Imam Khalid Latif is a prominent American Muslim chaplain and interfaith leader. Born and raised in New Jersey, he attended New York University (NYU), where he earned a degree in Political Science and Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies. His journey into religious leadership began at NYU, where he became the first Muslim chaplain.
Imam Latif is known for his commitment to fostering interfaith dialogue and understanding. In 2005, he was appointed the first Muslim chaplain at Princeton University, making him one of the youngest chaplains in the country. He later returned to NYU as the university’s full-time Muslim chaplain, a position he continues to hold.
