Your greatest strength in dating is your personal brand – the messages you put out into the world, the images you convey, your tone, style, and vibe. Every aspect about how you show up either attracts people – or not. It’s time to think about your Dating Brand.
Launching yourself into the dating world is like launching a business. You have to be clear about who you are, what you want, and why it matters.
As a brand strategy coach for many years, Nancy helps business owners find their voice, tell their stories, and attract their audience. Now she’s applying the same principles to dating in midlife.
Your Dating Brand starts with your profile, but it extends to the conversations you have and the energy you bring to dating. When you start showing up with intention, everything shifts. You're no longer chasing validation or stuck in surface-level small talk. Instead, you're attracting people who align with the truth about who you are and the love you’re ready to receive.
Ready to build a Dating Brand you’re proud of, and manifest the love you deserve? Tune in to get started!

Take this as your invitation to pause, reflect, and ask yourself a few questions, like: “What am I really looking for in love?” “Is the way I’m dating aligned with my vision?” And most importantly – “Am I the one standing in my way?”
Because it’s not just the ambiguities of the dating apps, the confusing texts, or even the ghosting. It’s also the emotional weight you carry. The unrealistic expectations. The habit of clinging to a “type” or trying to be what someone else wants instead of honoring what you actually need in love.
Dating in midlife isn't about chasing old dating stories, or finding someone to complete you. It's about honoring the version of yourself you've worked so hard to become.
In Episode 67: What Are You Really Looking For in Love?, I’m getting honest about:
Why dating can feel exhausting (especially in midlife).
The sneaky emotional patterns that keep you stuck.
How to realign your actions with your values, and shift your dating experience for good.
This episode is a loving reminder that you don’t need to work harder at dating. You just need to start dating differently.
✨ If you’ve been feeling heavy in your search for love, this one’s your reset. It’s time to date in a way that actually feels good, and is aligned with what you want, instead of doom swiping your way into giving up entirely.

Join us for a transformational women’s retreat at Love Camp! For women in midlife who want deep connections, real confidence, and a love life that actually feels good. ✅ https://findinglove.co/love-camp-retreat/
Let’s take a look at this season of White Lotus and see if we can spot all the relationship red flags! We all love a good love story, full of cinematic whirlwinds. But what if the love story you’re telling yourself isn’t real? What if you’re falling for an idea rather than the actual person?
Season 3 of White Lotus (in addition to being incredibly fun to watch) is shining a light on a pattern so many of us fall into in midlife dating: fooling ourselves into mistaking fantasy for love.
When we crave romance that feels like a movie, we risk ignoring red flags, rushing into relationships, or clinging to an illusion that’s never going to last. I’m unpacking a few of the biggest relationship red flags from this season, and how they can hold a mirror up to our own patterns.
I’m breaking down:
Why turning a blind eye to someone’s true personality is a great way to build a completely inauthentic partnership (Victoria and Timothy). How getting caught up in fantasy-driven love will lead you down a dark path (Chelsea and Rick). How friendships can be a minefield of past hurts and betrayal, especially when no one does the hard work of having honest, direct conversations (Jacklyn, Laurie and Kate).A few key shifts that can help you move from fantasy and delusion to real connection and romance. If you’ve ever held onto a relationship because of its potential, overlooked signs and ignored your gut instinct, or found yourself chasing chemistry over compatibility, tune in.
And if you’re ready to tell yourself a new love story and manifest the life you truly deserve, join me for four transformational days at my women’s retreat in Leavenworth, Washington, this April 23-26. Let’s do the work to unlock deep, lasting love in midlife TOGETHER!

