Jackie McLean was raised in Harlem and came up under the wings of Bird, Bud Powell, and Miles Davis, and this fist episode chronicles his early formative years in the scene. He has a really interesting story, and we can't wait to tell it to you here on the show. Let's go back to Harlem in the late 40s-early 50s for this first part and boogie!
