1990 LPGA Championship winner, Beth Daniel looks back on her late wins on tour including her final victory at the 2003 BMO Canadian Women’s Open where, at age 47, she became the oldest winner ever on the LPGA Tour. Winner of 33 LPGA tournaments, Beth Daniel recalls what life was like traveling the country as a tour rookie. Beth recounts her first wins, first in Japan and then in the U.S. at the 1979 Patty Berg Classic. She shares her experiences with some of the early greats in the game like Kathy Whitworth, Judy Rankin and others. Beth talks about her first bout of the yips, what she did to overcome this and the “Zone” she was in winning 11 events over a span of 13 months in 1989 & 1990. World Golf Hall of Fame member Beth Daniel begins her life story by recollecting her days growing up in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Thanks to her supportive golfing parents, Beth was introduced to the game at age 6 and benefited from fine teachers at her home club like Masters Champion Henry Picard. She won the U.S. Women's Amateur in 1975 and 1977 and in between, was the medalist in 1976. Playing for Furman University with the likes of Betsy King, Sherri Turner and Cindy Farro, Beth and her teammates won the AIAW Championship Team title that same year. She also competed on two winning Curtis Cup teams, going 7-1 in her matches. Beth Daniel, the 1977 Broderick Award winner as the nation's best female collegiate golfer, shares her early years, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Forty years after his Open Championship win at Royal St. George’s, Bill “Buck” Rogers takes us through his major championship experiences, including that victory in 1981 when he was the PGA Tour Player of the Year and winner of seven events around the world. He gave David Graham a run at Merion in the 1981 U.S. Open and was in the final group with Tom Watson at Pebble Beach in 1982. Ben Crenshaw had to talk him into playing the British Open and he almost missed his tee-time in the first round. Facing adversity on the final day, he recovered from a double on the 7th to make that famous walk to the 18th green to claim the Claret Jug. Hear how the obligations that came with being a winner ultimately extinguished Bill’s passion for the game as he tells us his life story, “FORE the Good of the Game”.

Winner of the Open Championship at Royal St. George's in 1981, Bill Rogers was likely the hottest player on the planet that year. Join us as he reflects on his start in the game, his time at the University of Houston, competing in the Walker Cup at Brookline and the tremendous pressure of Tour School 1974. Bill recalls making the Top 60 in 1977 as being much more "emotionally satisfying" than his first Tour win at the Hope the following year. Hear about his days with IMG, traveling the world, chasing the "Buck", which led to burnout and a loss of his passion for the game, later in his career. Dame Laura Davies looks back on her experiences in each of the major championships and her one regret, not ever closing the deal at the Nabisco Dinah Shore at Mission Hills. Laura holds records in the Solheim Cup for most appearances as a player (12) and most points scored (25) beginning with the inaugural event at Lake Nona in 1990. She has also served as Vice-Captain three times including the upcoming event in 2023. Many will remember her victory in the first U.S. Senior Women's Open at Chicago Golf by a whopping 10 shots where she made it fashionable to hit driver off the deck. We recount Laura's many honors and awards including her induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2015, a ceremony she unfortunately missed. The all-time leader in wins on the Ladies European Tour with 45, Laura Davies recounts her final three major championships (the 1994 LPGA, the 1996 LPGA and the 1996 du Maurier) as well as many of her career wins from 1989 through 2001. She also recounts her experience as the first women to compete in a men's European Tour event (the 2004 ANZ Championship and a men's Euro Senior Tour event (the 2018 Shipco Masters). World Golf Hall of Fame member, Laura Davies, recalls learning the game by tagging along with her brother and his friends growing up in England. Self-taught by mimicking some of the greats of the game at the time (Ballesteros, Woosnam, etc.), Laura's game developed quickly and she was selected to play in the Curtis Cup at Muirfield in 1984. She turned pro the following year and had the first of her 87 professional wins in 1985 at the Belgian Ladies Open. Laura recounts some of her other early wins including the 1986 Women's British Open at Birkdale (before it was a major) and the 1987 U.S. Women's Open at Plainfield CC in an 18-hole playoff with two other HOFer's, JoAnne Carner and Ayako Okamoto. She concludes this segment by recalling some of the game's greats from the 1980's. Laura Davies, the winningest player ever on the Ladies European Tour, shares her memories of those early years, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Winner of the PGA Championship in 1996, Mark Brooks takes us through each of his PGA Tour victories beginning with the "Greater Slam", winning the Greater Hartford Open, the Greater Greensboro Open and the Greater Milwaukee Open in succession. He remembers when a $35,000 year in winnings kept him exempt in the top 125 and finding a Ray Cook putter in a garage that led to a win at the Bob Hope. Only two months later, that putter was history but he made everything with the Odyssey he put in play at the 1996 Houston Open just prior to his major win at Valhalla. Major Championship winner Mark Brooks recalls being introduced to golf by his grandfather and his first golf experiences playing on a 6-hole sand green course in rural Oklahoma. He looks back on his collegiate career at the University of Texas where he was a 3-time All-American and remembers the difficulties of making it on the Tour and staying on the Tour as he went in and out of Tour Qualifying Schools throughout the 1980's. Mark relates an unconventional technique used by Harvey Penick during one memorable lesson. He must have learned something useful as Mark holds the record for most starts on the PGA Tour with 803. Mark Brooks tees up his life story, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Legendary player and broadcaster Donna Caponi begins by recalling her final stretch of golf on the LPGA Tour that included 11 wins in 1980/1981 and her fourth major championship at the 1981 LPGA. Donna fondly recalls her opportunity to co-captain with Nancy Lopez for the victorious U.S. team at the Solheim Cup in 2005 and she shares her favorite memories from a 25-year golf broadcasting career as witness to some of golf's greatest moments. Four-time major championship winner and member of the WGHOF, Donna Caponi looks back on her early LPGA Tour wins and two of her majors, the 1970 Women's U.S. Open and the 1979 LPGA Championship. In between these two majors, Donna had 12 other victories including overseas wins at the 1975 Colgate European Open at Sunningdale, the 1976 Wills Qantas Australian Ladies Open at Victoria GC and that same year, the Japan Mizuno Classic. As she approached the 1980's, she was poised to finish her career with a flourish. Donna Caponi continues her life story, "FORE the Good of the Game."

World Golf Hall of Fame member Donna Caponi grew up in Southern California and learned the game from her father, a club professional at DeBell Golf Club where Donna received her first set of new clubs at age 8. She developed her game quickly and knew, by age 15, that she wanted to be a professional golfer. With no high school team to compete on and no plan to attend college, Donna turned pro at age 19 in 1965. She reminisces with Bruce about life on the road back in the 60's running with the likes of Marlene Hagge, Susie Berning and her early tour roommate, Judy Rankin. We conclude this episode with Donna recounting her first win on the LPGA Tour, the 1969 U.S. Women's Open, and her memories of Kathy Whitworth. We conclude our 7-part series with Bernhard Langer by looking back on his final two Senior majors including his win at the 2023 U.S. Senior Open at SentryWorld. He took down Wisconsin natives Steve Stricker and Jerry Kelly to capture his 12th major and his record-breaking 46th win on the Champions Tour, surpassing Hale Irwin's total by one. Bernhard was quite candid in this episode about his putting woes that plagued him throughout his career and give us insights into how he overcame the "Y" word. He provides a thoughtful response to our query aimed at understanding what has made him so great.
