4 Hurdles to Being a Good Enough Mom
1-- You constantly doubt yourself. You don't have a belief that you are exactly the right mom for your kids
2-- Motherhood is serious all the time. You always strive for perfection for yourself and your family. You never let down your hair and admit to mistakes or have fun.
3--Motherhood is for lone wolves. You don't have community; you need community.
4--You think you're superwoman. You are human. Let yourself be human. Give yourself some slack.
Self-Care: Journal about all of the people you have in your life. Who is your community? Plan ideas on how to connect with those people in the next 30-90 days.

Move into 2024 with a Plan

When I say plan I mean make room for anticipation. We have all had an unplanned day and wondered where all the hours went.
You are a fantastic mom and an amazing human. You have so many choices, and I love moving because it reminds me of all the options I have in life.
We are MOVING into a new year. Letâs take a few tips from moving cross country to help us
Review Your stuff
âLook at your photos of 2023. What needs printing? Whatâs the theme? What was the best of the best each month?
Tend to important documents
âTransfer your calendar/ planner. Take yourself on a date for this task.
Dreamâ Talk about the upcoming year with others.
When you move, the fun part is all of the options. The overwhelming part is the options, too, so take the time to figure out what matters to you. Will a word of the year help? Big, scary goals like 75 hard or running streak or a giant book goal?
Anticipate and sign up. There are no big giant goals this year. 30-day stretches with intention. My word this year is process. You can use that word in many ways, and I want to use it in all of the ways. But for now. Iâm leaning into process vs outcome. I can control so few things in life. That's what 2023 taught me. How little I have control and how fun it is to have your hands wide open.
Jump inâ Be a beginnerâ get lost. Make mistakes. Get messy.
The goal of 2024 isnât an outcome but the becoming.
January 30 day goalâ Laughter every day. This one has been on my list for a while and I saved it for the most serious month I know. It is the month where everyone wants to go hard and improve themselves. I want to laugh. I have a book to read, articles picked out, a couple of YouTube videos, and some family-friendly comedy specials. Motherhood is way too serious to be serious all of the time.
Goalâ Laugh every day â if I donât feel like laughing, my option is to practice laughing for 5 minutes.
Children 300 times a day, adults 17.5
Family Fun: Watch a funny movie or TV show. Let your kids see you let down your hair. Ask them if they know if you like silly things.
