Guest Bio:Dr. Armando D. Bedoya, MD, MMCi, brings a rare blend of humanities and healthcare expertise to his role as Duke Health's Chief Analytics and Medical Informatics Officer. With undergraduate foundations in humanities, he approaches healthcare innovation through a deeply human lens. After graduating from Brown University's Warren Alpert Medical School, he completed his medical training at Duke University along with a Master's of Management in Clinical Informatics. He now leads the Analytics Center of Excellence and pioneers the ethical implementation of AI in healthcare. His work includes developing governance frameworks for AI technology while championing health equity initiatives. As both a practicing physician in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and an assistant professor of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics, Dr. Bedoya embodies the intersection of technological innovation and compassionate care, working to shape a future where data serves humanity in healthcare.
