  • Our guest host Rebecca Devonas from Scripture Central travelled to Madrid to meet with a group of local Spanish Latter-day Saints from all different walks of life to see what they thought of the most recent General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints..

We do this every 6 months, and this is the fourth time, as I love to see what insights others had from watching, what hearing from living Prophets and Apostles means to people and how the Church is spreading globally.

Some highlights from this episode include their reactions to President Nelson’s remarks, how the Church began in Spain, and a great discussion about how they celebrate Easter following on from Elder Stevenson's talk.

I wanted to speak to Eric after the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' focus on improving our Easter celebrations and traditions as a faith.

Some highlights from this episode include how Trevan inspired his whole Stake to adopt his family's Easter celebration, a rundown of each day in Holy Week, and Trevan's reaction to President Dallin H Oaks' Easter message on the Church's social media pages.

  • Don Bradley is an author and historian specialising in the beginnings of the Latter-day Saint restoration.

I wanted to speak to Don in line with the 195th anniversary of the publishing of the Book of Mormon, it's always so fun to learn about Don's Book of Mormon insights - it challenges me to ask more inspired questions in my Book of Mormon study.

Some highlights from this episode include why the Book of Mormon is so intellectually and spiritually satisfying for Don, Don's realisation that key dates in the Israelite calendar match perfectly with key Book of Mormon publishing dates, and how Don learned about the Temple Endowment from the account of the Jaredites in the Book of Mormon.

I wanted to speak to Lynda in the build-up to the Easter season about what we as Latter-day Saints can learn about Jesus Christ and the Gospel from the ancient Jewish feasts and festivals.

Some highlights from this episode include why Lynda loves to study Judaism, why Latter-day Saints in particular should pay attention to the Passover, and the symbols in the festivals that teach us of Jesus Christ.

I wanted to speak to Andrea and Peter Jon to learn of the advantages of those who are married in comparison to those in other situations such as cohabiting and why the sometimes-labelled 'archaic' setup of traditional marriage still holds up in the 21st century.

Some highlights from this episode include whether or not polyamory is just an Internet fad, whether or not marriage actually is in active decline, and why you should prioritise marriage even if you aren't religious.

  • Geoff Heath-Taylor is an architectural historian, writer, and co-host of The Country House Podcast.

I wanted to speak to Geoff, who is a devout Christian, about the links between faith and architecture, as well as how the two have connected throughout history.

Some highlights from this episode include how the layout of a worship space impacts behaviour in worship, how sacred buildings act as a living testimony, and Geoff's favourite religious buildings.

  • Rachel Gilson serves on the leadership team for theological development and culture for Cru, and is the author of Born Again This Way: Coming Out, Coming to Faith and What Comes Next as well as Parenting Without Panic in an LGBT Affirming World: Discipling our Kids with Jesus’ Truth and Love.

I wanted to speak to Rachel after reading some of her brilliant writing about reconciling faithful Christian discipleship with same-sex attraction in a hyper-sexualised society where sexual preference is constantly discussed. I love how Rachel speaks on this topic and feel that she brings an important perspective to the table.

Some highlights from this episode include how Rachel converted to Christianity after being a staunch atheist, how to parent children about LGBT issues, and the helpful and unhelpful ways Christians discuss these sensitive issues.

  • Dr. Justin Coulson is co-host of a prime-time television show in Australia called Parental Guidance where he provides expert parenting advice. He is the founder of happyfamilies.com.au and the Happy Families podcast. He earned his doctorate in psychology from the University of Wollongong.

I wanted to speak to Justin to hear how the Gospel has influenced his work and family as a leading parenting expert.

Some highlights from this episode include how to help a child navigate a faith crisis, how Justin got into parenting after being a radio DJ, and why being still is so important in parenting.

  • Loren Dalton is a former Mission President and Mission Presidency Counsellor who wrote the book, 'You Are Receiving Revelation, Now Act On It.'

I wanted to speak to Loren to hear stories and guidance on how the Holy Spirit works in our lives and to understand his view that we receive constant revelation. I loved this interview and the time went so quickly.

Some highlights from this episode include powerful stories about the real-time impact of spiritual promptings, why Loren's missionaries felt they'd never received revelation, and how you should respond when you feel a heavenly 'bing'.
