  • EPISODE 11

I read somewhere a quote that went something like this: “Behind every strong person is a story that gave them no choice.” And truly, there are some people who manage to turn every single one of their struggles into something positive, who manage to stay truly happy even when things seem hopeless, and remain steadfast and loyal friends amidst their own life challenges.

And yet also in the same world, there are people whose one purpose seems to be to shatter everything someone has worked for, hoped for and lived for. To destroy years of work someone put into bettering themselves, their community and the world they live in. And more often than not, their reasons for taking away someone’s dreams are merely a reflection of their selfish, miserable and bitter lives.

Please join me as we explore the murders of Natalie McNally and her unborn son, Dean.

  • EPISODE 10

Dylan Rounds was a go-getter and wasn’t scared of working hard. He was born doing grain harvest. And rather than being someone whose family had to ask for his help when they needed it, he spent all of his free time farming. It was his hobby and Dylan had big plans for the future. Farmland in Idaho was too expensive, and Dylan didn’t want to wait, so Utah was the next best option. Dylan didn’t want to go work for a big farmer, he wanted to be a big farmer, and thought that this patch of land in Lucin had everything he needed to start his own farm - water rights, good soil that needed a little bit of work, and his own two hands.

But fate had different plans for this ambitious young farmer, and after he went missing in May 2022, his family started a big campaign to bring Dylan home and let the world know about his dedication to his lifelong dream.

  • EPISODE 9

When you’re a teenager growing up in a small town, your options for hanging out are limited. You can go grab some food, drive around or hang out at a friend’s place. Doors are rarely locked in small towns. Keys are left in the cars. Everyone knows everyone, after all. But what happens when all of that changes overnight? When your small town haven suddenly becomes the home of a predator of the worst kind, the one that preys on children? What happens when trails and forests and creeks that should be blooming and booming with the laughter of younger generations suddenly get soaked with blood of girls who just wanted to spend their day off outside, having fun?

  • Episode 8

Imagine traveling across the ocean with your sister. Imagine spending 3 months discovering and exploring the rich history of European cities, towns and villages. Imagine having the most perfect 3 months with the person who gets you, understands your habits and your sense of humor. Imagine arriving at one of the final destinations before returning home, having a walk with your sister, arranging to meet her for dinner, and then never seeing her alive again. Imagine coming back home to your family without your sister, and then waiting for her body to be flown in so you can bury her in her homeland.

And now, while the rest of us, thankfully, only imagined this scenario, one family actually lived it.

Please join me as we explore the disappearance and murder of Selena Margarit Graciano Macedo.

  • Getting married and starting a family is one of the most common life goals for people. They exchange vows, they start their lives together, then have children. Still, not everyone gets to experience the happy ending of growing old together with their spouse, or seeing their children start their own families. A big percentage of families are nowadays broken by divorce, the rates of which are higher than ever before in history.

But even divorce will seem like a wonderful option when you hear the story of the family we’re discussing today. The family that seemingly had it all - a beautiful marriage between two loving individuals, two children and a third one on the way, a house, security that most people can only dream of…

How then, do we go from there, to 3 members of this family being gone? What kind of a mask hides all the imperfections that were festering under the surface of a shiny, happy family life?

And even though this case was solved, was there more to it than what we were told?

Please join me as we explore the murders of Shanann, Bella, CeCe and Nico Watts.

  • Episode 5

It is said that one of the most terrible things a parent can experience is the death of their child. None of us become parents expecting it, all of us think, hope and pray that our children outlive us. And for the majority of parents, life works out that way. But for that small percentage who lose their children, life sometimes doesn’t seem worth living afterwards. Raising a child requires so much of you. Emotionally, mentally, physically, and yes - financially too.

Now, imagine 19 years of being a single parent, and then all of that being taken away in just one minute. The years of work raising your child into a person you’re proud of. The years of pinching pennies so that your child could have everything they need. The years of going through all the health scares, emotional changes, seeing your child experience first love, heartbreak and taking their first steps to adulthood… And suddenly it’s all gone. The life you created. The life you so dutifully cared for. The life that to you meant more than your own - taken by someone to whom it meant nothing.

  • Episode 4

When we think about murders, we usually imagine the unknown evil lurking in some dark, unknown space. We teach our children not to be trusting towards people they don’t know. Who among us hasn’t heard of stranger danger?

But, if we turn to results on the first page of a google search on this topic, we can find statistics from all kinds of different sources which all agree on one thing - that when it comes to murders, you are statistically less likely to be murdered by a stranger, and more likely to be murdered by someone you already know.

Today’s case will make you forget about stranger danger for a bit, and realize that the true monsters and evil doers actually, more often than not, live among us. Walk the same streets as us, shop at the same stores. Know the same people. They lurk behind the facades of happy family men, well known personalities and ambitious politicians. They are here, and we don’t know them. All we can do is hope that when their insatiable hunger for blood awakens, our paths don’t cross. Especially in the middle of the night.

  • Episode 3

Human relationships are a cornerstone of society. And even though every single one of us gets to experience them, most of us are still fascinated by them. People have studied them, written literary masterpieces about them, tried capturing them in photographs… They go so far into our collective history that they are a part of holy books, and some of the earliest proofs of civilization on Earth.

But learning how to navigate them is something that defines maturity, and even then, the relationships that come with an extra dose of emotions - like romantic ones, can leave even the most experienced humans baffled.

How does love turn into hate? Where exactly is that proverbial thin line between lovers and strangers? And what compels people who loved each other to hurt each other?

I can’t promise that today’s episode will answer any of these questions, in fact, it could actually leave us with more questions, but today’s case is a tale as old as time. Lovers who became strangers, but couldn’t leave their relationship behind. Until one of them was dead.

  • Episode 2

There is something about life in small communities that seems to either be inherently attractive to people, or completely unimaginable. Life in a small town or a village where everyone sort of knows each other, where silence is the only thing to be found on the streets after the supper has been consumed, where doors are locked only because it’s something that should be done, and not out of fear - is not for everyone. And yet there are people who have lived for generations in towns or villages, finding comfort in the staleness of events, finding fun in gossip that often runs rampant, and building their family nests amongst neighbors they didn’t really know, but somehow knew everything about them.

Our today’s case comes from a place like that. And this one hits particularly close to home, because it happened just a 15 minute drive away from my hometown.

It is a case that has, quite frankly, left me speechless. A case that sent the gossip mill into overdrive, and at the same time proved how dangerous the gossip mill can be. It is a gruesome case, one where the facts creep you out the more you think about them.

And in the end, it is also a case where justice was served, and even though it had a devastating end, it did eventually bring a long forgotten disappearance to a closure.

Today’s case is the disappearance of Jasmina Dominić.
