Tune in for another episode of Digital Nomad Ventures for a free-flowing conversation with my friend Axios Papaflessas, an Austin-based visual creative, videographer, life coach, and vlogger. At the age of 18 he became a Certified LifeLine Technique Practitioner, helping others to discover the root causes of their physical pain, challenges, fears, and stressors by addressing the subconscious mind. Years later he attended medical school at Palmer College of Chiropractic. After completing over 150 exams, working in over 40 offices, and leading 4 clubs, he found himself lost... "Nothing feels right!" This ultimately led to his realization that the countless hours he had spent in the world of medicine and education were helping him to viscerally integrate and understand the major changes that would need to take place in the world on a systemic level. He made the courageous decision to drop out, in order to pursue who he truly was...
In this episode we talk about what inspired Axios to quit grad school and various jobs to pursue his true passion, travel plans to do a work trade program at a retreat center in beautiful Costa Rica, saving up money with clinical trials, stressors associated with being a full-time digital nomad, daily morning rituals, and more!

Tune in for another episode of Digital Nomad Ventures for an electric conversation with Jenna Jasso, founder of LoveATX and YogaPorVida. After university in 2007 she joined the professional world as a Mechanical Engineer and quickly became depressed and bewildered. It wasn't long before she quit her job to travel through Australia and find herself. The newfound freedom gave her the opportunity to deepen her yogic practice and meet amazing people. After some explorations around the world she began to study yoga, meditation, subtle body healing, and the unmatched power of the mind. Now she's a mindfulness coach, culture creator, and a positive transformational force in the local community. I've known Jenna for over 7 years and it has been an honor to travel with her in Peru, Guatemala, Sedona, Big Bend National Park, and other destinations. She has been an inspiration to me for many years and I appreciate her for getting me out of my comfort zone to travel the world doing what I love. In this episode we talk about what inspired her to start teaching yoga/meditation, uplifting indigenous people in other cultures, the importance of being in the moment / digital minimalism, how to travel on a budget, upcoming retreats in Peru & Nepal, and daily morning rituals. Enjoy listening!

Yannik Love is a professional photographer/videographer, host of The Art of Listening podcast, media consultant, and founder of The Perfect Headshot photography studio in Austin, Texas. Yannik's international travels shooting photography and video professionally combined with thousands of studio portrait sessions have left him with an experiential understanding of what it takes to be an entrepreneur in the creative field as well as a deep gratitude for life. Yannik's personal creative career and The Perfect Headshot studio have collectively photographed local celebrities such as Joe Rogan, Ben Folds, Gary Vaynerchuk, founder of Whole Foods John Mackey, and the Mayor of Austin Steve Adler. It was an honor sitting down with Yannik at his photo studio in Travis Heights neighborhood. I still remember meeting him over 4 years ago when he was still getting the business off the ground. In this episode of the podcast I get the opportunity to sit down with Brio Yiapan at her beautiful photography studio in Austin, Texas. Brio was born in Kenya and her family moved to Austin when she was still a baby. She got her start in photography living in Jamaica after high school. After completing a degree in photography she started the studio back in 2002. She loves meeting new people and collaborating with them to make their vision happen. I recently featured Brio Photography in a blog post on Top 10 Photographers in Austin. They say it takes 10,000 hours of sustained practice to become a master at your craft. She has been working for almost 20 years and is definitely a master photographer. In this episode we have an engaging conversation about what inspired her to start her own photography business, best marketing techniques, finding quality clients, go-to camera gear, life with family/kids, national parks in Texas, drilling wells for clean drinking water in Kenya, travel stories from China, and more! Tune in for another episode of Digital Nomad Ventures! In this episode of the podcast I interview the inspiring adventurer David Rule. He's a 22-year-old photographer, world traveler, and Instagram influencer based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming near Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park. I've been inspired by his beautiful photography work on Instagram for a few years and recently contacted him about being on the podcast. To my surprise he was interested in setting up an interview! After graduating from University of Wyoming he realized that a medical career wasn't his desired path in life and decided to pick up a camera and start traveling the world. We discuss a few of his favorite destinations (namely Croatia in Southern Europe), go-to camera gear, photo editing techniques, and what it takes to work with tourism boards. As of one year ago, he had never traveled to another country outside the United States. Fast forward, now he's visited 18 countries and counting! While he's not taking pictures in beautiful destinations, you can usually find him running marathons, unicycling, or hucking a backflip off a lakeside cliff.
