Join Colette & Leah for this weeks Spotlight episode as the ladies talk with author Laura Kathleen Mesa: Termial Cancer, The Fight, The Dying, The Aftermath. Join us as we discuss what a terminal cancer diagnosis looked like for Kate's husband Larry. Their journey and the aftermath.
Amazon:
Terminal cancer is different from other cancers. When you are told that you have a specific time frame in which to make life really matter, you are on a different path than most people around you. This book looks at our life’s experience, from the diagnosis process to what life is like for me, the widow, in the aftermath of cancer. I discuss the treatments we opted to use, the pragmatic way we moved forward day to day, and the way people helped us during and after cancer. I talk about the religious ways cancer touched us and the areas that need improvement, such as how the church must better care for its widows.
This is a heartfelt, powerful book that teaches people how to understand better, how to be helpful, and what to say to those living and dying on the terminal cancer path.
For the one left behind, this book will help you understand that while you think you’ve lost your mind, what you’re going through is normal. You are living in two realities at once. There are millions of us, so you are not alone. You CAN forge ahead. I hope this book helps you to do just that.
