Thank you for tuning in to episode 2 of Losing Weight Weekly. I know there are a lot of people like me, many just starting their own personal journey, whether itās a long, long journey like mine, or a quick trip to health, getting there, and appreciating the journey it takes is whatās important. For some, there are a lot of questions. Questions Iāve had found the answers to, or learned the answers the hard way. Iām looking forward to sharing those answers, and some of the fun, and not so fun moments in the months to come, and for, what I hope is a healthier lifetime.
As I said in the podcast, Iāll post a link to tools of interest throughout the podcast weeks, this weekās tool that I use daily is a free tool that can be found in the apple store or in Google Play, I only have androids, so the link is to Google Play, but you can find it on the Apple platform as well. Itās the āMonitor Your Weightā app here:
some of the tools Iāve found are things I use ALL the time, every day, and have found them to be invaluable assets in my journey.

Trackers for food and weight:</b></b>
Play Store or Apple Store:</b></b>
Carb Manager: A super powerful tool that helps you keep your carbs in line with your goals plus a lot more and all of the most powerful aspects are completely free. There is a paid version that you can upgrade to/or not, at any time, but it isnāt necessary at all. </b></b>

</b></b>Glucose and/or Ketone Monitors</b></b>
Iāve included a link here to Keto-Mojo, a very affordable, powerful tool that is an awesome way to keep track of what is really going on inside in regards to ketosis. This little machine can take both glucose AND ketone readings, and the kit comes with a beginner supply of both strips, so you donāt need more than one machine which is great for anyone with concerns regarding their blood sugar levels, whether they are diabetic, pre-diabetic or just serious about the impact of blood sugar on their health. Even if ketones are the sole concern, itās hard to find a blood ketone machine (thatās accurate like this one) for anywhere near the price. Check it out here: </b></b>

If you donāt like the idea of pricking your finger all the time, you can get a ketone breath monitor. I have this one and it works pretty well. I like it and you also donāt have to burn through strips, however, a caveat, it needs to be recalibrated by the company every 300 tests (which is about 3 to 5 months depending on how often you use it). It is also several times more expensive than the Keto-Mojo, so personally, I wouldnāt let the cost of strips be the reason for using the breath ketone measurement instead of blood. When you take into consideration the original cost of the unit, the cost of recalibration every 300 tests, and shipping back to the company for calibration, itās a pretty break-even consideration. However, for the seriously squeamish, or just pain adverse, itās a good option and it is a solid, fairly accurate (nothing is as accurate as a blood test). The Ketoscan can be found here: </b></b>
