  • Are you grieving someone who is still alive? Are you stuck in a season of long-term grief, sadness, or depression that just won’t lift? This message is for the person who has been mourning for far too long.

In this episode of Pure Surrender Podcast, Brittany Hall walks through 1 Samuel 15–16 and the powerful moment when God tells Samuel:

    “You have mourned long enough.”

Samuel grieved constantly for Saul — someone still living. And maybe you are grieving:

    • A relationship you never had

    • A parent who was emotionally unavailable

    • A friendship that ended

    • A job you lost

    • A season you can’t go back to

    • A person who is still alive, but no longer in your life

This is not a message for fresh grief.

This is for the person who has been dwelling in it for months… maybe years.

In this episode, we talk about:

✨ What it means to grieve someone still alive

✨ The Hebrew meaning of “mourn” in 1 Samuel

✨ Why God isn’t saying “get over it”

✨ What “fill your horn with oil” really represents

✨ How to move forward with God after prolonged grief

✨ Being used by God after heartbreak

    God still used Samuel.

And He can still use you.

If you’ve been living in a constant emotional state of grief, this message will gently guide you toward healing, purpose, and movement again.

  • If you’ve been feeling stuck—spiritually stagnant, emotionally exhausted, or trapped in the same cycles year after year—this episode is for you.

In this powerful episode of the Pure Surrender Podcast, host Brittany Hall shares a Holy Spirit–led message about breaking generational cycles, dismantling old foundations, and stepping into the new place God is calling you to. Drawing from Deuteronomy 1:6–8, we explore God’s loving command: “You have stayed at this mountain long enough.”

This episode speaks directly to those who have lived too long in survival mode—carrying biological family trauma, betrayal, grief, fear, or limiting beliefs—and are ready to heal with Christ at the center. Just as the Israelites were called to break camp, dismantle their tents, and trust God into the Promised Land, you are being invited to leave behind what no longer serves God’s purpose in your life.

    Inside this episode, you’ll hear:

    •What it means—biblically and spiritually—to “break camp”

•How old mindsets, family patterns, and learned behaviors can keep us stuck

•Why God sometimes asks us to dismantle what we’ve known before rebuilding something new

•How to trust God when you can’t see every step

•Reflection questions to help you step into healing, obedience, and freedom through Christ

This message is for the one who is tired of circling the same mountain.

For the one healing from generational trauma.

For the one learning to trust God instead of self-sufficiency.

For the one ready to move forward—even if it feels scary.

You are not disqualified by where you’ve been.

You are called, chosen, and invited into something new.

    It’s time to break camp.

    It’s time to move on.

It’s time to occupy the place God has already given you.

  • If you feel like you’ve been going in circles… waiting, wandering, or stuck in the in-between — this message is for you.

If God brought you out of a toxic family system, but the path forward feels confusing, long, or unfamiliar, you’re not alone — and you’re not doing it wrong.

In this episode of the Pure Surrender Podcast, Brittany Hall continues through Exodus 13, unpacking why God intentionally led Israel the long way after freeing them from Egypt. Even though the shortest road to the Promised Land was available, God chose a roundabout route — not to delay them, but to protect them, prepare them, and heal them.

This teaching speaks directly to those who have experienced family estrangement, emotional abandonment, manipulation, or generational trauma, especially when separation was necessary for safety, healing, and obedience to God. Through Exodus 12:51 and Exodus 13:17–18, Brittany reveals the powerful distinction between God bringing you out and God leading you forward — and what your role is in that process.

You’ll hear a deep biblical breakdown of:

•Why God sometimes removes us from toxic family systems but leads us through unfamiliar territory

•What it means that Israel left Egypt “like an army” — and later, “an army ready for battle”

•The meaning of the third, fourth, and fifth generations in Exodus 13 and Exodus 20

•How generational consequences differ from generational punishment

•Why separation can be God’s protection, not rejection

•How God prepares cycle-breakers to build a new, godly foundation

•What it looks like to trust God when the path forward isn’t the main road

If you were raised in a household without a godly foundation — or one that appeared godly on the outside but was damaging behind closed doors — this episode offers clarity, validation, and hope. You are not being punished for what your parents did. You are living in the consequences God is now redeeming — and you may be the generation He chose to heal it.

