Bam Adebayo played his best game in weeks, scoring 28 points and pulling down 12 rebounds, Tyler Herro added 27 points and the Heat scorched the Washington Wizards 120-94 for their 5th consecutive win.
Pelle Larson and Terry Rozier each scored 15 for the Heat, who have won each of their last 5 wins by 10 points or more.
Jordan Poole had 35 points for the Wizards.
Miami was again without forward Andrew Wiggins and guard Duncan Robinson because of injuries and Kevin Love for personal reasons. Davion Mitchell was ruled out just before tip with an illness.
A 15-0 run in the first quarter put Miami in control for good.
The Heat dominated down low- scoring 68 points in the paint and grabbing 62 rebounds.

Bam Adebayo scored 27 points, Tyler Herro poured in 20 to go along with 7 assists, and the Heat used swarming team defense and deadly 3-point shooting to spoil Jimmy Butler’s return game with a 112-86 smackdown of the Golden State Warriors on Pat Riley Court in Miami.
Alec Burks added 18 for Miami, going 5-7 from 3. Herro was 4-4 from downtown, as Miami shot 68% from distance tonight.
The Heat’s swarming team defense held Butler, in his 1st game back in Miami since the trade last month, to just 11 points.
Jonathan Kuminga scored 15 for Golden State. Draymond Green scored just 3 points for the Warriors.
The Dubs were without Steph Curry for a 2nd straight game with a bruised pelvis.
Golden State never led for only the 5th time this season, and the Heat became the 2nd team this season to hold a 20-point lead on the Warriors in multiple games. The other is Cleveland.
Nikola Jovic- out for 16 games over the last four weeks with a broken shooting hand- could return at any time, but didn't play in this game.
Miami closes this homestand Thursday against Atlanta.

Andrew Wiggins went off for a season-best 42 points, leading the Heat to an exciting 122-105 win over the Charlotte Hornets that snapped Miami’s 10-game losing streak that started all the way back in March 5th at Cleveland.
Wiggins- the former #1 pick of the NBA Draft by the T’Wolves AND an NBA Champ + All-Star with the Warriors- scorched the nets on Pat Riley Court with a masterful 16-of-21 shooting clinic. Wiggins made 6 of his 8 3-pointers.
Wiggins’ 42 points are the second-highest scoring game of his career, and the highest total a Heat player has posted this season.
Tyler Herro- who has scored 40+ points 3 times this season himself- threw in 29 points for Miami, shooting 11-19 and 2-5 from 3.
Nick Smith Jr scored 19 points and LaMelo Ball added 18 points and 11 assists for Charlotte.
The Hornets led by 12 points early, but the Heat ripped off a 22-2 run (including a 15-0 spurt) in a 37-point 2nd quarter to close the 1st half with a 57-47 lead. Miami shot 10-14 over that stretch, while holding Charlotte to 1-10 shooting.
Wiggins scored 15 points in Miami’s 39-point 3rd quarter to pretty much put the game away.
The Heat eliminated the Hornets from playoff contention with the win.
Nikola Jovic, the Heat’s talented young forward, has missed 15 games over the last 4 weeks with a broken shooting hand, is close to making his return.
Miami’s 10-game L-streak tied the 6th-longest in the Heat’s history. The longest was 17.
