It's the final part of my chat with Austin singer-songwriter & performer Dan Guevara! Dan and I talk more about the concept of the Lazy Days LP — to escape and to "live in bliss and enjoy the beauty of the world, and the moment you're in." Dan also talks about his TV appearances; the joy of seeing people dance together when he's performing on stage; The Beatles, Elvis; some more discussion on the song "Dear Anthony" & more!

"Folk with a Rock 'n' Roll Soul" — that is one way to describe Austin-based singer-songwriter Dan Guevara's sound! You might also say Dan's music reminds us that we don't always have to rush through our days; we can be a guiding light to someone in a dark place; and there can be comfort and solace in saying goodbye. It's also OK to look back and laugh at our missteps in romance — our "procrastination" that one time (or several times) when we should have just asked that someone out on a date!
Dan's debut LP Lazy Days touches on a range of human emotions and experiences. It's the perfect musical companion for your commute, your weekend trip, an early morning with that first cup of coffee — or sitting around the fire pit with some friends.
Dan Guevara had to learn a tough lesson during the recording of what would become his first EP Lost in Austin. He talks about that experience and shares the story of his upbringing and first experiences with music.
Dan and I get in some good "Dan Time" in Part I of this two-part special. Be sure to subscribe to this podcast to catch Part II as soon as it is released!

Longtime lead singer & guitarist for The Four Horsemen, the ONLY note-for-note, album quality tribute to Metallica — Sean Perry returns for Episode 90! A year after our first conversation, Sean was gracious enough to sit down with me in the green room at Vinyl Music Hall in Pensacola, FL just prior to his band's performance on Sat. March 16th.
The Horsemen have sold out numerous shows over this latest trek and they have built a dedicated following over the years.
Sean has endured a lot personally over the past year, including the sudden loss of his father. He shares a touching story about his dad and their relationship. We also talk about Sean's dedication to the fans & what drives him, Luke (lead guitar), Alec (bass) & Drew (drums) to bring this music to the masses night after night. And of course, we talk about the music!
You won't want to miss the chance to see The Four Horsemen perform at a venue near you! Visit www.fourhorses.me and follow @fourhorsemenofficial on social media.

I am so fired up to introduce to you Dani Hart, the Chilean/Belgian powerhouse vocalist, songwriter and vocal performance coach who is lighting up the metal and hard rock world! Her commanding stage presence draws comparisons to Lzzy Hale, The Pretty Reckless & The Warning.

Enjoy the second half of my conversation with Boston blues artist Danielle Miraglia! Remember how you "followed" artists in decades past? You'll enjoy the nostalgia we touch on in this episode. Picking up on "Snow Globe," the opening song from Danielle's debut record Nothing Romantic, we talk about why it remains such a powerful track all these years later. What's your snow globe in 2025?
We also brush up on Danielle's direct & scathing 2024 single "The Ones Who Made Him," which in no uncertain terms calls out the various voices and media outlets that gave life and fuel to a certain public figure. She also paints a grim future for a culture of attention-seekers:
"He thrives on your outrage, and you always take the bait"
Download this song wherever you listen to music!

My discussion with Jimmy wraps up on this episode, which is his 5th or 6th appearance on the show (whenever I have some time, I will provide a proper count)!
Sammy Sosa. Rickey Henderson. Modest Mouse. What hurts when you wake up in the morning. These are just SOME of the mind-bending topics we cover before a rather rude end to the call.
Be sure to subscribe to Dan Time wherever you listen to podcasts! Whether you leave a comment or just a five-star rating, I appreciate YOU as a listener. (Special prize goes to the listener who leaves a 1-star rating with an entirely justifiable, perhaps even rambling comment).

Guess who's back?? To kick off 2025, why not turn to the man who made the initial launch of Dan Time possible — Mr. Jim Powell! If you like nonsense, you came to the right place. Stay tuned as the conversation wraps up later this week.

Where does the Dan Time go?? On this year-end recap, I take a minute to acknowledge some of the most exciting guests of 2024. I also take a minute to speak about what I've learned about amateur podcasting —and to beat back at some of the criticism you hear in the media.
If you "took the ride" through the Daniverse this year, you were treated to some prolific, fascinating — and most importantly, likable — guests! Personalities such as Dan Brodie, Dan Zlotnick, Dan Sharp, Dan Maines, Dan Beebe ... or Dana Wylie, Dana Perry, Dani Kerr, Daniela Galasso ... they all told a story worth hearing. Perhaps you also enjoyed getting a glimpse into my network, hearing from a McArdle brother or another old friend (Denny Lyons, John Hunter).
Dan Time has finally secured an AI Overview on Google! This is all made possible by you and your support.
I appreciate YOU as a listener! Happy New Year. Find out what's important to you in 2025 and run after it!

A Thanksgiving Day conversation in my living room turned into a most unlikely Dan Time episode — with my mother, Janie Wigley! Whether you're a young parent, a parent of grown children, a single mom or dad, or just a casual listener, you're going to find some great takeaways here. My mom (or Nana as she is known to my children) dispenses some time-honored parenting advice. And she shares some hilarious stories from mine and my brothers' formative years in Chicago & Virginia (that may not have been so funny at the time).
In Part II of this conversation, we explore Mom's days growing up in a small town, as well as her early 20s when she worked for Coca-Cola and partied in downtown Atlanta.
Thanks for listening & subscribing! Tell your mom about this episode.