This message is for the one who:

•Has been brought out of toxic family dynamics but struggles not to go back

•Feels grief, confusion, or guilt over separation

•Is learning how to follow God without the old family structure

•Knows God called them out, but doesn’t yet see where He’s leading them

•Is ready to stop repeating cycles and build something new

    You are not lost.

    You are not behind.

    You are not abandoned.

    You are the cycle breaker.

    You are the fifth generation.

And God has already prepared you for this.

🎧 Listen, reflect, and be encouraged — even if the road feels longer than expected.

  • If God has brought you out of an abusive home, toxic family dynamics, or a long season of spiritual, emotional, or relational bondage, this episode is for you. In this episode of the Pure Surrender Podcast, we walk through Exodus 12–13 and reflect on how God leads His people out of slavery, cruelty, and suffering — not just to rescue them, but to heal them, re-orient them, and teach them how to remember what He has done.

Many believers struggle in the aftermath of deliverance. We love God, yet we carry grief over what we endured, confusion about what honoring God looks like now, and a quiet temptation to keep revisiting Egypt in our minds. In Scripture, God does something deeply compassionate: He tells His people to remember the very day He brought them out — not to relive the pain, but to mark the moment of freedom. He invites them to create rhythms of remembrance so they don’t return to bondage emotionally, spiritually, or relationally.

In this episode, we explore how remembering deliverance becomes part of biblical healing. We talk about grieving what you didn’t have, honoring the process of healing, and then gently shifting perspective: What if the day associated with pain is also the day God rescued you? What if that moment could become a sacred marker — a reminder of His mighty hand rather than your suffering?

This conversation is for believers healing from family trauma, abuse, or deep disappointment, who are learning how to move forward with God without minimizing their story or returning to what harmed them. Through Exodus, we see that God not only brings His people out — He teaches them how to live free, how to remember well, and how to celebrate deliverance even while walking through the wilderness.

You may feel like you’re in the in-between right now. But you are no longer in Egypt. God is leading you to a new place, and this episode is an invitation to begin seeing your story — and your freedom — through His redemptive lens.

  • If you have been suddenly removed, separated, or forced out of a relationship you never thought you’d lose, especially from your mother or father — this message is for you.

In today’s episode of the Pure Surrender Podcast, host Brittany Hall walks through Exodus 11–12 and Deuteronomy 22:6–7 to address one of the most painful and confusing questions believers face:

How do you biblically heal from a mother wound or father wound—especially when those wounds came from authority figures God tells us to honor?

Through the story of Israel’s sudden deliverance from Egypt, we explore how God sometimes removes His people quickly, unexpectedly, and without preparation—not as punishment, but as protection. Just as Israel was driven out of slavery in the middle of the night, many believers are forced out of toxic, abusive, or ungodly family systems they would have never left on their own.

This episode speaks directly to those who:

    • Feel guilty for creating distance from a parent

    • Are wrestling with honoring parents who caused deep harm

    • Are struggling to let go of what’s familiar—even when it’s unhealthy

    • Feel spiritually confused about boundaries, obedience, and healing

    • Are seeking biblical clarity, not worldly advice

Brittany also unpacks the often-overlooked command in Deuteronomy 22:6–7—“You may take the young, but let the mother go, so that it may go well with you and you may live long.” This passage offers powerful insight into how God defines care, protection, release, and prosperity—and how letting go can actually be an act of obedience.

    If you’ve ever wondered:

    • Was God involved in this separation?

    • Is it biblical to let my parents go?

    • Why did this happen so suddenly?

    • Can I heal and still honor God?

This episode will meet you right where you are—with truth, compassion, and Scripture.

🕊️ You are not being abandoned—you are being delivered.

🕊️ God does not rescue slowly when staying would destroy you.

Take time this week to meditate on Exodus 11–12 and Deuteronomy 22:6–7, and allow God to show you what freedom, healing, and prosperity look like in His care.

