet for something… mystical? Both annoyed at Emily for picking this theme, they show up and turn out in their best interpretations anyway, and discuss the important distinction between capes and cloaks.
Emily gets into her most recent qualms with dating, including deceptively hot Christians and men’s poorly curated dating profiles. She fills us in on her worst date yet and warns about the dangers of unsnapping your body suit too close to your date. Maddy talks astrology and Taruses specifically, her most recent run-in with her Dad reincarnated, and oh yeah, baby school.
One year post-divorce, Emily updates the cousins on how she’s doing and reflects on the ups and downs of the past year, and how her thoughts on marriage and relationships have changed throughout.
Enjoy!

Welcome back to another week in the Cousin Closet!
Emily and Maddy are finally reunited after two weeks apart, and there is much to catch up on. It's an undressed week, so get ready for them to pull more niche life lessons from one another's deepest depths.
The laundry list is listing. Emily updates the cousins on her sexscapades and the presentation Maddy made to keep track of her suitors, how her stance on PDA has changed...again, somebody call 911–there’s a nipple situation on the dance floor, and the tragic hot tub downfall of “The Doctor”.
They talk about their tendency to over-intellectualize in therapy and doing their therapist’s job for them, psychoanalyzing their hereditary wrinkles, the philosophy of doing more drugs as legitimate life advice, and how much Maddy embodies a certain villain who–once you see it–you can’t unsee.
Good luck, and love you!

Welcome back to another week in the closet. <3
Emily is popping in–fashionably late, the full moon has been full mooning, and we are overwhelmed–for her first solo episode while Maddy is... definitely not in Montana. She's taking us through the ins and outs of bodywork and introducing us to her favorite modality: Craniosacral Therapy.
Of course, she first goes through her laundry list and gives an update on her San Diego dating life, including her current stance on PDA. All while sparkling in a sequin mini skirt layered over white granny panties.
Get into your body and get ready to journey all the way from your head to your sacrum.

Welcome back to another week of Cousin Closet chaos! Maddy is taking on the show's first solo episode to give us part two of unpacking her Mormon mission. If you haven’t listened to part one of this episode, “My Mormon Mission”, go back and listen! Or listen after? Whatever order you want, angels!
Buckle up for a range of stories, feelings, thoughts, and catastrophes as she sheds more light on what sticks out to her from her experiences as a Mormon missionary ten years ago. She talks about finding her inner voice, toxic positivity, “exact obedience”, accidentally getting horny when you shouldn’t be, and much more.
Amen.

Hi cousins, and welcome to church! This week, Sister Thompson and la Hermana Gozo are dressed for duality, and we are diving deep into something we've never unpacked before: Maddy's Mormon mission.
We cover the full context — Mormonism 101, what a mission actually is, how it works, who goes, who pays for it (you do, lol), worthiness, rule books that read like a pharmaceutical ads, and why Maddy ended up in the one place she didn’t want to go instead of the bottom of Patagonia.
This is only the beginning; next week, she’s going to get into the ins and outs, going solo for the first time. For now, here is part one.
Love you, Elders and sisters — adios!

Hi cousins! This week, the theme is transformation — and we mean that in every sense of the word.
We kick things off with Emily's dating update (candidate number two and his shirt-off confidence. We are rooting for her). Maddy debuts a handmade top she's been saving for years, and Emily transforms from six-months-pregnant-looking to snatched, courtesy of a coffee enema. You're welcome.
Then we get into the main event: the mushroom trip. Back in November, Emily did psilocybin for the first time with Maddy, and learned shrooms are definitely not marijuana's cousin. They unpack the whole thing — purging, visuals, transformation, seeing the devil, etc., and what all of it had to say about sexuality, control, family wounds, and healing. They also talk about Maddy's Saturday trip and meeting a Lebanese artist at a garage sale who was basically sent from the universe. We can't explain it. Just listen.
Next week's theme: duality. See you there. Enjoy!!

Hi cousins! We’re back and coming in HOT with a breakdown of—you guessed it—the Enneagram. Also, we are officially on Apple Podcasts… but did just find out it might be in Dutch?? We have questions.
We jump in with outfit breakdowns inspired by “April showers bring May flowers,” and yes, we talk about our tits yet again. Maddy shares her desire to get her nipple pierced, but she’s concerned about the recovery time—something Emily will never understand as a proud member of the itty bitty titty committee.
As always, it’s a mix of chaos, vulnerability, and the kind of conversations that make you feel like part of our family. Enjoy!!

