This is a recap of the bible study I am writing so far! As I write this bible study I want to share what I am learning along the way. What can we learn from the bible about how we should approach dieting, body image, confidence, and setting a godly example of self control.
In this episode I am recapping the first few chapters and the twists and turns God has done along the way.
As always, I ask you pray over this bible study. Your prayers are felt and heard! It is so powerful to have your prayers and it means SO much to me.

I have shared my story in the past on blogs, but I've never shared the stories I am about to share on this podcast! I am going to share with you my struggles and journey out of disordered eating.
If you are like me, you need to laugh a bit through the struggles, and you'll find that here as we walk through the nitty gritty and the abundant growth.
If you want to share YOUR story (anonymously, of course) on this podcast, please email me at [email protected]
Just writing and sharing your story can be so therapeutic and healing, and the women that are blessed to hear it can find healing as well.
If you just found me here, I am over on IG talking about your relationship with food and helping you navigate the messy diet culture and path to overcoming with a faith centered approach.

Raising your kids in a fallen world has it's challenges, and sometimes those challenges include our history with dieting and disordered eating.
I'd say nearly 80% of the women I work with are moms that desire to not impose their disordered eating behavior and body insecurities issues on their children, and want to raise them to be strong and confident.
Some of us might be navigating through our own struggles with body image and dieting, and some of us are on the other side of recovery and want to know how to protect our kids.
While we can't prevent their insecure thoughts (and I don't think we should!) how do we model healthy behaviors? How do we talk about our bodies in a way that reflects Jesus? How do we handle the diet culture that will inevitably influence and hit our kids?
Today's episode we cover it ALL!

A powerful way to start your healing journey is to share your story. Your origin story of dieting and disorder eating. What you will hear in these confessionals is women sharing their difficult influences and environments that informed and influenced how they felt about food and body.
Where does all of this struggle come from? What are we to do now that we know where all this start?
Today's story is raw, real, and talks about growing up in a house that experienced addiction and divorce.
Thank you so much for the women who shared her story today, I am so grateful for you, and your story will impact women's hearts more than you know.
If you'd like to share YOUR story (anonymously) on this podcast, go ahead and email me at [email protected]
I promise to keep these confidential and to share them in a loving way.
PSA: I am not a therapist, I am not YOUR dietitian. This is purely a reflective and response episode to share your story and I share my opinion.
