In this episode, Happy Jack and Hanna talk about another layer of their uncoupling process.
We wonder if religion and spirituality have a placebo effect and we discuss the yogic concept called Prasanna, which suggests happiness is a birthright.
We dive into one of the Kleshas, the impediments or obstacles to happiness. In particular we discuss Abhinivesha which is the fear of death and the will to live.

In this episode, we discuss some insights Jack is working on regarding our relationship. We also bus the myth that says that Yoga Is Expensive.
In the Hot Seat today we have Happy Jack with some amazing reflections on the past year.
The Quote we read in this episode is this:
“I beg you, to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.”― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet

In this episode, we discuss the path we create with our choices as we step into the new year. Do New Year’s resolutions really work?
This is the quote Happy Jack shares in this episode:
“..where we are betwixt and between the familiar and the completely unknown. There alone is our old world left behind, while we are not yet sure of the new existence. That’s a good space where genuine newness can begin. Get there often and stay as long as you can by whatever means possible…This is the sacred space where the old world is able to fall apart, and a bigger world is revealed. If we don’t encounter liminal space in our lives, we start idealizing normalcy. The threshold is God’s waiting room. Here we are taught openness and patience as we come to expect an appointment with the divine Doctor..”
- Richard Rohr, Falling Upward

We discuss the dynamics of saying No and why it is so hard. Letting go of goals. Things, situations and people who “fall into our lap” when teaching yoga and otherwise. Embracing life, and hoping our kids (and we) keep falling madly in love with life. Teaching yoga at MIT and yoga festivals. What’s beautiful about aging? Is yoga a religious Hindu practice and when doing yoga, are we practicing Hinduism?
