Hero Motorsports' Ross Branch won the stage from seventh place today, putting time on HRC Monster Energy Honda's Ricky Brabec but Brabec performed a master class in Dakar Rally racing and only lost 32 seconds to his closest rival.
Brabec controlled the race stage completely, leading every kilometer from start to finish and collecting every possible bonus second on stage. Even without the bonus time gathered today, Brabec would be leading the 2024 Dakar Rally by around four minutes over Branch.
Brabec's Honda teammate Adrien Van Beveren came in third, just past three minutes down. Nacho Cornejo had a mechanical issue today with a fuel pump in his Honda, knocking him out of podium consideration.
The race comes down to the final day tomorrow. Tune in and enjoy the ride!

HRC Monster Energy Honda asserts it dominance on the 2024 Dakar Rally with another 1-2-3 podium performance for Stage 10.
American Ricky Brabec took the stage win seconds in front of his teammates Nacho Cornejo and Adrien Van Beveren, setting the stage for an all-Honda fight for the overall race podium. Brabec added to his race lead in the overall rankings over Hero Motorsports' Ross Branch to nearly 11 minutes with two stages to go.
We check in with the top finishers in the Rally GP class and check in with Rally 2 competitors in their tight battle for the overall win in class. We also check in with Original by Motul leader Tobias Ebster.Finally, we catch history in the making with an interview with Sara Price who became just the third woman in the history of the Dakar Rally to get a stage win and the first American to do it. She got the Stage 10 victory in the SSV (Side-by-Side) class and is 20 minutes or so out of the overall class lead. Congrats Sara!

Ricky Brabec made moves to extend his overall lead today on stage nine of the 2024 Dakar Rally as his HRC Monster Energy Honda teammate Adrien Van Beveren took the stage win with a commanding performance opening the stage after catching both Benavides brothers early on the course.
Ross Branch on his Hero lost time today in the battle, now sitting more than seven minutes behind Brabec in the general classification standings overall. Van Beveren moved into podium contention in third overall after today's stage.
We hear from Brabec and Van Beveren and Branch and check in with Jane Daniels and Kyle McCoy. The 2024 Dakar Rally Stage 8 results are overshadowed completely by the tragic loss of Spanish competitor Carlos Falcon of the Twintrail Racing Team. Carlos passed away today after a large crash on stage two. He had been transferred to Spain after initially receiving treatment by on-site medical staff and staff at the hospital in Saudi Arabia. His condition was very serious from the onset of the accident and he unfortunately passed away today as the result.
The Twintrail team is a group of passionate fans and enthusiasts and to see one of their own pass away is heartbreaking to us all in the Dakar fan/enthusiast community. And our heartfelt condolences are sent to his family and friends and the entire Twintrail team.
RallyGP competition increased intensity today as Ross Branch and Ricky Brabec raced together for much of the day, jockeying for position as they enter critical race days ahead.
We hear from the favorites and check in with the Malle Moto crew for some updates.

Today's Dakar Rally Daily covers the 2024 Dakar Rally Stage 7 and an incredibly tight overall race, down to ONE SECOND, between HRC Monster Energy Honda's Ricky Brabec and Hero Motorsports' Ross Branch.
Brabec's Honda teammate Nacho Cornejo took the stage win today, his third of the 2024 Dakar Rally, Yesterday's show guests Kevin and Luciano Benevides took second and third, respectively on the day to make it a 1-2-3 for South America!
In today's show we go over Stage 7's results and dig into the incredibly tight overall race as we head into the second half of the race. It's not really a rest day, as there is plenty of work to be done in the bivouac at the 2024 Dakar Rally. Factory riders have media and sponsor duties and, of course, the Original by Motul / Malle Moto competitors are on their own to get their bikes back in shape to attack the second half of this ambitious 2024 Dakar Rally course.

