Yesterday we started looking at how Christians are supposed to treat strangers (foreigners) in their land. Our focus was on the Old Testament and today I want to focus on the New Testament.

We often deal with protecting our nation against the ideology of Islam. I have often told you that we must separate the issue of Muslims, the people, the ones following the religion, from the Islamic issue. They really are two different issues.
Muslims, in themselves, are people, souls, that have been misguided, taught a lie, and they do what they do because of Islam. The problems we have with them is because of their attachment to Islam. Our real problem as a nation is with Islam. Islam is a dangerous ideology, it is against just about everything we in our country hold dear, freedom; faith in Christ, etc. are all a threat to Islam, and threatened by Islam. -

The question most often asked by Muslims concerning the deity of Christ is, Show me in the Bible where Jesus said I am God. They may present it this way, Jesus never said that He is God. This is a false statement. Jesus may not have used those very words, but He certainly communicated to the Jews that He was God at least five times. He communicated it so clearly that those who heard Him thought it was blasphemy for a man to make himself equal with God and wanted to stone Him. If Jesus were but a man, it would be blasphemy for Him to have made that claim. But, because He was God in the flesh, God who became man, not man who became God, it was not.

The subject for the last few days has been about the deity of Christ. Muslims believe that Jesus was just a man, and that He was not the Son of God. One of the biggest problems for Muslims is, how could Jesus be God and have died on the cross. The question is, How can God Die? This is a good question, and we must be able to answer it.

Today we are continuing with the series on defending our faith. Islam makes outrageous claims about or faith and our Bible. Islam teaches that Jesus is not God, that He was just a man, and that Christianity has made a God out of Him. The Islamic scholars have learned that, unlike in Muslim countries, in the West you can’t just make claims, you must support your arguments with facts. As a result, they are taking Scripture out of context, twisting it, and trying to deceive Christians to believe that the Bible teaches something other that what it really teaches.

The Bible teaches that God is one God, yet He is three persons. One of Islam’s greatest attacks on Christianity is the attack on the Trinity and the deity of Christ. Muslims not only deny Christ’s deity, they also deny that God is the Father. It is the only religion in the world that does this. There are those, like the Jehovah Witnesses, who deny the deity of Jesus Christ, but they do accept God being a Father. This is why I call Islam the Antichrist Religion. It is the only religion that fits with the five times the word “antichrist” is used in the Bible. All of them are in First and Second John.

Today I want to take the role of a Muslim who is trying to debunk the idea of the deity of Christ. A hallmark teaching of Islam is that Allah hath no son, and Jesus is not God. One of the first things they will do is say, show me in the Bible where Jesus says He is God. This is a great opportunity to take them into the Scriptures.

Yesterday we started a series of Christian responses to the accusations of Muslims against our faith. Islam is the Johnny-come-lately religion and is telling us that the religion that has been around for 2,000 years, and whose Scriptures began with the Jews, has been wrong. They tell us that their scriptures are superior to those of the Christians and Jews. They claim that the Bible has been corrupted, the Old Testament by the Jews and the New Testament by the Christians.

This week I want to talk about some of the arguments we, as Christians, must use when talking to Muslims. There are four major areas that Muslims often use as charges against Christianity. We need to know how to defend these for areas.

I want to share with you what I believe are the best arguments to prove that Jesus is God. It works with Jehovah Witnesses, Mormons, Islam, and any other ism that teaches that Jesus was not God manifest in the flesh.
Islam teaches the Jesus was just a man, a prophet, but just a man. It teaches that Christians have committed the greatest sin and blasphemy of all, shirk. This is making a man equal to God. Making a man equal with God would be blasphemy for Christians also. We do not teach that a man became God, we teach that God became a man. The eternal Word, Jesus, the Son of God, became flesh and dwelt among us. -
We have told you that the Qur’an doesn’t teach that the Bible is corrupt. It actually teaches that the Allah guarded the Scriptures that came before the Qur’an, which are the Old and the New Testaments. We must ask why the Qur’an says one thing, and the Muslims of today are saying something different. The answer is easy. The Muslims of Muhammad’s day couldn’t read or write so they couldn’t check out the Bible to see what it says and compare it with the Qur’an. Muhammad was, therefore, able to claim that his revelations agreed with the Book, the Bible. Today they can, and they can see the errors and that Muhammad was a con-man. For this reason, the Islamic clerics tell them that the reason for the differences between the Bible and the Qur’an is that the Bible has been corrupted.

