Dr. Jessi Gold is the inaugural Chief Wellness Officer for the University of Tennessee (UT) System and an associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC).
Dr. Gold works clinically as an outpatient psychiatrist and focuses her work on students, faculty, and healthcare workers.
She has spoken at major national and international meetings across diverse settings, from academic institutions to hospital systems to the entertainment industry. She has written research and academic publications in JAMA, the American Journal of Psychiatry, and elsewhere and has been identified by Beckerâs Hospital Review as one of the âTop 14 Chief Wellness Officers to Get to Know | 2024âČ.
She may be best known, however, for her general audience original publications that teach about mental health topics and decrease stigma that can be found in, among others, the Washington Post, New York Times, Forbes, SELF, and InStyle, as well as her expert media appearances in print, television, radio, and podcasts, and her large social media presence.

Dr. Gold is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a B.A. and M.S. in Anthropology, in addition to being a Benjamin Franklin Scholar and Phi Beta Kappa. She also completed her medical degree at the Yale School of Medicine and her residency training in Adult Psychiatry at Stanford University, where she served as chief resident from 2017-2018. She has received numerous awards and accolades for her contributions in mental health and psychiatry, including the Deanâs Impact Award for her work during the COVID-19 pandemic in her previous hospital system, Washington University in St Louis School of Medicine.

John M. Oldham, M.D. is currently Distinguished Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine. Previously, he held the Barbara and Corbin J. Robertson, Jr. Endowed Chair for Personality Disorders. Dr. Oldham previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff of the Menninger Clinic. Earlier in his career, Dr. Oldham was Director of the New York State Psychiatric Institute, Chief Medical Officer of the New York State Office of Mental Health, and the Elizabeth K. Dollard Professor of Psychiatry and the Law, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. In 2002, Dr. Oldham became Professor and Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Executive Director of the Institute of Psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina, and he relocated to Houston in 2007.
Dr. Oldham is Past President of the following organizations: American Psychiatric Association, American College of Psychiatrists, New York County District Branch of the American Psychiatric Association, South Carolina Psychiatric Association, International Society for the Study of Personality Disorders, and Association for Research on Personality Disorders.
Dr. Oldham is involved in teaching and research. His research interests are focused on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with severe personality disorders. He is editor-in-chief of the Journal of Psychiatric Practice, joint editor-in-chief of Borderline Personality Disorder and Emotion Dysregulation, joint editor of the Journal of Personality Disorders, and he has published extensively.

Deanna Minich, MS, PhD, CNS, Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (IFMCP), is a nutrition scientist, international lecturer, teacher, and author, with over twenty years of experience in academia and in the food and dietary supplement industries.
Throughout the years, she has been active as a functional medicine clinician in clinical trials and in her own practice (Food & Spiritâą), which has now become oriented towards groups, workshops, and retreats. She is the author of six consumer books on wellness topics, four book chapters, and over fifty scientific publications. Her academic background is in nutrition science, including a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Illinois at Chicago (1995) and a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Medical Sciences (nutrition focus) from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands (1999). For a decade, she was part of the research team led by the âfather of Functional Medicine,â Dr. Jeffrey Bland, and has served on the Nutrition Advisory Board for The Institute of Functional Medicine, as well as on the Board of Directors for the American Nutrition Association. Since 2013, she has been part of the faculty for the Advanced Practice Module in Environmental Health offered by the Institute for Functional Medicine and has been teaching a graduate level course in metabolic detoxification at the University of Western States. Over the decades, she has taught thousands of nutrition classes for health coaches, fitness trainers, and healthcare professionals, including for programs offered by the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy, the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy, and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

Growing up in a food-loving Italian family, our Founder and CEO, Dan Giusti has always had a passion for food. This inspired him to attend the Culinary Institute of America in New York.
