Resurrection – The Earthly Union of Our Humanity and Divinity

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, I will be focusing on the topic of my forthcoming book, Resurrection—The Earthly Union of Our Humanity and Divinity. The resurrection I’m referring to is one in which one can awaken from the deadness of their egoically based inhumanity to the life-fullness of their humanity being lived in concert with their Divinity. Unfortunately, this is an experience unfamiliar to many who have been unable to awaken to be the Love, Life, and Energy—God Is, within their daily life. And, being unable to recognize and fully embrace the Divine Gifts of their Life, Creating their Life, Eternal Life, and God’s Presence Within them, due to significant ego energy issues. Our earthly resurrection is about fully being our Divine Truth and embracing each of the Divine Gifts, allowing us to experience an earthly version of heaven, here and now.
I’ll be looking at the relationship between our Ego energy and Divine energy that influences the transformation and earthly resurrection that we can bring about, if we so choose. I will be discussing a path of consciousness that we must walk in order to awaken to our Divine Truth and the Divine Gifts which are the endowment and heritage that all have received due to the wisdom of the ages which has unfolded at the hands of God. Not an earthly or humanly constructed version of God. But, God that has existed in the Love, Life, and Energy that is the source of all things and was present long before we humans were here and made possible as the product of creation and evolution. Our earthly resurrection begins with this foundation, the absence of which prevents us from rising from the deadness of our inhumanity, for those who are caught up in it, due to ego energy issues.

Roles People Live – The Bully

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely at people who are living in the role of the Bully. The Bully seeks opportunities to prey upon the weaknesses of others. Each act of bullying adds to their sense of empowerment. The more they can witness weakness within others, the more they can feel empowered. All strategies to accomplish this are welcome. Be they physical, mental, emotional, or social forms of abuse. What they truly seek is to gain as much distance as possible from their own sense of weakness. This is revealed most directly in how often they target the most vulnerable of those whom they encounter. For them, bullying these people is safest, as they are least likely to challenge their sense of empowerment.
During this show, I’ll be drawing upon my book The Two Voices Within to look at the impact of Higher Ego Power on the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of those living in the role of the Bully. I’ll be looking at the “voice” of ego and the messages the Bully is experiencing and working with due to the mixture of their Higher Ego Power energy and their mind. Many of them, the Bully is unaware of, but still exerting a powerful negative impact on their life and unfortunately others. I’ll also be looking at what their ego energy is doing to block the Bully from hearing the voice of spirit which is rooted in their Divinity. An inability to recognize the Love, Life, and Energy—God Is, within their being, due to the great distance being created by their ego energy. When the Bully is able to “hear” the mistruths contained within ego’s voice and the truths in spirit’s voice, the door to transformation can open, and the days of living in the role of Bully can be ended.

Roles People Live – The Stressed-Out Person

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely at people who are living in the role of the Stressed-Out Person. The Stressed-Out Person is prone to find danger lurking around every corner of their life. They are an expert in finding things to worry about. This includes any perceived threats, large or small, real or imagined, currently occurring or yet to occur. They become easily upset, experiences intense feelings of anxiety or anger, and remain upset even after they or someone else has dealt with the threat. They have great difficulty letting go of things and moving on. Their normal/typical state of emotional experience is feeling stressed, and they seem to be lost when not in this state.
During this show, I’ll be drawing upon my book The Two Voices Within to look at the impact of Higher Ego Vulnerability on the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of those living in the role of the Stressed-Out Person. Roles People Live – The Hedonist

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely at people who are living in the role of the Hedonist. The Hedonist has developed an insatiable need for pleasure. They seek to meet this need at every opportunity that presents in which they can experience physical or psychological pleasure. Even when it may come at the expense of others or their own health. They equate pleasure with happiness, and its absence as unhappiness. Unfortunately, their strong desire for pleasure, and limited tolerance for its absence, leads them in the direction of many addictions that can fulfill their pleasure related needs. Which may include but are not limited to alcohol, drugs, food, sex, and gambling.
During this show, I’ll be drawing upon my book The Two Voices Within to look at the impact of Lower Ego Vulnerability on the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of those living in the role of the Hedonist. I’ll be looking at the “voice” of ego and the messages the Hedonist is experiencing and working with due to the mixture of their Lower Ego Vulnerability energy and their mind. Many of them, the Hedonist is unaware of, but still exerting a powerful negative impact on their life and unfortunately others. Roles People Live – The Dependent Person

