  • Don’t let that negative voice bring you down anymore.

Your inner critic is the voice that says you won’t make it, you’re not good enough, and you’re not deserving of success. So many of us battle with this voice for years, especially when we branch out to do something new.

Let’s face it: As female entrepreneurs, our biggest obstacle is not competitors. It’s also not the market. It’s ourselves. After having dealt with this myself for many years, I’ve come up with a framework that’s helped me not only deal with this voice, but silence it.

In this episode, you will learn about:

The amazing accomplishments that your inner critic could be holding you back from. How societal expectations and culture influence our inner critic. How some people use high standards as a scapegoat to fail. What happens when we listen to our inner critic, and why you shouldn’t. How to create your own proof portfolio and why it helps. Examples of times I’ve transformed the narrative (and you can too). One question to ask yourself to instill greater confidence. How to use the 24-hour rule to make better decisions. What to do this week to take the first steps in silencing your inner critic.

  • Let’s turn negative thoughts into positive outcomes.

You may not know this, but I could have written an encyclopedia on rumination and negative thinking. In the past, I’ve let these thoughts sink deep into my soul and impact me in ways that weren’t helpful. Thankfully, I’ve grown since then, and recognized the human tendency towards negative bias.

In this episode, I’m sharing how you can get out of your own way and avoid getting in your own head and through a simple energy shift. If you’re faced with something extremely difficult or even traumatizing, these tips will help you come out on the other side.

In this episode, you will learn about:

The ways I’ve experienced negative thinking outcomes in my own life. How our brains are wired for negative bias and what that means for us. What the comparison trap is and how it can affect your life. The different ways women stand in their own way in business. Why “just thinking positively” doesn’t actually work. Our negative thought triggers and why we need to identify them. How you can create more space in your brain for the good stuff. The one question you can ask yourself to reframe any situation. How to do an energy allocation audit and why it helps.

  • How can you cultivate a strong marriage no matter how busy you are?

My husband and I just got back from a week-long sailing adventure with three other couples. Being stuck on a boat with your partner and other people can test your relationship, but it also revealed a lot to me about our marriage.

Strong marriages aren’t made in the big moments. Rather, they’re created in the small interactions you have with your partner every day. Mastering the art of micro connections can help you build a fortress of intimacy in your relationship so solid that you can weather any storm.

In this episode, you will learn about:

What micro connections are and why they matter in your relationships. Misconceptions about marriage, especially in today’s world. Why maintaining eye contact is so important for feeling understood. The kind of help women want in a marriage and how men can show up. The non-negotiable practice in our house and how we made it easy. How my husband and I protect each other and each other’s energy. What strategic connection points are and why they are meaningful. How spontaneous moments of appreciation can support your partner. Ideas for making your own micro connections that you can start today.

  • Overthinking is a waste of time, so why do we do it?

Some decisions do require extra thought, but most of the thousands of decisions we make each day can be made more easily. It’s easy to get stuck in an overthinking loop that causes stress, costs money, and keeps you from accessing your creativity.

If you’re ready to start moving past overthinking and actually take action, the 5-step process I’m sharing in this episode is for you. Even if overthinking has been a long-standing pattern for you, it is possible to make quicker decisions more confidently.

In this episode, you will learn about:

How the same traits that make you successful can also lead you to overthink. What I learned about overthinking in my early PR agency days. How information overload can get you stuck in overthinking. The pressures of past successes and how they often enable overthinking. How to know when it’s actually time to pivot and move on (or not). The biggest reason you need to stop saying yes to everything. A reminder that you can’t control all the variables to success. The 80% confidence rule and how it can help you take action faster. An exercise you can do today to help you create a reality check.

  • Are you parenting the way you really want to?

My husband, Dan Martell, is back on the podcast today as a guest. In this episode, we’re going back to the early days of parenthood and sharing what it was like having two babies in one year. From dealing with postpartum depression to conflicting expectations, it wasn’t always an easy journey. Now, reflecting onto those days feels more like looking at great memories and stories to share.

Our approach to parenting isn’t for everybody, but we’re choosing to raise our kids in a way that makes sense for our family. For us, that means teaching them what’s important, world schooling them, and allowing them to achieve what they want—not what we want for them.

