Quite frequently I (Hannah) feel overwhelmed by different things going on around me & the juggle of a beautifully full life. Just reading the news of the world or thinking about the level of suffering or HUGE need of so many - it can be A LOT! Jesus said āCome to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.ā Matthew 11v28.
There is a definite letting go that needs to happen on my partā¦ Like carrying a rucksack of worries to Jesus in prayer & then needing to leave them with Him, rather than putting the full backpack back on again. I find it really helpful to sing the old hymn āI surrender allā. āAll to Him my blessed (amazing) saviourāā¦ Weāre sooooooo grateful that we can āsurrender all to Himā. From my experience, things that are beyond my control need to be given to Him in prayer frequently - & practicing not worrying is something I need to keep working at!
Our prayer is that you encounter some of Jesusā peace as you use this to help you still yourself and your mind in prayer. Heās incredible at holding the tension of both pain & amazing hope together.Support the show

My heart feels a bit hardened from a few little conflicting situations around meā¦ (and generally being a parent of three, living and working in a wonderful community of 100+ that feels intense at times!) āOur fight is not against flesh and blood but against the powers and principalities of this dark ageā¦. ā Ephesians 6 v12ā¦
Itās soooo good for us to worship when we feel in the thick of it. Itās soo good for us to take our eyes of ourselves, look to Jesus & pour our affection on Himā¦. Being thankful, enjoying his presence. It feels like our minds and hearts get re-calibrated when we do this & we can be filled with a new sense of joy. Weāll need to consciously keep coming back to this through the dayā¦ but itās a great start!

Have it Allā¦
Ever feel like your mind is so full of so many things, issues, to do items, problems needing to be solved? This session was one of those days that my mind was so full - a little chaotic in truth & it felt like so many things I was ājugglingā were out of my control with a whole bunch of moving parts - making decisions really tricky. I had the privilege of working with āā @epiphanycollective that week, but one event with our local refugee community had been cancelled and we really wanted to do something that would serve those guysā¦ When singing, āwe lay our burdens downā whilst litterally visualising giving God (naming & handing over) this during this soaking session, my prayer was that He will take the burden off me & in His amazing way, make something work out. Over the years Iāve walked with Jesus, Heās sorted things out sooooo many times where it seemed impossible for me to do soā¦
This particular morning, litterally about 2 minutes after weād finished the session, my hubby said he was having a Zoom meeting with an old friend of mine (Rosanna Leal) who I hadnāt been in touch with for over a yearā¦ possibly more. Rosanna had contacted him about a project they needed his help for - for the first timeā¦. Long story short - I stayed in the studio for a minute to say hi to this amazing lady & she told me about their refugee cafe called āDove Cafeā in Bexhill - 2 minutes later , Epiphany had been invited to come and play āsound portraitsā for the refugees in the Dove Cafe in two days time.. God has an amazing way of working things out - in ways that we couldnāt have even thought of - orchestrating people to think of and contact eachother after years - opening up fab opportunities.
When we actively ālay our burdens downā before Jesus, He has an amazing way of sorting things out by giving us the wisdom or by intervening in an incredible way. How amazing that He loves to ācarry usā like this - caring about the smallest of details in our lives. SUCH a privilege to walk with Him in this way.

Psalm 24 has been super relevant in 2024 for us and so many others. I (Hannah) wrote a song based on this psalm a. While back. āWe seek Your face, come take Your place, King of Glory come in. Lift up you gates, we bow our heads, King of Glory come in.ā Les Moir helped write the song (Les is good friend of ours who has had extensive experience in shaping some very well known music from Christian worship leaders such as Marin Smith (Delirious), Mat Redman, Graham Kendrick etcā¦ such a gift to us too!)
We feel so strongly that we want to invite Jesus into the spaces in and around usā¦. As Iāve said before - we know Heās in us and through us alreadyā¦ BUT there is a sense that we want to welcome more of His spirit into our minds (transforming our sometimes warped thinking), into our heart and emotions - His peace, His incredible unconditional loveā¦ into our bodies where we are tired and weary. Our prayer is that we welcome Him more into our communities tooā¦ His love, his grace, His redemption - His Heavenly āorderā where there is chaos, anxiety & confusion.
We then go into one of my favourite worship songs at the moment āHoly Foreverā. An epic writing collaboration of Brian and Jen Johnson, Phil Wickham, Chris Tomlin and Jason Ingram!

