The boys are back after a little break to stop the end of the world with this lovely conversation on 2005's V for Vendetta. Strap in, get your hair cut and enjoy. The Movie:V for Vendetta is a 2006 dystopian political action film directed by James McTeigue and written by the Wachowskis, based on the 1988 DC/Vertigo Comics limited series of the same name by Alan Moore and David Lloyd. Set in an alternative future where a Nordic supremacist and neo-fascist totalitarian regime has subjugated the United Kingdom, the film centers on V (portrayed by Hugo Weaving), an anarchist and masked freedom fighter who attempts to ignite a revolution through elaborate terrorist acts, while Natalie Portman plays Evey, a young, working-class woman caught up in V's mission and Stephen Rea portrays a detective leading a desperate quest to stop V.

The Movie:Closer is a 2004 American romantic drama film written by Patrick Marber, based on his award-winning 1997 play of the same name. The film was produced and directed by Mike Nichols and stars Julia Roberts, Jude Law, Natalie Portman, and Clive Owen. The film, like the play on which it is based, has been seen by some as a modern and tragic version of Mozart's opera Così fan tutte, with references to the opera in both the plot and the soundtrack.

The boys are back in town and with a new season!Season 3 will follow the work of Natalie Portman. Episode 1: Léon: The Professional is a 1994 English-language French action thriller film written and directed by Luc Besson. It stars Jean Reno, Gary Oldman, and Natalie Portman (in her film debut).
The plot follows Léon (Reno), a professional hitman, who reluctantly takes in 12-year-old Mathilda (Portman), after her family is murdered by corrupted Drug Enforcement Administration agent Norman Stansfield (Oldman). Léon and Mathilda form an unusual relationship, as she becomes his protégée and learns the hitman's trade.

After Hurricane Katrina, police sergeant Terence McDonagh rescues a prisoner, hurts his back in the process and earns a promotion to lieutenant plus an addiction to cocaine and painkillers. Ghost Rider is a 2007 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name.
Mephistopheles sends his bounty hunter of the damned, the Ghost Rider, to retrieve the contract of San Venganza for control of a thousand corrupt souls. Seeing that the contract would give Mephistopheles the power to bring hell on Earth, the Rider refuses.
In 1986, Mephistopheles reaches out to 17-year-old stunt motorcycle rider Johnny Blaze, offering to cure his father's cancer in exchange for Blaze's soul. The next morning, Blaze awakes to discover that his father's cancer is cured, but his father dies in a motorcycle stunt. Blaze accuses Mephistopheles of causing his father's death, but Mephistopheles considers their contract to be fulfilled and promises to one day see him again.
Twenty-one years later, Blaze has become a famous stunt motorcycle rider. Blaze meets his lifelong sweetheart Roxanne Simpson, now a news reporter, whom he abandoned after his father's death. He convinces her to attend a dinner date. Meanwhile, Blackheart, the son of Mephistopheles, comes to Earth, along with three fallen angels who bonded with the elements air, earth, and water. They are tasked to find the lost contract of San Venganza. In response, Mephistopheles makes Blaze the new Ghost Rider and offers to return his soul if he defeats Blackheart, though Mephistopheles says he has no choice. Yep, you read all that right.
The film was written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson, and stars Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze / Ghost Rider, with Eva Mendes, Wes Bentley, Sam Elliott, Donal Logue, Matt Long, and Peter Fonda in supporting roles.

The Weather Man is a 2005 American comedy/drama film directed by Gore Verbinski, written by Steve Conrad, and starring Nicolas Cage, Michael Caine (as a Robot) and Hope Davis. It tells the story of a weatherman in the midst of a mid-life crisis.

Lord of War is a 2005 crime drama written, produced, and directed by Andrew Niccol, and co-produced by and starring Nicolas Cage. Cage plays an illegal arms dealer, inspired by the stories of several real-life arms dealers and smugglers. The film was officially endorsed by the human rights group Amnesty International for highlighting the arms trafficking by the international arms industry.

National Treasure is a 2004 American adventure film produced and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is the first film in the National Treasure film series and stars Nicolas Cage, Harvey Keitel, Jon Voight, Diane Kruger, Sean Bean, Justin Bartha and Christopher Plummer.Cage plays Benjamin Franklin Gates, a historian and amateur cryptologist searching for a lost treasure of precious metals, jewelry, artwork and other artifacts that was accumulated into a single massive stockpile by looters and warriors over many millennia starting in Ancient Egypt, later rediscovered by warriors who form themselves into the Knights Templar to protect the treasure, eventually hidden by American Freemasons during the American Revolutionary War. A coded map on the back of the Declaration of Independence points to the location of the "national treasure," but Gates is not alone in his quest. Whoever can steal the Declaration and decode it first will find the greatest treasure in history.

Adaptation. is a 2002 American comedy-drama metafilm directed by Spike Jonze and written by Charlie Kaufman. The film stars Nicolas Cage as Kaufman and his fictional twin brother Donald.The self-loathing Charlie Kaufman is hired to write the screenplay adaptation for Susan Orlean's The Orchid Thief. Kaufman is struggling with anxiety, social phobia, depression, and low self esteem. His twin brother, Donald, has moved into his house and is taking advantage of living rent-free. Donald decides to become a screenwriter like Charlie and attends one of Robert McKee's famous seminars.
It is based both on Susan Orlean's non-fiction book The Orchid Thief and Kaufman's experience attempting to adapt the book into a screenplay while suffering from writer's block. Adaptation also adds a number of fictitious elements, including Kaufman's twin brother (also credited as a writer for the film) and a romance between Orlean and Laroche, and culminates in completely invented events including fictional versions of Orlean and Laroche three years after the events related in The Orchid Thief.Also starring: Meryl Streep as Orlean, and Chris Cooper as John Laroche, with Cara Seymour, Brian Cox, Tilda Swinton, Ron Livingston, and Maggie Gyllenhaal in supporting roles.