When we talk about relationships, romantic love often takes center stage. The search for a soulmate. Finding “the one”. But true friendships and family bonds are deep connections too, and just as important, especially in midlife.
This big truth hit me on a recent trip back to my hometown of Cleveland, where I stayed with my childhood best friend while taking care of my elderly mother. Between the bestie laughter, nostalgia, and endless conversations, I was reminded just how much our friendship bond has shaped us, grounded us, and sustained us through every stage of our lives.
It’s easy to get caught up in the idea that love only means romantic partnership and finding that one person you’re looking for to fill so many roles in your life. But we need to remind ourselves that the true-blue friendships we nurture and the family bonds we lean on are just as essential to our happiness, growth, and wellbeing.
In midlife, these connections become more powerful than ever before, because they offer the kind of support that can’t be replaced. In this episode, I’m sharing what my trip home taught me, and how we can all be more intentional about nurturing meaningful relationships in our lives.
If you’ve been feeling disconnected in any way, this conversation is for you. And if you’re ready to build those bonds in real life, Love Camp is the perfect place to do it. Join me this spring for a women’s retreat designed to bring you closer to yourself. This is going to be an intimate experience of personal coaching and deep discussion about what truly matters in our lives. Only one VIP spot left — grab it here.

Ever felt the need to tone yourself down to be loved? Ever been told you’re intimidating, opinionated, or just “too much”? Most strong, confident women have heard these criticisms at one time or another. Remember this: You don’t need to shrink yourself down to fit someone else’s idea of desirable.
We’ve heard it all before. We’ve been told we are too extroverted, too independent, too confident, “too much” to be loved.
But here’s the truth: The right person won’t be intimidated by you. They’ll be inspired by you. Energized and excited by you. Overjoyed to get a chance with you. And as for those who are frightened away by their own insecurities? Bye!
If you’ve ever worried that your big personality is a barrier to love, this episode is for you. We’re unpacking the myth of being “too much” and why the right match will see your bright light as a gift, not a threat.
For many women dating in midlife, the fear of being “too much” is rooted in outdated narratives that have told us to quiet down and dim our light. We’ve been conditioned to believe that our confidence is a turnoff, our success is intimidating, and our strong opinions makes us less desirable.
This episode is your remind that you deserve a relationship where you can be fully seen, heard, and valued. A partnership in which you are authentically YOU.
Because you are not too much. You just haven’t met the person who can handle everything you bring to the table—and celebrate it.

If you're dating in midlife, you probably have some old patterns and habits that don't really serve your best interests. Let’s talk about the three big mistakes that can hold you back from finding love, and how to avoid them.
Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Investing your heart in one person too early can cloud your judgment and narrow your choices. It's possible that the reason you're going “all in” so fast is because you're approaching midlife dating with a scarcity mindset. Keep your options open by chatting with and dating multiple people for a while. Have some fun, play the field. You'll gain the experience, information, and clarity you need about what (and who) is truly right for you.Don’t fall for future casting. It’s great when someone plans ahead for dates, but be cautious if they’re planning years in advance or talking about a whole future together before really getting to know you. The future unfolds slowly for a reason! We’re meant to savor the experience of getting to know each other and ourselves. So learn to enjoy taking it slow. On the flip side, beware of people who never make plans in advance and only reach out for last-minute hookups. This is immature, frivolous behavior and you deserve better.Don’t ignore your instincts. Your gut knows when something isn’t right. Even if someone looks great on paper or something about them just stirs your interest, pay attention to how their words and actions make you feel. Ignoring red flags will take you down detours that waste your time…and don’t forget, time is your most valuable asset!Dating after 40 is about finding meaningful connections that align with your life and values, not getting sidetracked by meaningless distractions. Tune in to learn how to stay mindful, intentional, and open to the love you deserve!

