The health podcast series brings you highlights and data snapshots from the wide range of health data collected by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). The Health podcast will showcase this data in a series of short conversations that discuss Australia's health status following release of data from the suite of health surveys conducted by the ABS. The episodes will discuss a variety of topics, including health risk factors such as smoking and obesity, rates of physical activity and dietary behaviour as well as prevalence of long term conditions and patient experiences. For more information on upcoming releases, please see www.abs.gov.au. The podcast series will be regular and aim to highlight aspects of Australia's health in an interesting way.

Australian Social Trends (AST) podcasts bring you short, easy listening highlights from the Australian Bureau of Statistics' latest release of the AST publication. Each quarterly release of AST contains several in depth articles, which cover many broad areas of social concern such as population, health, work and housing just to name a few. We aim to do this in an interesting and easy to understand way. Other aims of AST are to address current and perennial social concerns and to provide answers to key social questions. Each podcast will focus in upon the highlights from a different article.