Deeper FAITH in Worship & Spontaneous Soaking Meditation Live Studio Session
Hebrews 12:2: "Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith"
I couldnāt get this phrase out of my head when leading worship on Sunday. āCanāt take my eyes off Youā. There are so many Bible verses about fixing our eyes on God (Jesus mainly in the NT of course!). We are sooooo good a navel gazing arenāt we! BUT Itās really not great for us to be focused on ourselves or our own situations all the time.
Using something for escapism is one way to deal with thisā¦ OR much better still; meditating on Higher things or āeternal unseen thingsāā¦ 2 Corinthians 4:18 says: āSo we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternalā. That sums it up!
Thats wisdom right there. Escaping rarely changes our situation or our perspective, but āfixing our eyes on Himā literally changes the way we think, the way we feel and sometimes the whole situation changes too! LOVE IT! We love turning our attention to Him & pray that this session will help you to do just that too :)

Escape
āPsalm 91 v 1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty"
Quite often, in the business of life, I just want to escape to a quiet space (which isnāt always possible with work and the kids etc!)ā¦ but when we do these soaking sessions, it litterally feels like we are āhidingā in God. Psalm 91v1 says; He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Thats just itā¦ we all need to hide under the āshadowā or āwingsā of God sometimes. Itās also a state of heart / mindā¦. As we practice being still in the dedicated space, we can reach that āhiding placeā even in the business of the day. My prayer is that we can get so good at this!

I read this fab Bible verse the other day and knew I needed to sing it for this session:
Micah 7:7-8 (NIV version) āBut as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.ā
Whatever battle we might be facing, we can be assured that God will hear us and therefore we can āwatch in Hopeā. He might not answer in the way weād like or are expectingā¦ but He always hears and answers in one form or another.
Lamentations 3:25 says; āThe LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To those who seek Him.ā
I might start a soaking session feeling a bit rushed - weāve usually been up super early, going on a run, doing a load of washing, unloading the dishwasher, styling at least one or two of our kids hair, abiding to various other parent requests to help with booking school lunch or making lunch boxes, listening to our youngest readā¦ rushing them off the school buses andā¦ phewā¦ soaking time! Ha! But a few minutes in & we begin to relax, feel His peace again! I know I can āwatch with hopeāā¦ whatever the morning has been like, He will always LOVE that weāre looking to Him for an encounter. I can give our kids to Him & anything else on my mind too - in genuine hope that He will hear and answer me & ārunā to meet with me as I shift my focus from myself and situation to Him.
We pray that this session will help facilitate this same sense of peace & hope too. Do tell us if so!

Praise is Rising Up:
Psychologists agree with the scriptures that one of the best antidotes to poor mental health is gratitude. Praise is ultimately gratitude to God - not just for what Heās done for us (& we might not understand some of the tricky situations that weāre in)ā¦ but for WHO He isā¦. We have so much to Thank God for. Literally reading some of His character traits are amazing & deserve a whole bunch of praise, obviously the HUGE sacrifice of Jesus, the incredible creation, the fact that weāre alive and breathingā¦ so so much!
Psalm 141 v 2: says; āMay my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.ā This is my prayer too - that my praise & worship will āriseā to the throne soon of God and be like a sweet aroma to God.
All the while we worship, our intention is to bless HIM, but all the while, things shift around us too - we gain His perspective, we feel His peace, we receive His joy, I have even experienced supernatural healings or massive changes in physical circumstances within my life (& the lives of those around me).
I encourage you to praiseā¦ itās sooo good - especially when itās hard and we donāt feel like it. Itās even more beautiful to God when itās a sacrifice of praise.Support the show

Have mercy on us
This mornings session felt like a heavy one. I (Hannah) felt that we should focus on Pslam 51; King Davidās poem of repentance. There is so much crisis around us - so many systems that are deeply broken in our society - not just in the UK, but around the world. Sometimes we just need to sit in lament & ask for mercy.
I personally wanted to pray for mercy too - some attitudes & behaviours of mine need ātweakingā to say the least! Itās a horrible feeling when you feel convictedā¦ BUT itās amazing to know that God welcomes us with HUGE loving arms & forgives us when we come to him - knowing that we are made righteous - not through our own āgoodā, but through Jesusā righteousnessā¦ His giving of Himself on the cross means we can be saved from the consequence of our own wrongs - that Jesus chose to take the consequences of sin upon himself, dying with them & as he came back from the dead - He brings us into a new life too!
I decided to sing the whole of Pslam 51 (I didnāt realise how long it was until Iād got half way through š) You might notice Theade leaning over to me and saying that we needed to āmove onā - but I hadnāt finished the psalm so we had to push through to the glorious end lol!
We hope and pray that this will be used as a tool for your own lament over situations you are undoubtedly facing too. May you know His comfort in your struggles. Blessings x