Valentine’s Day is filled with showy displays of affection, but the essence of this day isn't about flowers and chocolates – it’s about the uplifting energy of love, and that starts with YOU.
When you're dating in the middle of life, it's important to put some rituals in place to nurture your own spirit, and maintain the clarity and confidence you need to find the love you deserve.
Ever show up on a date feeling frazzled, or walk away from the date feeling unsure about how it actually went? Like you may have missed some red flags or even overlooked the green ones?
In this episode, Nancy talks about how to bring the right energy to dating so that you are fully present and grounded, and so that dating in general feels like a joy-filled adventure of possibility, not a dreary chore.
Nancy shares some pre-date rituals that put you at ease and help you feel confident! Think meditating, journaling, and curating a feel-good playlist.
And after the date? Your ritual can be all about reflection, so that you don’t let fleeting impressions or rose-colored glasses steer you in the wrong direction.
The key takeaway? You are allowed to want love. You don’t have to justify it, shrink yourself, or “should” your way through it. Own what you want, say it out loud, and invest in finding it!
This Valentine’s Day, be your own Valentine first. Take care of yourself, love yourself, and step into midlife dating with joy.
It’s time to shift your dating mindset and bring the energy that attracts the love you deserve.💌 Want to feel more prepared on your midlife dating journey?

What if the biggest thing standing between you and the relationship you want isn’t the dating apps, the wrong matches, or bad timing—but your own mindset?
Nancy is joined by Sarah Centrella, master manifester and bestselling author, for a conversation about breaking through emotional and energetic blocks to finally call in love.
The last time Sarah was on the podcast, she was convinced she’d meet her person in a classic “meet-cute.” She had a fixed idea of how love should happen, which led her to overlook red flags and miss real opportunities. But with Nancy’s push, she decided to do the inner work, shift her approach, and embrace new ways of dating—including the apps she once avoided.
For so many people, there’s a bit of pushback when it comes to dating in midlife. The key is to energetically prepare yourself for love by opening your heart and mind.
In this episode, they break down why past heartbreak can keep you stuck, how to recognize when you’re unintentionally blocking love, and why the fabled spark isn’t always the best indicator of a lasting relationship. Sarah also shares her favorite manifestation tool, #FutureBoards, and how visualizing your dream partner can help bring them into your life.
If you’ve been feeling frustrated with dating, this conversation will give you fresh hope, a new perspective, and practical tools to open your heart to what’s possible.

How to keep momentum when dating feels like a chore —
Nancy shares two stories of coaching clients and their struggles with dating apps, losing interest, and feeling like the whole process is a waste of time. The solution? Treat your dating journey like a project, with persistent effort over time. Small, intentional actions add up to big results!
Don’t let self-sabotage hold you back —
Taking rejection or slow progress personally can lead to a crushing wave of self-doubt. Just remember, these dating experiences are never a reflection of your worth or lovability. Once you let go of this mindset trap, you can move forward with clarity and confidence.
Why the long game matters in midlife dating —
It’s possible to embody a relaxed approach to dating. Nancy shares how one of her clients is taking her time, with no urgency, and embracing every step at her own pace.
Finding Love doesn’t need a stressful deadline, and this episode explores how to shift your mindset to prioritize self-discovery and intention.
If dating in midlife feels overwhelming or unproductive, this episode is your guide to regaining focus, staying motivated, and embracing the process.

Ever been on a date where all they could talk about was their ex? It's a huge red flag but there are ways to side-step the conversation and get it back on track.
In today’s episode, Nancy reads a listener’s email about a first date who couldn’t stop talking about his ex, and how this is a surprisingly common scenario in midlife dating.
At this stage of life, it’s likely that many people you meet have been married, divorced, or even widowed. While sharing life stories is naturally part of building a connection, first dates should JUST be about getting to know the person in front of you, not rehashing a painful or dicey past.
Nancy shares her real-life insights on how to spot red flags on dates and her top tips for handling uncomfortable conversations about exes. It’s not about being cold or uncaring about the other person, it’s about maintaining healthy boundaries and avoiding trauma-dumps on the first date!
Drawing inspiration from her friend and renowned relationship therapist Dr. Laura Berman, Nancy explains how to navigate these tricky conversations with compassion while still protecting your emotional energy.
If you’ve ever felt like the “fixer” in relationships, always smoothing over awkward moments or taking care of everyone else’s feelings before your own, Nancy shares her own experience with breaking that pattern. Never forget that your boundaries matter, and a healthy connection starts with mutual respect.
Tune in for advice on how to stay authentic, maintain balance, and focus on the here and now when you’re dating after divorce or a certain age. You deserve a relationship that moves forward, not one stuck in the past!

