Episode Notes
The September episode of the GDUI Juno report is now airing on ACB Radio Mainstream, see schedule below.
This month we feature Rebecca Minelga, a certified first aid provider for both humans and dogs. Rebecca and Winnipeg, her tenth puppy from Guide Dogs for the Blind, demonstrate how to safely and effectively diagnose and treat a number of common dog first aid events. And you gotta love this picture; Winnipeg is obviously an old hand at this. So despite being muzzled, bandaged, having various body checks etc. Rebecca had a pretty tough time keeping her awake.
This was the feature presentation at the Guide Dog Users of WA State Fling in August. Even if you heard it as an ACB Community Event, you’ll want to hear it again to pick up the finer points of First Aid for your guide.
