  • Happy New Year to all Liss 'N Kristi viewers and listeners.

Where have we been the past few weeks? The answer is Kristi has been sick, and we've both been raising money like crazy for her non-profit K9s4Cops and K9s4kids - both of which are shortly to be relaunched under the name k9s.org

In this episode, selling fashion-conscious apparel on "Whatnot" - as they say we "buy, sell and go live".

Meanwhile, Kristi is having her tonsils out, even though her doctor told her he rarely does the procedure on a "woman of fifty". She's figuring out how to host the show without a voice for a few weeks :-)

  • Today, a true crime mystery which appears to be a shocking example of the kind of domestic violence against women which is often overlooked in society.

Kristi and Alissa look at the case of Suzanne Simpson, a high-end real estate broker from San Antonio, Texas, allegedly battered, murdered and dumped by Brad - her husband of 22 years.

He is now in jail awaiting hearings. Her remains haven't been found.

The story has captured people's attention around the world. So many female victims of domestic violence are reluctant to report it.

In this episode, Liss 'N Kristi are appealing to the victims for the courage to speak out, and they offer help and support.

  • This week, we're on our way to St Louis, MO., to record the podcast "The Brighter Side of Blue" which highlights the great work police officers do in American communities.

On the way, we discuss Starbucks' Cardamom Coffee, Elon Musk's new Robovan, and - most extensively - the ongoing saga of P'Nut the Squirrel. It started out as a public health alert, but has mushroomed into a big political issue in New York. There's a perception that the state interfered needlessly in a dispute which, bizarrely, also involves the porn site "Only Fans". Kristi has the very latest on our road trip. Kristi gets the "PRF" treatment, a pioneering procedure that utilizes platelet-rich fiber injections to regenerate bones, and enhance facial appearance.

Alissa gets PCDC injections, known as Kybella. They break down fat cells and encourage natural elimination, all while tightening the skin. Many of the procedures Jamie carries out also mitigate bone loss.

  • Did Sean "Diddy" Combs orchestrate a web of sex, drugs and violence scandals that could eclipse the darkest Hollywood tales?

After a federal grand jury in New York indicted the 54-year-old, and a judge ordered him to a notorious jail, we examine the history of the torrid accusations and rumours, and ask whether society is finally closing in on wealthy abusers. Kristi tells of her time at the Playboy Mansion: "I never saw any oil, I never saw naked bodies" but she also recounts the story of when she was propositioned on the floor of the US Senate.

The charges against Combs include sex offenses and transportation for prostitution, with the indictment claiming he "abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct."

His lawyer, Mark Agnifilo maintained at Combs' initial court appearance that his client is "an innocent man with nothing to hide."

He believes the best politicians see themselves as public servants, and all political dialogue should start "with empathy". He condemns the adversarial nature of today's politics on both sides. • In this episode the Pride of Louisville, Kentucky, JP Davis, offers to support Kristi's non-profits K9s4COPS and K9s4KIDS, which deploy canines and their handlers to protect schoolchildren, hunt down narcotics and dealers, and combat crime across the US.

We discuss how law enforcement dogs could help in the horrific school shootings across the country. They already provide protection for thousands of school children every day, and enhance the school communities in which they serve by safeguarding both the mental and physical welfare of the children. As presidential candidate Nikki Haley asked: "Why don't we have this in every school?"

Then there are the millions of dollars in drugs Kristi's dogs have helped remove from the streets with their law enforcement handlers throughout the United States.

JP is a social entrepreneur, serial mega-fundraiser for important causes, and a gay man who bucks the perception that Louisville is only for straights. He's enjoyed a stellar career which has taken him from White House Intern under George Bush Jr., to assistant to a Conservative member of the UK Parliament, to returning to Louisville to launch his consulting firm, JP Davis Partners, and to his support for both infrastructure organizations and nonprofits.

We discuss the challenges of sustaining non-profit organizations in a world of scarcity, from convincing federal and state lawmakers of the merits of the programs, to the challenge of soliciting the smallest of donations to protect our citizens and communities at large.

  • In this episode, Liss 'N Kristi meet the volunteers (and dogs) from Pom Squad Rescue, non-profit organization committed to providing Pomeranians and other small dog breeds with the exceptional care and love they deserve.

The team members who joined us on our sofa specialize in rescuing dogs in need, including those requiring medical attention, from shelters, owners, breeders, and veterinarian clinics.

With a mission to eliminate the euthanasia of healthy and treatable dogs, they work tirelessly to ensure they find warm, welcoming homes where they can truly thrive. Kristi, Alissa and Winslow have a blast meeting the volunteers and their dogs.

  • Kristi's non-profit "K9s4kids" protects 2.5 million children in schools across America, every day.

In the second installment of our conversation with Texas society influencers Rob Giardinelli and Lance Avery Morgan, we discuss how she got it started, how it works, and the enormous challenge of fundraising to keep K9s4kids and K9s4cops running and growing.

It is easy to imagine how law enforcement dogs could help in the horrific school shootings across the country. But Kristi also explains how they enhance the school communities in which they serve, and how they can help the mental welfare of the children, as well as the physical. As presidential candidate Nikki Haley asked: "Why don't we have this in every school?"

Then there are the millions of dollars in drugs Kristi's dogs have helped remove from the streets with their law enforcement handlers throughout the United States.

The group discusses the challenge of fundraising, from small donations to hosting big gala events, and the cumbersome and paper-eschewing process of applying to state and federal authorities.
