If you know RMS Beauty, you know that the initials RMS stand for Rose-Marie Swift, a beauty industry veteran and longtime professional makeup artist who started her eponymous clean beauty line in 2009 (long before the term was widely used).
As a makeup artist, Rose-Marie’s 40-year career was long-admired for the glowing, naturally radiant makeup looks she created on some of the world’s most visible faces (Gisele Bundchen, Zoe Saldana, Miranda Kerr and Tilda Swinton to name a few). Her work has been featured in countless magazine covers, featured editorials, and brand campaigns.
As a beauty brand founder, she’s more than a pioneer, she’s a future-thinking trailblazer who started RMS Beauty because nothing else like it existed in the industry. After seeing her clients struggle with sensitivities to the ingredients found in most beauty products, she developed RMS using high-quality organic ingredients that are safe for all skin, while delivering professional quality and long-lasting performance. As Rose-Marie herself often says: “someone had to do it.”
After building the brand for over a decade, the CEW awarded Rose-Marie their 2020 Female Founder Award, acknowledging her as a beauty leader and inspiration. Today, RMS products are cult-favorites for those in the know, and with countless beauty awards, thousands of five- star customer reviews, millions of social media shoutouts (yes, even on TikTok), the once under-the-radar beauty brand—and Rose-Marie herself—is getting a new burst of well-earned recognition.
Rose Marie Swift is RMS Beauty, and RMS Beauty is Rose-Marie Swift, a brand that stands for clean beauty with zero compromises, meticulous ingredient selection, and a bright, continually innovative future. Masterfully made, beautifully clean.
