The way organizations handle digital identity is rapidly evolving and nowhere is this more visible than in Brazilâs booming Open Finance and Open Insurance ecosystems.
To explore how verified financial data can be transformed into reusable digital identity credentials, Dock Labs recently hosted a live podcast: How to Turn Open Finance Data into Digital ID Credentials and Connect IAM Silos.
The session was led by Nick Lambert, CEO of Dock Labs, and featured industry leaders shaping the future of identity in Latin America:
- AndrĂ© Facciolli, CEO of Netbr, a consultancy specializing in end-to-end identity management solutions that works with Brazilâs top 10 banks.
- Alan Kim Mareines, CEO of Lina, a technology provider delivering Open Finance and Open Insurance infrastructure across Brazil.
- Rodrigo Azevedo, Developer at Netbr, who built and presented the live proof-of-concept demo showing how Open Finance data can be issued as verifiable credentials and used across real-world scenarios like hotel check-ins or age verification at a pub.
Together, the panel explored the challenges large enterprises face with siloed IAM systems, the benefits of combining Open Finance with verifiable credentials, and the broader implications for user privacy, security, and business innovation.

Mobile driverâs licenses (mDLs) and mobile identity documents (mDocs) are rapidly moving from pilot projects to mainstream adoption. With more than five million mDLs already in circulation and half of U.S. states announcing plans to issue them, the identity community is asking an important question: what do these standards really mean for privacy, interoperability, and real-world implementation?
To explore these issues, we hosted a live podcast featuring two leading experts. Andrew Hughes, VP of Global Standards at FaceTec, has spent more than a decade shaping international ISO standards for digital identity, credentials, and biometrics. Ryan Williams, Program Manager of Digital Credentialing at the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA), leads the subcommittee responsible for translating ISO standards into North American implementation guidelines.
Moderated by Richard Esplin, Head of Product at Dock Labs, the conversation offered a rare opportunity to connect the dots between how the ISO standards are written, how they are being interpreted in practice, and what identity practitioners need to know as mDLs roll out worldwide.

At this yearâs European Identity and Cloud Conference (EIC), Richard Esplin, Head of Product at Dock Labs, delivered a session on one of the most pressing challenges in digital identity: How can we ensure that the person presenting a digital credential is really the one it was issued to?
His answer lies in the combination of verifiable credentials and biometrics. Used together, these technologies can give organizations strong assurances about identity ownership, while preserving user privacy and avoiding the pitfalls of centralized data storage.

ID verification providers often work in fragmented and siloed ways with no standardized approach to collecting and verifying customer identity information.
Each one relies on different data sources, data matching logic, and entity resolution techniques.
The result?
Conflicting views of the identities theyâre trying to resolve, creating challenges for businesses who must piece together different responses from multiple IDV providers and attempt to make sense of the conflicting data.
And for users?
Every time they go through onboarding with a new business, they have to provide the same informationâagain and againâdealing with the same friction each time.
But thereâs a better way.
Verifiable Credential technology is revolutionizing how businesses handle entity resolution and customer data matching.
It allows IDV providers to verify the same person across multiple businesses or siloed systems. This means you can confirm that a user has already been verified, creating a consistent view of their identity and slashing onboarding friction.
In this 1-hour session weâll break down:
đŻ How verifiable credentials can clean up the mess of entity resolution and data matching across businesses or siloed systems.
đ A live demo showing how verifiable credentials can reduce onboarding friction by improving customer data matching.
đŹ Plus, a live Q&A where you can ask anything.
If youâre tired of dealing with fragmented ID systems and want a smarter, more efficient way to match customers' data, this session is for you.
Letâs get things working like they should.