In this episode, you will learn about:

How Dan felt having two young kids so close together in age. Dan’s favorite age for our kids and what his fondest memories are. What I thought the rules of parenting were (and why I might have been wrong). Dan’s best piece of parenting advice. Why it’s important to let kids lose, plus the teaching moments that come with it. Why we’ve decided to world school our kids next year and what that looks like. Why we want our kids to pursue their own ideas of success. Who we look to for parenting advice (and who we don’t).

Whether you’re an introvert or an extrovert, you can tap into this power and bolster your quiet confidence.

In this episode, you will learn about:

What quiet power is, and what it’s not. How tapping into your quiet power helps you make better connections. Why you don’t have to be shy to own your quiet power. Examples of people who have quiet power. How adding more to a conversation doesn’t always equal adding value. A framework for tapping into your quiet power. How being intentional with your words and presence can increase your impact. Why it’s important to know your natural energy patterns (especially for women). • Is your nervous system getting in the way of your goals?

An overly sensitized nervous system can greatly impact your life and keep you feeling stuck—even when you feel like you’re doing all the biohacking tricks you can think of. Bio Emotional Healing, as we hear Ashleigh Di Lello explain in this episode, is a process based in neuroscience that works to rewire your nervous system out of cycles of stress and pain.

When your nervous system starts to feel safe, you can start to process difficult emotions. While it’s not easy, and it doesn’t always feel good, this is how you begin to break free from numbness. Giving your brain moments of quiet can help you connect with yourself and reboot.

In this episode, you will learn about:

How your brain protects you and when this support starts to feel like punishment. The importance of learning to let go and breaking free of unhelpful patterns. Why our brain holds onto hurtful memories, and where those memories are stored. One tool that’s particularly effective for processing your thoughts and emotions. Why we seek meaning in life’s events and how it can keep you stuck. Common barriers to rewiring your nervous system and how to overcome them. The protective measures our brain has and which ones we need to be conscious of. How we adopt the beliefs others have about us, but why you shouldn’t. What happens when you seek to understand, rather than judge, yourself.

What it means to be a wild woman:

A wild woman is a flexible woman who can adapt with the changes of life.

We often find ourselves chasing control, but here’s the thing: it’s a mirage. The minute we become okay with letting go and not knowing what’s next is the minute you reach your next level.

This episode is loaded with tips to break free from patterns of predictability and how it can skyrocket your growth.

In this episode, you will learn about:

How the prediction versus control trap makes you unhelpfully rigid. How your comfort zone reinforces itself, and what it takes to break free. What happens when you ditch the predictable patterns that don’t serve you. How the scary moments in life can end up being the most rewarding. • What I went through completely changed me.

There’s been some weird energy lately. It comes in the form of uncomfortable conversations that I feel like I’m not ready for. This brought me to reflect on the first emotionally jolting experience I ever had in my career and everything I learned from it.

Success isn’t just about what you do, it’s about how you think. That’s why I’m grateful for what happened to me. As a result, I was able to make mental shifts that elevated my perspective and made me an even better person and leader.

In this episode, you will learn about:

The moment I found out I was getting sued and the worst part of the whole experience. How this bad experience led to one of my greatest transformations. What I was forced to confront after being sued and how it changed my perspective. How I went from a victim mentality to a creator mentality and why it’s important. • Get ready to push past self-doubt and step into your greatness.

  • It’s insanely valuable to protect your yes.

Today I’m chatting with Laura Higgins, a business coach for creatives. We discuss my path through entrepreneurship along with how I went from pleasing others to listening to my own intuition and entering my own healing journey.

Part of this journey has included learning to “protect my yes.” If there’s an opportunity that comes up and it’s not a heck yes, it’s a no. I’ve had a lot of lived experiences that brought me to where I am today, but I have no regrets. Everything in life happens by design—so we can heal ourselves and use that to heal others.

In this episode, you will learn about:

The moment I realized I was chasing someone else’s dreams. How ignoring your needs and desires can leave you feeling depleted. How taking a faith step opens up incredible opportunities. The importance of taking breaks to tap into your intuition and creativity. How you can “protect your yes” and why doing so matters so much to me. How the stories we tell ourselves reinforce our perspective (and how to shift them). An easy way to become okay with disappointing other people. My social media predictions for 2025 and the direction I’m going in. What to do when you feel discouraged because your social strategy isn’t working.