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely at people who are living in the role of the Dependent Person. The Dependent Person has significant difficulty exercising control and influence over what is taking place in their life. They have little trust in themselves and often look to others for guidance. They question their own judgment and decision-making. Often, wanting others to tell them what to say, think, or do. They are excellent candidates to be exploited, manipulated, or abused. People can readily take over their life, as they readily give away power easily, not even realizing they have it to begin with. They often believe they aren’t entitled to assume or allowed to take control over their own life. They are also excellent at accepting blame for things that were not truly of their own making.
During this show, I’ll be drawing upon my book The Two Voices Within to look at the impact of Lower ego Power on the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of those living in the role of the Dependent Person. Roles People Live – The Traumatized Person

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely at people who are living in the role of the Traumatized Person. The Traumatized Person has been exposed to an event or events in which they have faced the distinct possibility that their life would end. This event or events often reappears in some way, shape, or form within their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, or bodily experiences. The Traumatized Person remains connected to the event/s in order to prevent their reoccurrence and ensure their safety and survival. The event/s often creates a wall between themselves and those who have not encountered a traumatic event, particularly loved ones. It is as though they can never be truly known or understood by those who have not encountered their trauma.

Roles People Live – The Paranoid Person

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely at people who are living in the role of the Paranoid Person. The Paranoid Person has developed a significant distrust for all that is going on around them. They form rigid, inflexible thoughts, particularly about people, often lacking in social validation, which are intended to keep them safe. The only thinking they can and will trust is their own. Exposing themselves to the thinking of others is looked upon by them as placing themselves at risk. Changing their own thinking is also looked upon as dangerous because it represents an admission that they weren’t as protected by their thoughts as they thought they were.
During this show, I’ll be drawing upon my book The Two Voices Within to look at the impact of lower ego flexibility on the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of those living in the role of the Paranoid Person. I’ll be looking at the “voice” of ego and the messages the Paranoid Person is experiencing and working with due to the mixture of their lower ego flexibility energy and their mind. Many of them, the Paranoid Person is unaware of, but still exerting a powerful negative impact on their life and unfortunately others. Roles People Live – The Narcissist

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely at people who are living in the role of the Narcissist. The Narcissist has fallen in love with themselves and wants others to do so as well. Even if that means others must love themselves less. They have an intense sense of self-importance that diminishes those who surround them. Their needs are of the utmost importance and must be met before those of others can be considered. People only exist to meet their needs. They greatly confuse wants with needs, viewing them as being the same. Furthermore, they have great difficulty recognizing any weaknesses within themselves, only noticing their strengths. They are likely to disown those persons who would seek to point out any of their weaknesses to them.

I’ll be looking at the “voice” of ego and the messages the Narcissist is experiencing and working with due to the mixture of their higher ego power energy and their mind. Roles People Live – The Inattentive Person

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely at people who are living in the role of the Inattentive Person. The Inattentive Person is oblivious to much of what is going on within and around them. Their attention is mainly held by that which allows them to experience arousal, excitement, and stimulation, particularly those connected to feeling pleasure. They live in a world of distraction, often going from one idea or task to the next before completing anything. When the novelty or enjoyment of an activity has worn off, they are done, even if the task isn’t. Boredom comes very easily to them. They do poorly with things requiring planning, organizing, or discipline, as they often require effort in the face of boredom. This can apply to their relationships, in which others often experience them as disinterested, insensitive, or reckless. Paying little attention to their needs if they fail to provide the Inattentive Person with excitement and pleasure.

Roles People Live – The Underachiever

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely at people who are living in the role of the Underachiever. The Underachiever achieves less than they are capable of achieving, often significantly underutilizing the talents they possess. This is rooted in the absence of belief in themselves. They have learned to expect failure and can readily find it in whatever they are doing. They often avoid success and are good at overlooking or dismissing their successes and achievement, often turning victory into defeat. This allows them to avoid the responsibility that comes with success and achievement—as this responsibility would remove them from their “comfort zone” of helplessness and ineptitude.
During this show, I’ll be drawing upon my book The Two Voices Within to look at the impact of lower ego power on the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of those living in the role of the Underachiever. The Adult Child is an adult who requires the guidance of others on a frequent basis. They feel lost without this direction and seek it out rather than standing on their own thinking. They trust others more than themselves to know the right things to think, feel, or do. Their spouse or partner is likely to become a mother or father figure, replacing those who served this purpose during their childhood and adolescence. People experience them as quite immature and younger than their actual age.
During this show, I’ll be drawing upon my book The Two Voices Within to look at the impact of higher ego flexibility on the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of those living in the role of the Adult Child. I’ll be looking at the “voice” of ego and the messages the Adult Child is experiencing and working with due to the mixture of their higher ego flexibility and their mind. Roles People Live – The High-Maintenance Partner

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely at people who are living in the role of the High-Maintenance Partner. The High-Maintenance Partner requires frequent acknowledgement, acceptance, and approval from their partner, that often puts an extra strain on the relationship. There are lots of feelings of insecurity and self-doubt that drive them towards these needs .They are very sensitive to signs of rejection and can readily find them in their partner’s thoughts, words, and deeds. Even those which are quite normal and innocent. Often, their partner may have to engage in some form of damage control to help them know they’re still loved and are not going to be abandoned.

