Back in the last offseason Jamal Murray mad a 'bet on himself' in that he rejected the Nuggets extension offer because he was hoping to get all star or all NBA. It did not happen and Murray missed 23 games due to various injuries. This added stress to this Nuggets season.

The Denver Nuggets prevailed over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game One to kick off the 2024 NBA Playoffs. Sometimes we forget and we need a reminder of how good the Nuggets are.
There was some hesitation in national media analysis of the Nuggets leading up to the series. No one picked against them but there was some hesitancy you didn't hear earlier in the year. Against the Lakers, particularly from the third quarter on the Nuggets proved how formidable they are and yes Bill Simmons the Nuggets can still close out a team.