  • What do you do when you’re praying… believing… trusting God—and your circumstances don’t improve? What if things actually get harder? What if you don’t see any results at all?In this episode, we talk honestly about faith when nothing looks different—and how to keep believing God is still working behind the scenes.Using Hebrews 11, we walk through the lives of Abraham, Sarah, Noah, and others who trusted God without seeing immediate outcomes. Their stories remind us that faith isn’t about visible proof—it’s about believing God’s promises even when the waiting feels long and the silence feels loud.We also address the hidden disappointment many carry during the holidays—the grief, unmet expectations, unanswered prayers, and quiet doubts that can surface this time of year.We contrast Jeremiah 8, where the people sought healing apart from God and found none, with Luke 8, where a woman who suffered for 12 years reached for Jesus in faith and was immediately healed. The difference wasn’t effort—it was where her faith was placed. As Hebrews 11:6 reminds us:“Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.”This episode is for anyone who is:• Trusting God without visible change• Wrestling with disappointment or discouragement• Waiting on healing, breakthrough, or restoration• Choosing faith in the middle of uncertaintyGod is still working—even when you can’t see it.🎧 Listen in, be encouraged, and be reminded that faith is not sight—it’s trust.00:00 Introduction: Faith in Challenging Times00:20 Welcome to Pure Surrender Podcast00:58 Opening Prayer02:13 Scripture Reading: Hebrews 1102:31 The Meaning of Advent03:11 Hidden Disappointments During the Holidays04:22 Struggling with Faith in Difficult Circumstances05:51 Examples of Faith from Hebrews 1109:04 Understanding Faith Beyond Sight10:53 Trusting God's Plan13:20 Understanding Conviction and God's Guidance14:17 The Essence of Faith and Trust in God18:49 Faith in Times of Waiting and Uncertainty20:00 The Healing Power of Faith: Jarius and the Bleeding Woman22:32 Lessons from Jeremiah: Faith and Healing24:13 A Prayer for Faith and HealingSpotify — https://open.spotify.com/show/39Ope4PHKxHOueJhSZ7aTD Apple — https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/pure-surrender-podcast/id1836325555 Youtube — https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnyrk0VhLeDvclNjKzLGuoOxwHSk2xsRs Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/puresurrenderpodcast

If you’re in a waiting season, a healing season, or a surrender season, I pray this encourages you deeply. God is not done with you. He is doing something new, even if you don’t see it yet.

  • Since it’s Thanksgiving week, I wanted to share a scripture that I truly feel someone needs right now: 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 — “Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances…”

I know for many of us, this week isn’t all warm and cozy. The holidays can shine a big spotlight on what (or who) we’ve lost. Maybe this season brings up grief, broken family relationships, painful memories, or the ache of feeling alone. And if that’s you… I just want to say: I see you. God sees you. And you’re not the only one walking through this.

In this episode, we sit down together and talk honestly about:

✨ How to find gratitude when your heart feels heavy

✨ What being “thankful in all circumstances” really means

✨ Why it’s okay if joy doesn’t come naturally right now

✨ How to pray when you don’t know what to say

✨ What it looks like to hold onto even one small good thing

✨ Recognizing when something isn’t from God — and stepping away from it

✨ How God protects, comforts, and walks with you through hard holidays

This is a gentle, slow, comforting conversation — one filled with light, Scripture, and the reminder that you are a child of God, and you do not walk in darkness, even when life feels dark.

I also pray over you at the end — for peace, clarity, comfort, companionship, and the kind of joy only Jesus can give in seasons like this.

If this Thanksgiving feels heavy, lonely, or overwhelming, come sit with me for a bit. Let’s look to Jesus together, breathe together, and remember the good that’s still here.

  • If you’ve been in a season that feels heavy, confusing, or dark—this episode is for you. Today on the Pure Surrender Podcast, we continue our series on Light & Darkness and talk about what it really means to see God’s light in the middle of circumstances that don’t change.

I’m your host, Brittany Hall, and I’m so glad you’re here.

If you’re new, welcome! If you’re returning, thank you for joining me again.

Last week in Part 1, we talked about gaining a new perspective in Christ, even when life feels overwhelming. In Part 2, we go even deeper as we study:

✨ Isaiah 9:1–2 — “The people who walk in darkness will see a great light.”

