Club 23 of 92 in Burnley.
Burnley is one of the oldest clubs in England, playing professional football as early as the 19th century, and one with FA Cup and First Division titles under their belts. In more recent years however, they've been the ultimate yo-yo club; too good for the Championship, too bad for the Premier League.
In this episode, Daniel, James and guest Andrew Greaves (of From The Bee Hole End, a Burnley podcast) talk through how it feels to be a fan of a club stuck in the middle, and discuss the identity of the club that has whiplashed between extreme pragmatism to extreme ideologue. Where do they sit now?

Club 22 of 92 is AFC Bournemouth.
Bournemouth are flying high these days under progressive Basque coach Andoni Iraola, but if you go back a couple of decades their entire existence was under threat, with administration and points deductions plunging the club down the football pyramid.
The years of recovery have turned into years of Premier League stability. In this episode, Daniel sits down with one of the pillars of their all-action midfield: Lewis Cook (aka the Yorkshire Rodri). They discuss club philosophy and the process of recovering from two ACL injuries.

Club 21 of 92 is Cheltenham Town FC.
Fresh from dropping into League 2 this year, the Robins aren't having the best couple of seasons. Sitting lower-midtable, they are struggling on the pitch - looking to avoid the dreaded double relegation - and off the pitch to engage punters.
In this episode, James and Daniel speak to James Young, head of Cheltenham's supporters trust about some of the problems surrounding the club. And they also discuss the light at the end of the tunnel - new investment is being sought not just at the club, but also in the entire region, with around £1bn set to be pumped into business in the local area.

Club 20 of 92 is Walsall FC.
Tucked away in the West Midlands, the Sadlers fly somewhat under the radar, surrounded as they are by the likes of Aston Villa, West Brom, and Wolves. Now in League 2, they find themselves looking upwards at a potential promotion push, but their best work might actually come away from the match day.
In this episode, James and Daniel discuss Walsall’s ‘Beat The Block’ program, set up as an aid for suicide prevention. Daniel attends one of the free football sessions the program runs, complete with Walsall first-team players in the dugout, and brings back tales of what it’s done for the participants.

Club 19 of 92 is Fleetwood Town.
Known as ‘the Fishermen’, the coastal Fleetwood Town FC are one of the smallest clubs in the EFL by crowd size - their home at the Highbury Stadium barely gets 5,000 through the doors. Nevertheless, in the last few years, they are a club that has fought above their weight, climbing out of non-League to League 1 (before relegation to their current place in League 2). And their manager is a familiar face: former Liverpool, Stoke and Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam.
In this episode, James and Daniel discuss how the club have overachieved in recent seasons, from bold managerial choices to the emergence, goals and sale of Jamie Vardy. And we hear from Charlie Adam himself on dealing with grief during his playing career, and his start to life as a first-time manager.

Club 18 of 92 is Preston North End.
The original 'Invincibles', PNE started life in the 19th century as one of England's elite clubs, doing the league and cup double without losing a game in 1888/89. However, this kind of success didn't quite make it to the 20th or 21st century.
Preston have now been ensconced in the middle of the Championship for over a decade, finishing between 10th and 14th seven times in nine seasons. Joining James and Daniel to discuss this mediocrity is Jack Tucker of The Butter Pie Podcast, as we ask who is to blame for the clubs stagnation, and whether there are any bright sparks in the team.

Club 17 of 92 is Birmingham City.
Birmingham City are flying high at the top of League 1, fresh off a summer where they spent more money than Manchester City. The club's new American ownership group, including former NFL star Tom Brady, opened the chequebook to ensure a quick return to the Championship, and it seems to be working. But how ambitious is the club beyond that?
James Gray and Daniel Storey attempt to answer this and take a look at what the Birmingham revolution looks like on the pitch.

Club 15 of 92 is AFC Wimbledon.

In this episode we hear about the 'not a derby' derby that Daniel takes in at Plough Lanes against MK Dons, relive the dramatic history the connects the two clubs, and ask how Wimbledon have been so successful under fan ownership. Club 14 of 92 is Chesterfield.
North Derbyshire's Chesterfield has a storied history of League football, but back-to-back relegations saw them slip into non-League for the first time in nearly 100 years in 2018. And it's not been smooth sailing off the pitch either. The recent decades have seen financial difficulties, an imprisoned former owner, and heroic fan-led organisations bailing the club out.
As of this season, however, they are back in the EFL, and back under new ownership. In this podcast, we hear from Phil Kirk, one half of the Chesterfield-supporting brothers who have recently taken a majority stake in the club. We also hear from CEO John Croot, who's been with the club through the good times and bad.

From pre-match meal to squad tactical meeting to dressing room team talk and even ending up on the bench itself as Harrogate host Doncaster, Daniel lives out his "best day ever" as a football journalist.

Early signs suggest they’ll be in and about the top six.
Daniel also manages to get a sit-down with Rhian Brewster. Once the brightest of talents in England’s U17 World Cup-winning team, injuries have derailed his career to some extent. Now aged 24 and with Sheffield United, he’s trying to get as many minutes under his belt as possible.

Club 11 of 92 is Watford FC.
Tom Cleverley is a familiar name in the football world. The former Manchester United and England midfielder found a home in his latter playing days at Vicarage Road, and has now risen through the club to take over as manager. And the early impressions are excellent.
Hosts James and Daniel are joined by guest David Walker of From The Rookery End podcast, to get a fans-eye-view of whether the club - synonymous with manager turnover - has turned a new leaf with Cleverly's internal promotion to manager, and whether he'll be given time at the helm even if poor form comes, unlike so many before him.

Club 7 of 92 is the oldest association football club in the world: Notts County.
Founded in 1862, Notts County have been around for a while. They helped found the Football League as we know it today in 1888, gave their shirt colours to Juventus, and launched the career of Neil Warnock (among others!), but some of their best work is being done now, in 2024, off the pitch.
In this episode, Daniel recounts his trip to see Notts County's charity work in action, namely the CARE programme the club run for people living and recovering from cancer. And we also get the view of their recent on-pitch success, which has seen a recent return to the football league in 2023, and aims going forward.