To Be In Your Presence by Noel Richards is such a classic staple worship songā¦ I (Hannah) love taking bits of the song & incorporating or in our soaking sessionsā¦ āTo be in your presence not rushing awayā¦ to cherish each moment.. here I will stayā¦ā This sums up the essence of our vision as In The Wait. I can hear the theological arguments of some folk who may sayā¦ āwe are always in Godās presenceā etc etcā¦ Yes I agree! BUT when we turn our āspiritual eyesā (imagination eyes / the eyes of our heart) towards Jesus & still ourselvesā¦ we find a deeper sense of His Presence.
Iāve practiced this since beau g encouraged to do so by an amazing youth leader āMalcome Morganā when I was 11 years old - waiting in prayer until something shifts in me - my heart is moved, I sometimes have an overwhelming sense of Godās love, sometimes the atmosphere feels āthickā with His peaceā¦ or electric with some kind of Heavenly joy & excitementā¦ Sometimes I need to just believe that Heās close and it takes longer for something to shift in my heart and mindā¦ other times, itās almost instantā¦ What a gift we have as human beings - to access something of the presence of the Creator of the whole world through the person of Jesus Christ! I say this often, but when I sense his presence (along with millions of Jesus followers around the world & through the agesā¦) I feel most āat homeā, most āheldā most āunderstood, loved cherished, peacefulā. He meets me in my pain, my confusion, my questions.. and I know - beyond a shadow of a doubt, that His desire to have my full attention & let me know how much Iām cherished is even greater than my desire to connect with Him. Wow. What a beautiful mysterious and awesome truth!

Our Affection
When I stop & look at Jesusā face in my minds eye (I call this my āimagination eyesā to our kids) something moves in my heart, emotions, mind and even bodyā¦. I literally feel a āwarmth,ā a comfort, deep sense of being loved & seen and known & safeā¦ itās honestly the best! Whatever is going on for me - however things are difficult, I find peace and comfort in this āpostureā. I find it really helps me to visualise Jesus - this moves my heart more than if I just talk (pray) without visualising. Itās so good for us to then āpour our affectionsā onto Him - there is something sooo intrinsically healthy for the human soul & spirit to ālove onā & show our deep gratitude to someone else - moving our attention from ourselves & onto Him.
I have a friend who used to ādo life consciously with Jesusā but doesnāt any more. She is a psychiatrist and loves to now call Jesus my āimaginary freindā. Lol! I guess, my picture in my minds eye may be WAY off what Jesus looks like in the flesh, but itās more of a āspirit to spiritā looking - rather than really defined physical features. Iād love to know what you see if you ever worship Him too - it fascinates me how different we are at relating to God between those of us who seek thisā¦ I could take a step back and physiologically analyse this - perhaps even as some form of āmake beliefā as I visualise Him - but the reality of my sense of deep belonging, the comfort, the wisdom Iāve found in Jesus - which lines up with the experience of millions of other Jesus followers throughout generations, would take more āfaithā for me to deny Him!
I love this song āJesus we love Youā written by Paul and Hannah McClure, - especially the lines, āour affection our devotion poured out on the feet of Jesusāā¦ it helps me engage my spirit & visualise pouring myself & my āaffectionsā out to Him as I sing. Our minds are so busyā¦ full of lists of things we need to do, thinking about relationships, worrying, watching screens etcā¦ we donāt stop our minds.
Psalm 46 talks about being still and knowing that He is Godā¦ I have to tell myself to be still! Once I am still, I find being still in prayer and worship really helps me gain perspective againā¦ He gives me hope in otherwise hopeless situations, He gives me strategies when Iām not sure what to do, He gives us wisdom & all the while thoroughly enjoying being with us.

