The way in which he's found is extremely odd, he was trapped upside down in a rolled up gym mat.
The police and medical examiners office would be very quick to call this just a 'Tragic accident'.

On June 13, 1996, 18-year-old Angie Dodge was found murdered in her Idaho Falls apartment, having been raped and brutally killed.
Christopher Tapp was arrested and convicted for the crime in 1998, based on a confession that many believe was coerced.
Despite Tapp's conviction, DNA evidence from the crime scene did not match him, raising doubts about his guilt.