What does it really take to get ready for love in midlife? How do you shed what’s not working and embrace what’s next? Nancy introduces Part 1 of her personal framework: Five Pillars for Finding Love. This is about more than swiping apps or dreaming of "the one"—it’s about getting ready to manifest true love.
Pillar #1: Vibrance. Reignite your spark and be radiant, in every way you can. Nancy shares how she transformed her fitness and her zest for life after getting stuck in a rut and recovering from an injury. Feeling physically and emotionally strong and confident can be the key to attracting the right connections. Remember: Energy is everything.
Pillar #2: Romance. Nurture your romantic spirit. Too often we forget to prioritize ourselves. Are you treating yourself the way you’d want a partner to treat you? Nancy talks about the power of creating a sensual environment for yourself, celebrating your feminine energy, and keeping your heart and mind open to love. Remember: Love yourself first.
Pillar #3: Community. Love stories don’t happen in a vacuum. Strengthening your connection to your friends and family, and meeting new people whenever you can, will not only make you feel better—it will increase your chances of meeting someone special. Remember: Everyone you love is part of your love story.
Let your experience of dating in midlife be about tending to the life you want to create. The Pillars aren’t just about relationships, they’re about building a foundation of vibrance, romance, and connection that benefit every part of who you are.
And these Three Pillars are just the beginning. In next week’s episode, we’ll be sharing two more!

Nancy’s husband David dips in for a candid conversation about what you need to find your person and make a relationship thrive in midlife. If you've ever wondered whether the insta-chemistry is everything, whether age gaps make a difference, or how to move beyond your relationship history—this episode is for you!
David and Nancy share their dating journey, from swiping on Hinge to learning each other’s communication styles and building lasting love. They get real about how they navigated everything from dating apps to commitment fears.
Here’s the midlife dating myths we’re covering in episode 50:
— “You need an immediate spark” – David shares why compatibility matters more than an instant connection, and his belief that attraction needs the time and space to grow.
— “You bring your dating history into your current love life” – Nancy and David reveal how they’ve learned from their past without letting it define their present.
— “Middle-aged men aren't looking for commitment” – David gives a man’s perspective on that dating myth, making that case that midlife men want love and commitment just like women do.
— “Men want younger women” – David breaks this myth down, sharing how true connections in midlife are about emotional depth and shared values—not just age.
If you're ready to challenge the old stories and worn out myths that are keeping you from finding love, this episode is a must-listen. Whether you’re just getting back into the dating scene or you’re ready to take charge of your love life, Nancy and David’s candid advice and shared experiences will inspire you to rethink what’s possible.💌 Want to feel more prepared on your midlife dating journey?

Don’t underestimate the power of NO, especially when it comes to dating. If someone is the wrong fit, call it. And if someone ignores, ghosts, or just leaves you hanging, you can reclaim your power with one simple strategy.
Some of the biggest concerns about dating in midlife are how to stay true to yourself, remain in control, and not settle for less than you deserve. In today’s episode, Nancy talks about common dating mistakes, reminding us that they are just part of the story—not the end of the road.
Dating in midlife isn’t a scarcity-based game of musical chairs, so don’t give in to internal pressure to make the "wrong" person "right"—that is the fastest way to self-sabotage on your search for love. Recognize when a relationship isn’t a genuine fit, and remember, if you don’t find anyone this round, there are more chances to come. Think of dating as your opportunity to find connection without the need to settle.
For anyone who’s been ghosted or ignored, Nancy shares how to reclaim your power and shift the narrative. She shares a personal story about learning that “no response” is a decline, and emphasizes that calling it out and having the last word can empower you to move forward without feeling left hanging. Her approach is about empowered self-respect—an essential asset at any stage of life.
Nancy also talks about staying curious and authentic in the dating world. Experimenting with different facets of your personality is great if you stand firm in your values and don’t lose yourself in the process. Flexibility is a virtue, but holding to your core identity is non-negotiable!