Proverbs 2 1-5
I believe that learning to listen to God is the most important discipline we can haveā¦ if we are tuned into the voice of God, through the scriptures, through words & pictures and dreams and visionsā¦ we are guided in every other area of our lives.
Being still with an open heart & listening is a good start! Proverbs 2 verses 1-5 says; My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.
Our prayer is that this music will help you to stop, sit, maybe close your eyes and be still so that you can listen :)

Worship with usā¦ āNothing Elseā & āYeshuaā
We thought it would be good to include a couple of our favourite worship songs in our soaking worship session today. Sometimes we need a good āsoakā - to rest & enjoy the presence of God while we ābaskā in his love. Other times, itās great to join Heaven in their praises. It feels like a different posture when weāre āloving on Himā & not just enjoying His presence. During most soaking sessions, I love the Holy Spirit flow as we go from high praise to intimate worship, to intercession, to prophetic declarations, to feeling the heart of God for something painful & it keeps flowing between these things. All the while, my soul gets a good nourishment & feels just that bit more restored than before. Joining Heaven in worshipping God is such a privilege isnāt it!

Live Worship Sleep and Soak in the Presence - Seek His Face
Welcome to our live-streamed session of Cinematic Soaking Worship, where we blend live prayer, meditation, focus and study music. Today's session focuses on the theme of ājust beingā.
The prayer language is such a gift. Weāre so grateful for it. Quite often, my own words just donāt cut it. I run out & donāt even have words to connect my spirit with The Spirit of God. Heaven language (some call it āthe gift of tonguesā) is an incredible spiritual gift that I use frequently to connect to God without having to engage my mind - spirit to Spirit. Jesus takes about sitting at the right hand side of Father God and interceding for us. I believe that as we pray with the Heaven language, we are actually joining with Heavens prayers - for ourselves, for those around us, forā¦ Heaven knows what else! Sometimes I have a sense of what Iām praying about - sometimes I donāt: sometimes people recognise some of the words in their own earthly language, other times, people know exactly what is being prayed & will bring an interpretation.
Toward the end, I sing āTo see your face, the glory of Your face.ā Once singing / praying in Heaven language, sometimes other words can burst outā¦. Picturing His face as we worship is awesome. Seeing His face and meditating on it is the most fulfilling thing on earth!

Welcome to our live-streamed session of Cinematic Soaking Worship, where we blend live prayer, meditation, focus and study music. Today's session focuses on the theme of āJoyā.
We really felt a sense of joy today when doing this session! In the book of Nehemiah in the Bible, chapter 8v10, Nehemiah tells those gathered that āthe joy of the Lord is their strengthā. We experienced this time and time again - when encountering the Holy Spirit, there is a sense of deep JOY! Itās not the same as happiness or pleasure - itās not on a surface level- itās a super deep sense of contentment and joy that is despite any earthy circumstances - itās when we focus on Heavenly things and take on His perspective. Our prayer is that you experience this Joy as you soak / pray / worship to this too.

Welcome to our live-streamed session of Cinematic Soaking Worship, where we blend live prayer, meditation, focus and study music. Today's session focuses on the theme from the book of James in the Bible - chapter 4 & verse 8 āDraw near to God and He will come close to youā.
Weāve always loved meditating on God & enjoying His presence. We are given the invitation to draw close to Him & the promise is that He will come close to us. The reality probably is more that as we spend time meditating on Him, our hearts, bodyās and minds become more aware of His presence & He āfeelsā super close. There have been times when I literally have had my breath taken away as I feel this immense sense of the BEAUTIFUL presence of God.
If this is something youāve never done before - I challenge you! Close your eyes and ask God to reveal Himself to you. Dare to open your heart and my prayer is that you will never be disappointed with what you experience!

Find a comfy spot, sit or lie down, close your eyes, breathe deeply and try and fix your minds eye on God. If you need help with picturing Him - just ask Him to reveal himself. To some, this looks like light or feels like warmth or it might be the face of Jesus, the surrounding love & comfort of the Holy Spirit, or the HUGE perfect fatherās arms.
As you focus in on God, ask him to ābathā you in His love & your role is to let go and āsoakā in Him.

Finding REST in Jesus - Live Soaking Ambient Music for Sleep, Prayer & Meditation
Welcome to our live-streamed session of Cinematic Soaking Worship, where we blend live prayer, meditation, focus and study music. Today's session focuses on the theme from the book of Matthew in the Bible: Chapter 11 & verses 28-30. Jesus says, "Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
Almost every day, we get to the place where we are tired, weary & may often feel burdened too.
We love that promise that we can go to God in prayer and He will give us rest as we mindfully give him our burdens & worriesā¦ We can practice the act of giving Him our worries and actively trusting Him - even in the unknown, even in the pain of so much suffering around us. We can rest in the promise that He is good & that there is hope in Him - even beyond this life.
As we 'come to Him' we can allow His Spirit to fill our hearts and minds with His peace - His. peace that even that goes far beyond our own understanding. What a gift!