Roles People Live – The Racist

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely at people who are living in the role of the Racist. A person who believes that race should have a significant impact on how people who are understood and judged. They often view members of their own race as superior and those not of their own race as inferior. While racism is still widespread in today’s society, they exhibit thoughts and behaviors more overtly than most people and do not question their immorality. The Racist looks upon people of a particular group as lacking in their thoughts, feelings, or behaviors. This often serves as a basis for overt and covert discrimination against this group. They are prone to recognize or emphasize what is different about this group and fail to recognize what is similar to their own racial group. They also stereotype and generalize about members of a particular racial group while failing to recognize dissimilarities and the diversity which exists within this group.
During this show, I’ll be drawing upon my book The Two Voices Within to look at the impact of lower ego flexibility on the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of those living in the role of the Racist. I’ll be looking at the “voice” of ego and the messages the Racist is experiencing and working with due to the mixture of their lower ego flexibility and their mind. A person who is convinced of their superiority entitling them to be an unquestioned influence on others. Often, becoming extremely angered by those who question them and who are seen as seeking to reduce their power and control. This can be a family member or “friend” who acts abusively towards others and has difficulty recognizing their mistreatment of them, when it is so clearly able to be seen.

A person who sees the leader or group as knowing the right thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to emulate and blindly follow in order to bring them to the “truth.” Often, failing to realize that the true leader to follow in one’s life is oneself—not others. To be the leader of one’s life and to be fully accountable for one’s thoughts, words, and deeds—not the leader or group. This can be a family member or friend who suddenly and unexpectedly drops out of familiar social circles because connection to them is no longer permitted by the leader or group.

A person who has a rigid and inflexible approach to their thoughts and thinking, which they see little need to change even when confronted with new, better, or different information, that can serve to enhance the quality of their mind. A person who believes they “own” the truth and believes others should be converted to it. A person who has a propensity to look upon different ideas and beliefs as being deficient, as well as the people who think them. This is someone who can be a family member or friend, a co-worker or employer. Unfortunately, this role often contributes to intolerance, frustration, and resentment of others who do not always share their views and opinions.

Unfortunately, this approach only offers temporary, if any relief, because they are working against the inherent imperfect nature of their humanity. While failing to realize that our perfection resides within our Divinity.

Possibly an acquaintance or stranger. Prisons are filled with them. So are people who work in the white-collar community who can be quite successful, while being skilled at gaming the system. Many are employed in business and as politicians.

Lower Ego Vulnerability and Difficulty Interacting with People in Healthy Ways

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely into the mirror of our ability to interact with people in healthy ways. Another way of putting it is, “How good are we at getting along with people?” Not just friends and family, but people in general. Our success in connecting with people in the broader sense—acquaintances and strangers—has important implications for our social, emotional, and spiritual growth. It’s this growth that allows us to experience peace and love for all people, regardless of their background. Something, many people have trouble doing, which is having a harmful impact on the quality of their lives. Failure to cultivate this growth often sets the stage for mental health, marital, sexual, D&A, legal, and work adjustment difficulties. Unfortunately, for those experiencing lower or higher ego power, flexibility, and vulnerability, there are lots of ‘getting along with people’ issues, rooted in these ego energies, where they have become entrapped in thought, emotional, and behavior patterns, in which they are spending more time surviving in society rather than truly living.
Unfortunately, for those with lower ego vulnerability, their lack of emotion leads to the formation of relationships that are superficial and lacking in emotional depth. They can take or leave them, and if the relationship ends, so what! Their emotional detachment undermines investment in and building relationships of any kind, including those beyond the home and familial setting. They are inclined to “use” relationships for what they can get out of them. This includes their being a potential source of “emotional entertainment” in which they can enjoy the drama and stimulation that comes from being in relationships, including those which are relationships in name only. A relationship can often be like a tool for amusement to them. Once the amusement stops, the relationship stops. They can also come across as insensitive to others, because their lack of empathy and compassion prevents them from realizing the impact they’re having on others. They aren’t particularly interested in the needs of others, particularly the emotional ones, which undermines the formation of healthy relationships. Roles they may find their way into living, until they awaken to their ego energy, include the Hedonist, the Logician, and the Inattentive Person.
During the show I’ll be looking at symptoms, reflections of ego stupidity, and the impact on spiritual wellness which occurs when a person is being affected by lower ego vulnerability energy in their ability to interact with people in healthy ways. I’ll also be looking at specific ego insights needed to transform lower ego vulnerability into a healthier and more balanced place.