Hi cousins! Aries season is humping our brains and we are NOT complaining. This week Maddy and Emily are back with a full laundry list of things they've been holding in — and honestly, the girls had to dish.
We're talking: outfit breakdowns (Maddy reclaiming the corset she wore to Emily's Bachelorette party and Emily channeling a sexy version of the iconic red Sleepover dress), the impossible engineering of modern chip bags, why you need to watch Younger RIGHT NOW, and Emily's adventures in decoding the needs of her massage therapy clients.
We also get into Emily's dating era, Maddy's realizations about her own era journey, and the very real grief and joy of coming into yourself in your 30s.
Oh, and Emily has an announcement: she is the happiest she has ever been in her life. And we are BEAMING for her. Enjoy!!
-
Hello cousins!! Welcome to episode 9! We’re kicking things off with a little luck of the Irish (or Scottish?) energy — Emily bringing the pot of gold and Maddy repping a plaid layered look.
We’re back with another real one. This episode, we’re diving into chronic illness. And if anyone’s going to make this content actually funny, it’s us. Real talk, though, this episode comes straight from lived experience, and we hope it reaches anyone who can relate or knows someone who can. Come along for the ride and share with your people!

Welcome to Cousin Closet! This week, the girls are in their Stevie Nicks era. Emily glows in her follicular phase, and Maddy spirals through eternal PMS. They begin by giving some life updates, including Emily’s saga with the DMV and her new venture into the San Diego dating scene.
As always, they unpack coming to terms with their identities and their personal growth, before getting into the heart of the episode: the reality of living life as extremely sensitive neurodivergent adults. Together they walk through some of the pains of AuDHD and the catharsis of accepting who they really are.
-
Welcome back to the closet. This week, Maddy and Emily get right into the facts–they're feeling pretty blue, and not just because this week's outfit theme is Canadian tuxedoes. Em bitches about the realities of period pain made worse by her other health conditions, and Maddy, well, karma gave her shingles.
Together, they unpack what it feels like currently, trying to be okay when everything around them is begging them to crash out: health problems, international affairs, the current US administration, etc. They discuss the possible invention of a new device that could solve menstrual discomfort, shout out their first international listener, and talk about the holiness of female gossip. Enjoy!
-
Hi cousins! This week, Maddy and Emily introduce a new segment: UNDRESSED! The girls surprise each other with questions and cackle as they unpack their answers together and give you a closer look inside their brains.
But before that, they of course go through their laundry list items, including: Mercury going retrograde, Emily's most recent unfortunate incident, Hilary Duff's comeback, their experiences with IKEA bed frames, and somehow, even more?
Oh, and did we mention the theme for their outfits this week is clowns? Yeehaw.
-
This week on the pod, Maddy and Emily get into all things crushes. Starting with Emily’s ventures back into night life and how the girls spent Valentine’s Day. Maddy bursts Emily’s bubble by drawing attention to the holiday’s origin and together they unpack their love day-themed outfits.
They talk about different kinds of crushes and the realization that limerence has taken over their lives. Both girls dive into their own experiences with crushes throughout their lives, and unpack whether or not they actually even liked these people. Enjoy!

Welcome to Cousin Closet! Maddy and Emily jump right in and tackle their laundry lists—Maddy has a bone to pick with Utah coffee shops, and Emily discusses her childhood obsession with The Pacifier and her unspoken love for short, buff men. They unpack their sexy mermaid fits, starting with Maddy’s whimsical Greek-inspired Ariel and Emily’s sequin hot pants.
They waste no time and begin discussing Emily’s breakup—aka her divorce—this past year. She shares the ins and outs of the relationship, along with the takeaways and lessons she believes have shaped who she is today. She opens up about the sensitivity of the topic and why she feels it’s important to talk about it regardless.
Thanks for listening <3

This week on Cousin Closet, Maddy and Emily give the listeners an update on what life has looked like since they recorded episodes one and two. Of course, the girls first talk about their hatred for i.c.e. and the current administration as a whole, and touch on the responsibility that comes with their innate privilege.
They explain why they changed the theme for this week's outfits, what happened to the mermaid episode, and why dressing for their Scorpio Venus signs felt more resonant for this week's topic.
Maddy steps into a more vulnerable space as she sheds light on the recent major changes in her life, home, and relationship. She shares her feelings about the nuance of breakups and her desire to break the taboo that typically comes with acknowledging the endings of romantic relationships. Giddy up!
