Have you ever felt a chill run down your spine whilst driving at night on unfamiliar roads?
The story of the hairy hands has become part of the paranormal lore of Dartmoor. A pair of disembodied hands that supposedly grab onto vehicles' steering wheel and drive them off the road.
The story has been repeated many times over theyears, with varying inaccuracies. My family has its own version of this story, which I share with new evidence from my research into the original historical sources.
In spring 2021, my father, Steve Casely, and Iretraced the last part of the ill-fated route of Dr Helby from Cherrybrook Bridge to Postbridge. It was around the time of the 100th anniversary of the motorcycle accident that fatally wounded the Dr and injuredhis two young passengers. The sounds of the landscape and the Cherrybrook River flow hauntingly along with us, interspersed with my retelling of the incident and the newspaper reports of the time.

My guest this time on the fairy whispering podcast is clairvoyant and fairy godmother Debbie Clayton, who lives in Cornwall, England.
Debbie shares her adventures helping others to connect with the fairies, from hosting parties at her fairy grotto, reading fairy tales on the airwaves, and welcoming visitors to her tree house, complete with a fairy door and mine shaft full of pixies below! Her fae experiences include hearing fairy chatter, unexplained knocks, sparkling lights in her garden and stepping through a portal, whilst on holiday in the US.
We also discuss the yearning we have for enchantment and how to introduce some fun in our day to day lives. This was a truly uplifting and inspiring conversation with lots of laughter too. We seemed to attract the attention of the fae too, with some possible orbs appearing around me. I hope you enjoy!

In this episode, I chat with Rachel A Blackwell, an illustrator and mural artist from the UK. She calls the enchanted realm that her paintings are based within the Ethereal Earth. Rachel shares about her connection to the land and a life-changing event that opened her up to some beautiful realizations and fae experiences.

Whilst receiving sound healing at a special retreat centre, Rachel overheard three female faeries discussing her life! We talk about who these fae could be and what they were saying about Rachel and her life. Plus, we discuss Rachelās connection with nature, dragons and her discovery of a special fairy door in woodland, whilst she was searching for a tree staff. My conversation with Rachel was both moving and uplifting and I will bring some hope to anyone struggling at this time. I was moved to tears during this conversation, so have your hankies ready!
