  • Welcome to Hellish, where we ask our guests for the five tracks they will meet in Hell.

Episode ten, and to celebrate our epi-decade we've got comedy producer MICHELLE FARR SCOTT to give us the five tracks that will torment her for all eternity. Michelle's CV is packed full of British comedy goodness, including Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, Life's Too Short, and Bluestone 42. She is currently Head of Scripted at RangaBee, which is Romesh Ranganathan and Benjamin Green's production company. We talk about football songs, the criminally cancelled Whites, and what it's like to be the person who has to stop actors messing about on set.

Find us on Spotify to hear most of the songs in Michelle's Infernal Playlist, as well as the Ultimate Infernal Playlist combining all our guests' choices.

Episode nine! We're welcoming actor and writer KELLIE SHIRLEY to Hell, to get the five tracks that will torment her for all eternity. Kellie is familiar to millions as Carly Wicks in British soap Eastenders, Kirsty in Idris Elba's In the Long Run, and currently Sophia in Casualty. In this episode, we talk about being immune to a certain boyband, what happens if you accidentally scoop yourself on an exclusive you've sold to OK! Magazine, and how narrative storytelling is literally going down the toilet.

Kellie has a new podcast drama out, which benefits the Children's Society. ROAR is available on whatever platform you are reading this message on. Go get it!

This week, Hellish is joining Kellie in supporting the Children's Society. We're giving you the chance to get the extended patreon version of the episode for $3 (two quid something in UK money). Every single penny we take will go to the Children's Society (we'll be covering the cost of Patreon's fees to make sure your money goes to the charity). You can buy the extended version of the episode at www.patreon.com/hellishpod/shop

Episode seven is archaeologist and TV presenter ERIN LLOYD JONES. Erin is well known to TV viewers in the UK, appearing on documentaries for Sky and Discovery, as well being a regular presenter on cosy Welsh rambling show Weatherman Walking. In this episode, we talk about Princess Diana's death, the later career of Terrorvision's lead singer, and what would happen if Erin found a dinosaur skeleton in a Welsh hill fort.

Episode six brings us to musician and composer IAIN COOK. Iain is one third of the band CHVRCHES and one half of new project Protection. We talk the Beano universe, what exactly the rules are when it comes to a song universally adored that you cannot stand, whether or not CHVRCHES ever ride around on BMX bikes with their names on their t-shirts, and the worst job Iain has ever done. We also reveal three more of Alex's Coldplay Connections in what we hope will not become a regular feature.

Episode five is the turn of Acting Coach, Teacher, and Director JAMES KEMP. James has taught at least one actor you think is awesome, including Tom Hardy, Emilia Clarke, and former damned soul Stephen Wight. As a coach, his clients include Dune star Rebecca Ferguson and Scroobius Pip of Distraction Pieces fame. James also co-runs acting studio/production company Effort Productions. We talk what will happen if England win the World Cup, exactly what Movement Psychology is, Michael Fassbender's frown, and the worst job James has ever done.

  • Welcome to Hellish, the show where we ask our guests for the five tracks they will meet in Hell.

In episode three, we torment Capital Radio's ALISTAIR JAMES. As well as being a top breakfast DJ, Alistair is also a singer and award-winning songwriter. He talks us through the five songs we'll be using to torture him for all eternity. We talk karaoke, the Welsh Eurovision Cân i Gymru, playing music you don't necessarily always like for a living, and of course the worst job Alistair has ever done.

This was one of the first episodes we recorded, at the end of 2023, and so some things have changed in the world since then. Also, we had a technical glitch and so the quality of Daniel's mic comes and goes. All perfectly listenable though!
