On this weekâs episode, host Caryn Antonini is out of the studio and on location with Josh Mesnik, owner and operator of Josie and Tonyâs, a private supper club in the trendy SONO district of Fairfield County, Connecticut. Josh is a General Manager by training, bringing over 2 decades of experience to his first restaurant concept which also includes an Italian sandwich shop. He got his start in the restaurant industry waiting tables at Cafe Luxembourg and went on to work front-of-house at Sushi Samba and Bobby Flayâs Mesa Grill in Manhattan. Along the way, he discovered his passion for wine and interned under Virginia Philip, Master Sommelier at the Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. As his career advanced, he served as lead sommelier at The Standard Highline, The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island and the White Elephant on Nantucket. Malonga is a chef, Founder of Culinary Innovation Village and owner of Meza Malonga, a culinary lab in Kigali, Rwanda. He was born in Congo and was trained at Adolph-Kolping SchĂŒle in MĂŒnster, Germany. He honed his culinary skills at Michelin starred restaurants, Schöte, La Vie and Aqua. Chef has earned support from UNESCO and the World Tourism Organization for his critical work, and MEZA Malonga has already been acclaimed by Travel + Leisure and Food & Wine as one of the Worldâs Best Restaurants. The Worldâs 50 Best Restaurants recognized him for his efforts and he was listed as one of the â50 Nextâ - as an Empowering Educator. In 2022 he was named Champion of Change for elevating African chefs through his program.
Malonga's work is inspired by the spirit of Pan-Africanism, a celebration of unity and people of Africa.

Stefan had a 10 year career in Formula 1, driving for both Ferrari and McLaren as well as several other notable teams. He won the prestigious Le Mans 24- hour race for Porsche, and the Sebring 12 hour race - 2 times. He had 12 podiums during his career and went on to participate in the CART series - now known as IndyCar - and for 5 years raced for Bettenhausen Racing. Stefan continues to race but is also an accomplished artist, watchmaker, designer, driving manager and television commentator.

Elijah is a graduate of Sphinx Hospitality school and catering services in Lagos, Nigeria, he holds a certificate in entrepreneurship and management from Young Africa Leaderâs Initiative (YALI West Africa RLC-GIMPA) and earned a Leading Change certificate from the University of Cambridge in 2017. He was the recipient of the 2017 Queenâs Young Leader Award presented by Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace for his contribution towards social development across the commonwealth. In 2020 he became a New Voices Fellow at the Aspen Institute. And these are just a few of his many awards and accomplishments for his critical work.
