Welcome back to Friday Therapy, where Deli and Kate unpack "water finding it's on level" which Kate says is beautiful and not so beautiful. They chat about finding connection with friends when you are living under financial stress. How do you cope with not being able to do "fun stuff" with your friends when it costs money? How everything that makes you feel 'othered' also makes you feel lonely. And how loneliness is perhaps one of the great levellers in life, because we all have a lonely story. And can discharge be a good thing?

Kate chats with Briohny on today's episode. Briohny is the first in person guest in the pod laundry studio, and she talks about growing up with a sense of loneliness and how it has formed who she is. Bri is a legendary single mum, and she talks about the loneliness that can come from that. She is honest about the financial implications of the cost of living crises that can make you lonely. She also thinks loneliness has made her self-aware, given her empathy and believes she can do anything! The power of being happy to be alone and enjoying your own company. Kate and Briohny have a 2164 day snap chat streak and talk about how that has made them feel less lonely. As usual she answers the lonely podcast questions.

Welcome back to Friday therapy, where Deli and Kate chat watching TV shows they have already watched and still love. The concept of "getting your sh#t handed back to you", and what we do when our usual coping mechanisms aren't available. How do we "reconstilate ourselves" after big life changes? They chat about how refreshingly honest people were during lockdowns when we told people how crap we actually felt, and that made us feel less lonely. And they answer a listener question which is "why does a fear of failure have such a grip on me?"

Hello lonely hearts, Kate and Deli are back for Friday Therapy, they sit together and chat together about getting the washing off the line, power eating (not comfort eating), and reframing stuff. They talk about long distance friendships and living away from "home" and how that makes you feel. How do you find yourself when you have no reference point as to who you are?
The power of voice/video messaging when you are isolated, and you lose incidental contact with what you knew and was familiar. The tricky topic of being lonely in a relationship, and how we don't really talk about it. Deli talks about "phases of things" ... grief and much more, it's pretty interesting, so we hope you enjoy connecting with it.

Kym talks about sitting with loneliness and what it has taught her, about being lonely in a relationship and being lonely in a different culture. Enjoy her answers to the lonely questions, its a lovely chat xx