Today we are continuing on the subject of the Muslim claim that our Bible has been corrupted. Yesterday we saw that, not only does the
Qur'an not teach such a thing, but it actually teaches that our Scriptures have been preserved. We also asked if Allah could not keep his first two revelations pure, how are we to believe that he could keep the third one pure? -
One of the problems here in America is that those who understand, those who come to our meetings, are over 50 years old. The younger generations don’t seem to be paying attention to what is going on. In central Europe, those who attend the meetings are mostly under 35. Those in central Europe remember the totalitarian system of the Soviet Union. They know tyranny, it is not an abstract concept to them. They view Islam as worse that Communism. That call it Communism with a god.

On today’s broadcast we had Dr. Bill Warner. He is the founder of Political Islam, and the author of important books on the subject of Islam. He was a college physics professor, and about 45 years ago he started looking into Islam. He started by looking at religious mysticism.

We have been talking about the ten steps to radicalization of Muslims. When these steps are followed, the person will become a militant jihadist. Not everyone has the courage to follow through. Most of the jihadis hide under the cloak of being a moderate Muslim. They have a public and a private face.
The sixth step is establish that Allah only rewards his faithful servants, and punishes the disobedient. This is important because Muslims have no guarantee of salvation without being obedient to everything Allah says to do. Allah very seriously punishes those who are disobedient, even with Hell. This means that if they want entrance into Paradise, they had better carry out everything, including jihad. -
Today we continue with the steps to the fundamentalization of a Muslim. We need to understand that the reason the militant Muslims do what they do is that they are doing what Islam and Muhammad teaches them to do. Yesterday we looked at the first three steps and today we will cover part 4 and 5.
Step four is establishing that the only way to contentment is to be fully submitted to Allah;s law, and will. They must believe that the only way there can be contentment in their lives, the lives of their families, and in society as a whole, is if they, and those around them, are fully, not partially, submitted to Allah and his law. Islam means submit, and Muslim means the submitted one. There are many who would have us believe that Islam means peace. They are just trying to deceive us. -
Since we see so many Islamic terrorist attacks around us we need to understand what is happening. How are these people being “radicalized?” Another question we must ask is; Are the things they are doing consistent with Islam, or are they, as the media and our political leaders like to say, “radicalized?” The use the term “radical” to say that this is a radical version of Islam and there is a peaceful version of Islam is false. They want us to believe that if we could just get the terrorists to buy into the peaceful version we wouldn’t have the problems with terrorism and terrorists. We need to understand that we have had these problems through all of the 1,400 year history of Islam.

This week we have played broadcasts I did with Shahram Hadian about a year ago. Today I had Shahram back on the broadcast live. I wanted to get Shahram back on the program because of the news coming out of Iran. Remember, he was born in Iran, raised as a Muslim, came to the West, found Jesus Christ, and is now a preacher of the Gospel. He still has family in Iran so I can’t think of a better person to turn to concerning what is happening over there.

Yesterday we looked at the proof of the accuracy of the Old Testament manuscripts. Today we will start by looking at the New Testament manuscripts.
There were no professional scribes. If you were a Christian that traveled, for example, from Ephesus to Philippi, you would probably take with you a copy of the letter written to the church at Ephesus. While you were there you would probably make a copy of the letter Paul wrote to the Philippian church to bring back to Ephesus. - Laat meer zien
