In this guided meditation, given deep into a longer retreat, the focus is on programming your mindfulness, which is not so much a doing, but a seeing. It is about reminding yourself early in the meditation what you don't want to do − problems you have had in the past, which you do not want to repeat. In this guided session, the focus goes first to the body, allowing it to be just as it is, then calming it down. Then the guiding takes you to a past experience of deep contentment and peace, and allowing your mindfulness to rest on the breath, which will lead you into peace and calm.

This is a guided meditation first focusing on our sensory input and allowing them to settle down, then focusing on good qualities in others and finding the same or other good qualities in yourself. Then with a settled and happy mind, moving the focus to the breath.

Often the meditation object, for example the breath, is too sutle to focus on, maybe because your life is bussy with work, responsibilities and being social. And a trick you can use then, is to make the meditation object bigger and more entertaining, by adding visualisations. In this guided meditation you are asked to create an imaginary beautiful peaceful place, with a little bit of repetetive movements − movements which under meditation will go in parallel to your breathing.

This guided meditation, given the first day of a retreat, focuses on establishing a lovely environment in the mind, into which we can invite whatever arrises − breath, bodily sensations, silence, emotions or thinking. The important part is our attitude when we welcome them in − allowing them in with kindness, acceptance, friendlyness and warmth. After the guided meditation, some instructions are added on how to do walking meditation.

The body scan is a meditation practice involving scanning your body for pain, tension, or anything out of the ordinary. It can help you feel more connected to the body, which is a easy meditation object to follow leading to peace of mind.

After a couple of jokes, intentionally to make you giggle and put a smile on your face, the focus moves to our body, allowing it to calm down, wishing the body all the best. Then focusing in on this moment - not wanting to get rid of anything which is here - being aware and kind, to body and mind.

This is a guided body scan meditation, first creating comfort, ease and peace in the body − legs, buttocks, hands, torso, neck and face. Removing tightness and tense.
Then when the body is calm, looking at the mind, asking "How peaceful are you now?" and "How can I become more peaceful?" − remembering to be kind to the past, and kind to the future.