✨ John 1 — Jesus as the Light the darkness cannot extinguish

✨ Genesis 1 — God separating light from darkness from the very beginning

In this episode, we talk honestly about what it’s like to walk through dark seasons, how the enemy tries to keep us replaying painful moments, and how God teaches us to turn the light back on in our hearts and minds. I also share two personal stories where God used literal, physical darkness to show me a spiritual truth—one about a power outage and one about a dimming bulb—and how He used both moments to speak directly to my situation.

    You’ll be encouraged to:

    • Fix your eyes on Jesus instead of the circumstance

    • Stop dwelling in the “land of deep darkness”

    • Allow God to change you, even if the situation stays the same

    • Recognize the light God has already placed before you

    • Separate yourself from what drains you and move toward what God is illuminating

Before we dig into scripture, we open with prayer—asking God to reveal His light to you, comfort you, and walk with you through whatever you’re facing today.

Whether your situation shifts tomorrow or remains the same, you do not have to stay in darkness. There is a great Light, and He is with you.

🙏 If you missed Part 1, make sure to watch that episode too—it lays the foundation for this series.

🙏 Join me next week for Part 3 as we continue exploring how God brings light into even the most difficult places.

    I love you guys.

    —Brittany ❤️

  • If you’ve been walking through a season of separation — from family, friends, or familiar places — and you’re wondering why God allowed you to grow where you did, this episode is for you. 🌾

In this powerful and tender message, Brittany dives deep into Matthew 13:24–30, the parable of the wheat and the weeds, revealing how God can grow something good even in the hardest environments. What if the pain, rejection, or betrayal you experienced wasn’t meant to destroy you… but to protect and mature you until the harvest?

Through Scripture, revelation, and her own story, Brittany shares how God separates what’s harmful in your life — not to punish, but to preserve you. This episode is a safe place for those who have:

•Grown up in dysfunction or difficult families

•Felt unseen or planted in hard soil

•Been in a season of loneliness, healing, or change

•Wondered why God allowed the “weeds” to remain

You’ll leave reminded that you are the good seed, deeply rooted in God’s love, protected under His covering, and chosen for a divine harvest that’s just beginning. 🌾✨

  • Have you ever felt like you let God down — and didn’t know how to come back from it? In this heartfelt episode, we dive into John 21, where Jesus meets Peter after his denial… not with anger, but with restoration. Through the powerful words “Feed my lambs, tend my sheep, feed my sheep,” Jesus reminds us that when we don’t know what to do next, He gives us direction, purpose, and grace to begin again.

This is for the one who’s trying to find their way back — who’s been forgiven but still wonders, “What now, Lord?” You’ll hear how the Holy Spirit gently guides us, how God uses our gifts even after failure, and how restoration leads to calling.

    ✨ You’ll be encouraged to:

•See how Jesus restores rather than rejects

•Understand the meaning behind “feed my sheep”

•Trust God’s Spirit to lead you when you’re unsure what to do next

•Walk in your purpose, healed and whole

If you’ve ever denied Him, doubted Him, or drifted away — this episode will remind you: God still has a plan for you. 💛

  • Grief has a way of leaving us empty, misunderstood, and searching for answers. Maybe you’ve prayed for something with all your heart, like Hannah in 1 Samuel, and it feels like God hasn’t heard you. Maybe you’re carrying the weight of loss, or waiting for something that hasn’t come yet.

In this episode, we walk through Hannah’s tears and prayers, and how God not only blessed her with a child but—more importantly—drew her closer to Himself. Her story reminds us that sometimes our situation doesn’t change right away, but God changes us. He meets us in the broken places, teaching us to “nurse” our relationship with Him first, and to let His presence be the comfort we’ve been aching for.

We’ll also lean into the promise of Revelation 21:4: a day is coming when there will be no more tears, no more pain. But even now, God holds you. He holds your child. He holds the pieces of your story, and He’s inviting you back—into His arms, His comfort, His peace.

✨ This is a message for the one who feels forgotten. For the one grieving in silence. For the one rededicating their heart and nursing their soul back to Him. You are not alone—God is with you.

    📖 Scriptures in this episode:

    •1 Samuel (Hannah’s grief and God’s faithfulness)

•Revelation 21:4 (no more tears, no more pain)

🙏 May this message bring you closer to the God who loves you, hears you, and is holding you even now.
