Are you an expat or an immigrant parent living away from your home country and raising a family?
Then this podcast is your place to be that will address questions and issues pertaining to parenting in a foreign country.
Hi! I am Ruchi Jaju. My journey as an Expat Parent began when I moved to Luxembourg from India almost 8 years ago. With a 5 month old baby, a new place, a contrasting climate and social environment as compared to that of India, the settling down period was no less than an uncomfortable process.
Having met and spoken to multiple expat parents like me, I found out that most of the parents struggle with a couple of common themes:
Familiarizing kids with your religion, customs or rituals of your home country (which could be a minority religion in the country you have relocated to) Finding the right education system is the best for your kid Finding a job for the trailing partner who have left their jobs in their previous country Extracurricular activities for your kids and establishing your ecosystem that can support you in this new countryI can go on and on with a lot more...
But I am sure, you'd be able to relate to it if you have ever lived in a new country and raised your kids while living there.
The objective with this podcast is to bring to you experiences and stories from people across the child's ecosystem that consists of -
fellow expat parents like you and me child care providers psychologists and child behavioral experts educationists administrates from government authorities doctors other specialists related to child care and family well-beingEach episode will leave you with takeaways, that are relevant, actionable and practical in nature that will help you in this parenting journey.
Don't forget to subscribe and follow this podcast on whichever platform you are tuning in from. This little gesture of support would mean a lot to me in this journey that I have just begun. :)