2024 Dakar Rally Stage 6 Results and a Skyler Howes interview!
We've made it to rest day (technically tomorrow) at the 2024 Dakar Rally and the front-running general classification contenders are in a tight battle to control the front of the race.
HRC Monster Energy Honda's Adrien Van Beveren took the 48-Hour Chrono stage victory after two days and about 800km of racing to make himself a serious threat for overall victory. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Toby Price rode a great two days to second overall on the stage with Van Beveren's Honda teammate Ricky Brabec coming in third.
In the General Classifiction standing, Ricky Brabec takes the lead with the top four now within a 15-minute window.
With more than half of the race distance and time to go, still, anything can happen.
We hear from the top racers, check in with the malle moto standings and have a nice chat with Skyler Howes who abandoned the race shortly into the two-day stage six.

The 2024 Dakar Rally "48-Hour Chrono" stage kicked off today and dished out more challenges for the Dakar Rally competitors. Top Rally GP competitors lead out the day into Saudi Arabia's Empty Quarter to remote bivouacs that are spread out along the course. A sea of endless dunes met the racers head-on and some bowed out after technical issues.
Today's race was the first part of a two-day single stage. And HRC Monster Energy Honda's Adrien Van Beveren leads at today's rest stops with impressive sand speed over more than 500km of racing. AVB's Honda teammate Ricky Brabec came in to the bivouac hot on his heels to sit in second (Virtually) and Red Bull KTM's Toby Price is right behind him in third.
Honda's Skyler Howes left the race today after only ~40KM due to a techincal issue with his bike and yesterday's stage winner Pablo Quintanilla - poised to make up big time today after a reversed starting order - ran out of fuel 10km before the first refueling of the day, an error that dashes his hopes of overall victory.

The fourth stage of the 2024 Dakar Rally completed today with the top three front runners establishing control of the event and extending their advantage over the rest of the field by more than 20 minutes to fourth place.

Red Bull Factory KTM Racing's Kevin Benavides took the stage victory today, and we cover all the top racers finishes and massive challenges on the day.
In today's Dakar Rally Daily we also talk directly with our in-the-bivouac coorespondent Anthony Bonello about the state of the race, the setup of the unique marathon stage service area and more. Anthony connects us with stage winner Kevin Benavides, Ricky Brabec, Ross Branch and Toby Price and we also get some updates from Mason Klein as he struggles to get to the end of the day with more mechanical issues.
We've had more abandonments today including front runners Sam Sunderland and Sebastian Buhler, and American Jacob Argubright had to bail on the stage due to a mechanical but can continue in the race (without an official score) as he's in the Rally 2 category.

Ross Branch takes the stage win on his Hero Motorsports ride after a really fast pace kept him in front almost all day.
American Mason Klein woke everyone up today with his decision yesterday to willingly lead out a huge day of the rally - putting himself at risk of massive time loss. But, that didn't happen as the kid on the Kove lead the way all day, never seeing another rider in his rearview. His ride captured all the available bonus points on-course (six minutes worth), and combined with his blistering pace all day, kept him in third overall for the stage, from the front - not easy!
Plenty happened behind him. We lost HRC Monster Energy Honda newcomer Tosha Scheirna to a crash and injured arm, Hero Motorsports' Joaquim Rodriguez went out in a crash, as well.
Tough day for Honda's Skyler Howes starting second off the line this morning and losing time due to a navigation error. But, the rest of the Honda team stayed clean and strong, with Ricky Brabec coming in second on the day.
Plenty of more racing to come and more stories to tell.

In this episode of Dakar Rally Daily we interview Mason Klein, the up-and-coming American rally racer as he prepares to head to Dubai in advance of the 2024 Dakar Rally. Mason gives us plenty to talk about as his program has completely flipped in 2024. After stage-winning and top-overall standing performances at last year's Dakar, Mason was a victim of budget cuts in the KTM support program and left without a contract. The Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge has wrapped after five fast, sandy stages across the Empty Quarter of the Saudi Arabian Peninsula and the country of the United Arab Emirates.
After over 17 hours of racing nearly 2,000 kilometers, Monster Energy Honda Team's Adrian Van Beveren took the win by 4:18 over Husqvarna Factory Racing's Luciano Benavides and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Toby Price (5:13 out of the lead).
In this show we go through the overall rankings, stage-by-stage results, and provide unique insight into the race conditions, terrain, scale and competitors' efforts.
