  • Lauren Bailey came to mental health therapy after a decade of working in politics and government in Washington, D.C. Their partner's coming out and their shared journey, first as a mixed orientation relationship and then as two queer people navigating separation, led Lauren to pursue a career as a therapist. Lauren is especially interested in helping folks with identity concerns, queer youth, mixed orientation relationships, polyamorous folk, and family members looking to be more affirming. They have spent three years writing and conducting research about coming out as a mixed-orientation couple and MOREs' experiences in therapy.

    In this episode Lauren and I dive into the spectrum of love and relationships from mixed orientation to polyamory.     The mission of the National Vulvodynia Association, a non-profit created in 1994, is to help improve the health and quality of life of women suffering from vulvodynia, chronic vulvar pain without an identifiable cause.
