I want to share with you all why I believe Ethiopia should balkanise peacefully! As the 3 main power players cannot agree to a complex overlapping narrative, instead 2/3 continue to build their national identity based of fallacy and myth I cannot ever see an end to the suffering. But the geopolitical situation is not going to let this happen.
-
Today I discuss a bit about the complex relationships in Ethiopias political space. I go through why some people hate the TPLF. And why I feel people are getting the geopolitics all wrong and forgoing their future sovereignty. (This was recorded in January 2022)

I discuss the history of the Neftenga and the Ethiopian state formation and how that period still lingers in the elite of Addis Abeba and Amhara state today. But also how this impacts the way forward. And my opinions on how I think it should be.
-
As quickly as I can run through the history of the Semitic people. A tiny outline of the Cushitic people, the Oromo Gaada system and then WHY Ethiopia is such a disaster. The internal colonisation and assimilation of the those south of modern Amhara region. The divide and conquer of the Tigrayan and afar people. And why the eprdf constitution did NOT divide the country down ethnic lines. It always was, always will be made up of many nations and nationalities.
-
These just make me laugh. 😂😂😂
-
I discuss the element of human suffering, the denial of democracy, the economics of the crisis and the plain fact that the west doesn’t care. The plight of the people is truly up to the internal defence mechanisms and the duly elected government of Tigray and that of the locked up Oromo politicians.
-
I discuss the historical misunderstandings of the empire of Ethiopia, the internal colonisation and now the miscalculation of the Ethiopian political system. If the world could listen to only one thing I say, it would be this!
-
A month of terror committed by neoDerg nationalists and Isias Afwerki of Eritrea!
-
Just a few rumours around the mill about Abiy Ahmed. Is it true or is it #fakenews?
-
Not your typical episode . More an exploratory analysis of the current rulers psychology.
-
I loosely explain how this narrative was created. And why it is time to end it!!!
-
Why only Amhara deaths are being made a big deal of.
-
Sorry. I was in the car. This one didn’t work to well. But my thoughts are there. This was done a week after the Tigray election. Before the locusts.
-
I’m wondering. Is there a link between the second coming, the destruction of Ethiopian politics and the Pentay church. Locusts are destroying the farms, the people are dying, political opponents are jailed, Oromia is being infiltrated by Eritrean soldiers, all whilst Abiy entertains Isaias and rides on kids motorcycles. The shame. The departure of the Holy Spirit. God be with what is left of Ethiopia 😭
-
I just don't think mentioning Abiy Ahmed is Oromo is helpful! *UPDATE* I made a few incorrect assumptions in this podcast. Abiy Ahmed is not a child of Addis Abeba. And the Oromo protests were not as simple as Addis Abeba being theirs. You live and learn and increased your awareness. Will cover the issues correctly in season 2.

I ask the question, is Ethiopia ready for Ethiopian nationalism? Is anywhere ready for civic nationalism? Has it worked before? And who does it benefit?
-
This episode is just a thought bubble. Maybe. Just maybe. Maybe unity can come through a mutual historical respect.
-
Perhaps Ethiopia needs a foreign language to unite them. And is separating going to diminish the sovereignty of competition in the economic market?
-
Why the Tigray election is so vital. And not for Tigray at all. But for the rest of the country.
-
I had an ahuh moment today. So I’ve set out to discuss how Mr Abiy has been wrongfully quoted as the Nobel peace prize winner for Democracy. Instead he should have been given it for making Ethiopia a Presidential Republic. I am also discussing how Meles’ vision for Ethiopia was one of the most unique political systems and ideologies we have seen in the 20th century.
