Chaz and myself introduce the full one-hour binaural recording of our 3D soundscape ‘Adventures In The Electroverse’, recently premiered in the World Trade Center in New York, featuring a hypnotic composition including the best stories from many of our favourite guests.
When I started this podcast, I never anticipated that it would still be going nearly 3 years later, but it’s become such an integral part of my life that I can’t stop! In fact one point I even considered making the 200th episode the last…

What a treat we have in store for you…
This monumental episode of Electronically Yours features one of the true pioneers of electronic music…Morton Subotnick is an American composer of electronic music, best known for his 1967 composition Silver Apples of the Moon, the first electronic work commissioned by a record company, Nonesuch.
Morton has worked extensively with interactive electronics and multi-media, co-founding the San Francisco Tape Music Center, often collaborating with his wife Joan La Barbara.
Morton Subotnick is one of the great pioneers of electronic music and multi-media performance, and an innovator in works involving instruments and other media including interactive computer music systems. He also co-developed the incredible Buchla synthesiser.
At 91, he still composes, performs and lectures about his love of electronic and interactive music. I am privileged to interview Morton, and as it was such a wide-ranging conversation, this is just part one of two episodes devoted to the maestro…

Based in Zurich, his approach to music production is extraordinary. Using a vast sample library that he builds himself, Boris assembles a sonic picture for each composition that defies genre, often delivered with a dry sense of humour.
Titles like ‘The Race’ ‘I Love You’ and ‘Oh Yeah’ (from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off) are part of the global furniture now. Boris has also built a successful music app called Yellofier with over 150,000 downloads to date.

Today's fascinating episode of Electronically Yours features folk/rock/pop singer songwriter and frontman of The Daintees, Martin Stephenson.
A fellow northerner, Martin’s songwriting is nuanced and excellent, and is widely regarded as one of the UK’s finest.
The Daintees released their first highly-acclaimed single in 1982, and since then have remained prolific and very popular and still perform regularly. Fun fact – I’m quite fond of folk-influenced music, as is my fellow electronic buddy, Vince Clarke!