In Episode 7 of Season 2, the lads discuss 'Face/Off'. Face/Off is a 1997 American science fiction action film directed by John Woo, and starring John Travolta and Nicolas Cage. Travolta plays an FBI agent and Cage plays a terrorist, sworn enemies who assume each other's physical appearance.In order to foil an extortion plot, an FBI agent (Travolta) undergoes a facial transplant surgery and assumes the identity and physical appearance of a terrorist (Cage), but the plan turns from bad to worse when the same terrorist impersonates the FBI agent. DUN DUN DUN.

For this special episode the lads had the privilege to sit down and talk with Marco Kyris, the man behind the man. Marco worked as a stand in for Nicolas Cage for 10 years from 1994 to 2004 and has worked on films such as: Con Air, Leaving Las Vegas, The Rock, Face/Off, Snake Eyes, 8MM, Gone in 60 Seconds, Adaptation, National Treasure and many more!
Marco Kyris was born Evrimahos Kyriakakis in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Oct 14th, 1961. His parents were both Greek immigrants who met through an arranged marriage in 1958. His father owned and managed a Greek variety store while his mother was a homemaker. Marco Kyris, along with his two siblings, were raised in a non-english speaking home.
At an early age, Marco recognized his disparate social and cultural status through American pop television and culture. Failing in school, he adopted an entertainer's persona and began thinking of a life as an actor.
After his sojourn in Paris during his early 20's, he moved to LA and began studying acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. He landed a few bit parts, but worked primarily in the restaurant industry. He returned to Toronto in the early 90's.
He was waitering and receiving work through an extras agency when he was asked to stand in for actor Nicolas Cage on the film "Trapped in Paradise". Unbeknownst to him, this would land him a long time working relationship with Mr. Cage and help springboard him into the A-lister culture of Hollywood.
Marco worked as Mr. Cage's stand in for 10 years and then began working full-time investing and renovating properties in Toronto. He is now producing a podcast called "Babble, Bullshit, and Beyond", along with other projects.

In Episode 6 of Season 2, the lads discuss 'Con Air'. Con Air is a 1997 American action thriller film directed by Simon West, written by Scott Rosenberg, and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
Honorably discharged Army Ranger Cameron Poe (Nicolas Cage) is given a ten-year prison sentence for involuntary manslaughter after killing a drunken man - one of three who tried to attack him and his pregnant wife Tricia. While in prison, Poe communicates with Tricia and his newborn daughter Casey through letters; eight years later, he is paroled and takes a flight to Alabama on board the Jailbird, a Fairchild C-123 Provider converted into a flying prison transport. While on board Cameron Poe finds himself trapped in a prisoner transport plane when the passengers seize control.

In Episode 5 of Season 2, the lads discuss 'The Rock'. The Rock is a 1996 American action thriller film directed by Michael Bay. The film stars Sean Connery, Nicolas Cage and Ed Harris, with William Forsythe and many many more. In the film, an FBI chemist and a former SAS captain are tasked with stopping a group of rogue US Force Recon Marines who have seized Alcatraz Island, taken hostages, and threatened to launch rockets filled with nerve gas over San Francisco unless they are paid $100 million.

In Episode 4 of Season 2, the lads discuss 'Leaving Las Vegas' a 1995 American romantic tragedy film written and directed by Mike Figgis and based on the semi-autobiographical novel of the same name by John O'Brien. Nicolas Cage stars as a suicidal alcoholic in Los Angeles who, divorced and recently fired, has decided to move to Las Vegas and drink himself to death. Once there, he develops a romantic relationship with a pretty but hardened prostitute played by Elisabeth Shue.

In Episode 3 of Season 2, the lads discuss 'Wild at Heart' a 1990 American neo-noir black comedy-crime film written and directed by David Lynch, and based on Barry Gifford's 1989 novel of the same name, starring Nicolas Cage, Laura Dern, Diane Ladd, Willem Dafoe, Harry Dean Stanton, and Isabella Rossellini.
The film revolves around Sailor Ripley (Cage) and Lula Pace Fortune (Dern), a young couple from Cape Fear, North Carolina, who go on the run from her domineering mother and the gangsters she hires to kill Sailor.

In Episode 2 of Season 2, the lads discuss 'Vampire's Kiss' a 1989 American black comedy film directed by Robert Bierman, written by Joseph Minion, and starring Nicolas Cage, María Conchita Alonso, Jennifer Beals and Elizabeth Ashley.
The film tells the story of a mentally ill literary agent whose condition turns even worse when he believes he was bitten by a vampire and begins to think that he's turning into a vampire.
The film was a box office failure but went on to become a cult classic.

In Season two, Episode One the lads discuss Raising Arizona. Raising Arizona is a 1987 American crime comedy film directed by Joel Coen, produced by Ethan Coen, and written by Joel and Ethan. It stars Nicolas Cage as H.I. "Hi" McDunnough, an ex-convict, and Holly Hunter as Edwina "Ed" McDunnough.Convenience store robber Herbert I. "Hi" McDunnough and police officer Edwina "Ed" meet after she takes the mugshots of the recidivist. During subsequent visits, Hi learns that Ed's fiancé has left her. Hi proposes to her after his latest release from prison, and the two get married. They move into a desert mobile home, and Hi gets a job in a machine shop. They want to have children but Ed is infertile, and they cannot adopt because of Hi's criminal record, even though Ed is a police officer. Devastated, Ed quits her job. The couple learns of the "Arizona Quints," quintuplet sons of locally famous furniture magnate Nathan Arizona; Hi and Ed kidnap one of the babies.
