Lauren is joined by her World & European Rowing Champion partner, Gregg Stevenson for this episode.
Shortly after joining the armed forces Gregg’s life was changed forever when during a deployment to Afghanistan in 2009. Whilst on foot patrol, he stepped on an explosive device losing both legs. Gregg shares his story of this moment and how he rebuilt his identity after having it stripped away.
In 2023 Lauren and Gregg joined forces to represent Great Britain in the PR2 mixed double sculls. Listen to them talk about building a successful partnership and their tales of training for the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.

Lauren sits down with British para-powerlifting record holder Liam McGarry to talk about how they both became disabled and how they used the pain of the trauma to create purpose in their lives.
Liam, a former rugby player, became disabled at 20 years old after a spinal injury, and has gone on to become a British powerlifting record holder, lifting an astonishing 230kg; the heaviest lift by any British para-powerlifter in history.

Lauren is joined by Tyrone Brennand along with a live audience at the Adidas London Studio to share his story of how fitness saved his life and took him from a dark path to becoming a successful business owner whilst teaching others to do the same. Despite being told that he would never succeed as a young person, Ty was determined to prove those people wrong. He went on to breakaway from gang affiliation and built his own personal training business training celebrities such as Maya Jama & Nathalie Emmanuel. On top of this Ty also decided he wanted to give back to other aspiring business owners like himself who needed a hand in starting their own business so he founded a mentorship programme called “Be The Fittest” which was later supported by the Princes Trust.

Lauren sits down for her first episode with the incredible Safiyya Vorajee to discuss the life and impact of her little girl Azaylia and how she built her resilience from the strength of motherhood.
8 weeks after giving birth to her beautiful baby girl Azaylia, Safiyya’s life changed forever after she received the news that no parent wants to hear that their child has a rare form of leukaemia and requires life saving treatment.
Despite this devastating diagnosis Safiyya quickly found the strength as a mother to help her baby fight this disease but also share her story on social media to help others who were fighting too. The strength of Azaylia and Safiyya touched the lives of millions so much so that they managed to break fundraising records to fund treatment for life saving treatment for the little girl. Despite Azaylia no longer being here on earth Safiyya continues the legacy of her little girl by founding the Azaylia Foundation where she helps fund life saving treatment and research into childhood cancer.
The impact and resilience of Safiyya is beyond belief and Lauren shares this emotional episode to show how we all can be powered by purpose and find the courage to help others in our darkest times.
